if it sat for 6 months the gas will "eat" at the tank lining and "rust" it so you were burning that off and the rust from night dew/dust in exhaust. My uncle had an old truck (from the 50's) that sat for years and we had to bleed the gas tank before we ran it. Love that your battery turned over.
(pt.2) our head gasket. If not than you have the same problem I had, which was a compression problem between your #2 and #3 cylinder! Now here is what you do...remove your head gasket and you should see a burned up gaskett between your #2 and #3 cylinder, which would not allow oil to change color. Replace all gasketts with a gasket kit and change water pump and noises will end, also check timing in the end, Mine runs like a dream now. It wasn't good news but it will fix your problem!! Goodluck
Hello. My name is Chris. I own a 1991 s10 with the 2.5 4cyl. I have had the same EXACT problem you have. And here is what I just got done doing just a couple days ago....I replaced fuel regulator along with throttle position sensor and fuel filter and o2 sensor, even map sensor and and still to no avail...so I began a tune up by replacing plugs and wires, cap and rotor as you did and still...nothing. Check your oil and look at the color, if it looks like too much cream in your coffee, than its y
I have a 4.3 litre 92 s10 and my check engine light comes on after driving for about 5 minutes but if I shut it off and turn it back on it goes off for another 5 minutes any ideas?
