in a fight you should jump in the air often so that you can’t move from that spot, you should also turn around while you’re in the Air in order to get your eyes off the enemy (after all being focused on someone trying to harm or kill you for to long can be very stressfull). You should also vigorously smack the ground in order to intimidate the earth. P.S. this is a joke, I have no doubt that any of these guys could kick my ass, butt this is more of a show/dance rather than a demonstration.
Do you know for what of kind situations the Shaolin invent this kind of masterpiece? To defense their villages. It's still like then, but theres a difference between shows and real fights. That is what they do as a training and because of they have so much technics in it, they are able to use it in a real fight. I do Shao Lin Quan Fa Guan by myself I also learn to handle with weapons by myself.
Im sure the sight of a tiny flying asian man is enough to make you shit your pants, and stun you long enough for them to land a serious fucking thwack in the flurry
If you go at them with your bare hands they would most likely have you on the ground before you can even blink. The Bo staff is a very good choice to keep your distance from your opponent and maintain control of the fight. With its great reach it can easily jab you in the face or your torso with the user at a safe distance. Even if they don't aim on the upper parts of your body they could sweep up your feet or lock them in place and then twirl you around even if you try to reach and grab the boe staff they have ways of countering this move using their entire body and inertia to pull you off. Even with a weapon in your hands it would have to be something that can out do the Bo staff Then again the only thing that can outdo it is possibly another mid range weapon or a long ranged one.
@@wolfiedabrony1802 idk about all that. Sounds a bit overhyped to me. It would be some trouble crossing the distance to them but if you do so quick enough they will only have one chance to strike. If it’s not a substantial blow I’ll successfully tackle them. They won’t have any striking power at close range. Once I get them down Brazilian jui jitsu should prove more than effective to submit them. It’s getting to them that would be tough but a shooting artist such as Khabib Nurmagomenov I’m confident would come out unscathed
@@jonathankey6444 They most likely have imagined people would rush them and have developed techniques to counter. In most fights, a weapon is an advantage. Assuming you did somehow manage to rush them unawares without getting a very fast stick to the noggin, they would likely drop the staff (as it would then be a disadvantage) and engage in hand-to-hand combat. Of course, the skill at spacing with the staff and the unarmed skill will very greatly from monk to monk, and luck is a big factor in this. Raw size and strength factor in, as well, especially considering the staff is a blunt instrument. Generally speaking, though, if someone is well-trained in a weapon, they can use it as a great advantage over unarmed opponents.
@@capiron2316 when I say rush in I’m talking like khabib nurmagamedov. Like one real quick shot for a take down. The game would be easy if I could get to that point
Hi... I like this demo... Can you tell me what Kind of wood and the diameter... I found nothing ... The most staffs i tryed are to heavy or broke so easy... Thx
The waxwood staff provided by TIGERCLAW.com comes in lengths ranging from 74 - 84 inches, with their "wushu" styles staffs being thinner and lighter. www.tigerclaw.com/bo-jo-martial-arts-c-332.html
what the airbenders were doing before the fire nation attacked
What aang was doing when fighting fire lord ozai

I been practicing the "Drunken Master" for 20 years and I'm up to a case of Budweiser now. My dojo/bar is accepting students at happy hour
Nice
they would gracefully mess you up
That was actually surprising, I thought all Shaolin monks have that tough, athletic body.
Can you imagine them being housemaids with broomsticks lol
Maybe if I was drunk
Me and my bois at 2 am trying to kill a fly
Honestly bo is weapon of choice for me because you don't need an permit to carry that in public unlike an sword.
At 01:40 reminds me of Star Wars The Phantom Menace. Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi Wan Kenobi against Darth Maul last light sabers combat.
same dude!
Best way to kill Spiders ;)
I'm dying now😂
STAFF is my favorite! You can do a lot with it.
example hit a person with it
throw a person with it or better
put it in a person with it
Also theres a lot of everyday items that can be inprovised as a staff if you're ever in a pinch.
For a second a thought that it was a shovel on the first one!!!!😂
It does give off the impression.
The traditional ancestor of that weapon was a shovel
Shaolin spade
What will that old man do, c'mon let's bully him
*The old man:*
Sounds like something you would hear on a Rockman X game.
Me and the boys after finding cool sticks at the park:

It is a White Wax Wood staff. You can find them available online at (and currently on Sale) : www.martialartsmart.com/buy-more-save-more.html
Now I know where Killik (from Soul Calibur series) moves came from.

A staff can do well against even a sword user. It keeps distance and can even disarm the sword user. Very useful weapon.

great demo... just felt bad for the guy whose staff broke right in the beginning (or so it seems at least) - but that happens.

800 years ago these guys would look like amateurs.
Fat monks kick more butts than I do, even if they had only kicked one.

Looks pretty weak, they have no real force or determination in their swings. Even for display this was a poor display of skill.
