@@brfjno1 I know it's the theme from the Tim Burton films and yes they DID use the same theme for Batman: The Animated Series. It's the same score and the same notes, what are you talking about? They just adapted a shorter version for the animated show
@@Ethan-wr2os Just play them at the same time, they're pretty similar, almost identical (they hired Elfman to compose the theme for TAS precisely for that reason, to make it as close as possible to the Burton's version) but they are slightly different, and again, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, i love both and they are my childhood and part of the reason why Batman is my favorite superhero : )

I just bought the blu ray complete set from a pawn shop and finally finished it three months ago. Only watched a few episodes growing up as I didn’t grow up with cable.
My dad is 51 years old this is his favorite Batman movie the story of when he got to see it is forever in his memory he just finished moving into his college dorm and the building was doing a movie night and it was the 1989 film of Batman when it first came out

I'll admit I'm not fussed about any other facets of the story, if Keaton wasn't in it I doubt I would care. Hopefully, as the great man said in Batman Returns "things change" and Keaton gets maybe a Batman Beyond movie (allegedly there was one cancelled but maybe if The Flash is a success it could be resurrected)

This is not bad, too sweeping though. The original theme is perfect as is. I don't expect it to sound exactly like The Sinfonia of London, but still the original is miles better. It's like trying to redo the James Bond Theme. It sounds good, but definitely lacking something.
If Danny Elfman suddenly came to my house and brought his orchestra and belted this out, I am going to enjoy it and appreciate that it even happened. Sometimes it is good to hear a different version instead of the same thing. I agree the original is best, but if he has got a different idea 20+ years later, why not put it into practice?
To the OP - Here's the deal: musicians get tired of playing the same thing over and over and over, night after night after night, so they do things to keep the music fresh for them, such as alternate versions for live performances. As said by others, it's DANNY ELFMAN. Just enjoy the piece and not be too critical. Otherwise, write your own music. 🤷♂️
I have to say thanks for the studios being greedy to catch money on our nostalgia, because now I will hear this music on the theater(The Flash) together with the same version of the Batman on it(Michael Keaton)

This is the theme from Tim Burton's Batman, NOT from Batman: TAS, they are not the same but they do sound pretty similar and both are awesome.
