Unless you meditate, you will never become aware of the thoughts in the back of your mind. All great people meditated for that reason. If you fast but don't meditate, then you will never fully discipline the carnal mind to the will of the spiritual mind. Fasting subdues the flesh. Meditating opens the eyes of your heart to His voice. Sometimes that happens when we hear certain music or feel powerfully moved by the divine power of God, but to have a relationship with the divine requires meditation. Many great people have demonstrated the need to do this as great examples of how to live.

The best book I've ever read {twice) was Auobiography of A Yogi by Paramhongsa Yogananda. This is him.I highly recommend his books and the Self Realization Fellowship.

I recently had enough of my situation here in the city.. so much noise pollution and busy minds gets tiring after a while, I was getting woken up from all the traffic and alarms and neighbours kids. I packed bag headed to the middle of the woods pitched a tent, a lovely still clear nights sky all the stars out. I fell asleep so peacefully and slept like a log. No dreams just pure deep peace. I miss the woods

But that’s not true at all, this man constantly says insanely reductive things that aren’t just not scientifically proven (I have plenty of beliefs that aren’s proven scientifically, there’s nothing wrong with that), but directly contradicts what dreams actually are, they aren’t bad.

i actually do alotta flying, bending & breaking physics and have had so many interactions, conversations, insights & epiphanies that i bought an auto voice recorder so i dnt have to turn a light on or even open my eyes to record the fleeting one's. i feel lucky to have the memories over 30yrs of radical dream experiences. it's the most exciting playground. i cant imagine life without dreaming.
And I am totally opposite. Don't see any dreams.

It's profound in the sense it is relatable to many, addresses a significant issue, and addresses a whole process of our minds, all with a simple statement. You also may not be familiar with him, but he was one of the first yogis who came to America and wrote a very famous book, still followed by many today.

That’s because when he was on a ship, heading to America, speaking no English but was suppose to start his teachings in English on the ship, his guru told him not to worry. He gets up in front of the first group and opened his mouth. English language was coming out. It was a beautiful thing. He was a young lad too. I’m thinking mid 20s? Correct me if I’m wrong.
But indeed, a spiritual leader I have felt connected to since I read his book Metaphysical Meditations. Then I found his autobiography. That was all it took. Bring western & eastern religions together was an amazing feet. Respecting all spiritual beings for there is much to learn and multiple spiritual leaders to teach you. Bringing out the TRUTH behind all religions. It’s so beautiful feeling the connections as the beliefs begin to merge. Thank you Lord for your guide ce in his life and helping him as he goes deeper and deeper into his calling. You were and still are a truly amazing spirit.

Yes! But we can “wake up” in this dream life while alive. It’s hard and everyone wants to put you back to sleep bc it’s hard on them bc it forces some ego stuff to surface and they don’t feel good around you or they feel amazing around you if they are on a higher vibration

They didn’t have mobile phones and text in shorthand - that’s probably why. No such thing as LOL back then! Apart from that these days, many kids would have no idea that the English language is derived from ancient Latin. Standards have dropped that is for sure, because people often simply don’t have any self respect, or even if other people respect them. I know someone who continually mispronounces everyday words but even though this is often pointed out he doesn’t think it’s important to be correct. He doesn’t realise this makes him sound uneducated and incompetent . This is an adult too. Some people just do not care . I cannot relate to this attitude either .
