    I’ve known Nicole since the 3rd grade. She has always been an amazing person and friend. Unfortunately, I had to watch her go through this mess. I was sure she was going to die which she actually did a couple times! So glad she was able to pull herself out of it and is now back with us. Hell of a story and I’m happy to have been at least a part of it.

    It was very important that you covered how her actions affected her children by both drugs and DV . This type of neglect and honestly abuse inevitably will affect them the rest of their lives.
    With that said, she’s a strong woman who has a very good personal story of perseverance and moving forward no matter. I thank her for sharing her story.

I know people love JD Delay, and I do too, but I also like somebody who can come back out of these awful situations and be as polite and genteel and put back together as before, even if wiser and more understanding. I REALLY like this girl 💟 Having been stuck on methadone since 2006, I found her description of the suboxone detox heartbreaking (& it happens everyday in jails all over the US).

    • @joshuadill7849
      @joshuadill7849 8 месяцев назад +1

      Methadone was worse than suboxone. Methadone was like herion to me if not worse. Methadone withdrawals about killed me. I know it helps some, but most get 10 times more addicted to Methadone then herion. Its was so hard to get of Methadone. The clinic here would allow you to be one the dose you feel comfortable on. I went to 120mg a day. I saw other at closer to 500mg spilt doses. They were taking 250 mg split doses twice a day. So 500mg all together. Yes it does save some but its just as addictive. Scary.

    • @joshuadill7849
      @joshuadill7849 8 месяцев назад

      Suboxone worked the best, it dont have opiates in it like methadone. Suboxone has opiate blocker in it. Methadone is still an opiate. Methadone is pretty much synthetic herion. So pretty much pure herion with no cuts at all. PURE. im not saying Suboxone is the only answer but its a hell of alot more safer and better then methadone.

    • @patrickbrinkmeier1858
      @patrickbrinkmeier1858 7 месяцев назад

      @@joshuadill7849 ..... Suboxone absolutely has an opioid in it. It's called Buprenorphrine. That is a synthetic opioid. Now, I developed a massive opiate addiction that resulted from being hurt overseas while in the Marines. The doctors at the Veterans hospital had me doped to the gills for years. At one point I was getting morphine 100 mg pills 3 times a day, Dilaudid 8 mg 4 times a day, and got 180 roxicodone 30 mg pills for up to 6 times a day for breakthrough pain. One day I got a new do tor who told me I was on 2 much and she took everything away and put me in Vicodin 7.5 mg and only gave me 90 a month or 3 a day. I went into instant, severe withdrawal from now having such a small dosage from what I was on so I started buying pills off the street. That soon turned into heroin which was cheaper then buying pills. Finally I was speedballing and injecting heroin and cocaine at the same time just to kill my pain. I went to rehab and they put me on methadone. That worked awhile but when I went to get clean and the withdrawal was worse then anything else including heroin. I started using again and after another 2 years did rehab again. This time I did Suboxone. Suboxone was a Godsend. I was on Suboxone for almost 3 years and then quit it cold turkey. I never had withdrawal symptoms and it was the easiest thing in my life. April 27th, 2024 will mark 8 years clean for me. Suboxone saved my life. And I used it as directed and never once had a problem and quit it with no side effects. My doctor gave me a small supply after I told him I was quitting in case I had any symptoms. He gave me 8 of the strips and told me to call him if I needed more or if I had withdrawal. I brought all 8 of those back to his office and put them on his desk to give them back to him.

People in the program are a pain in the neck but after time you will be free of your addiction and then make deep friendships. Eventually you will find that there is so much reward in helping others which is the opposite of what your addiction allows you. All the holding hands and shouting hi is crap and did not exist when I started but you have to get over it. I think God made a bargain with me at the start. « If you can put up with these people I will let you stay sober. « Good luck and get a service job as soon as you start.

      I’m a former addict and you’re still 100% responsible for your actions while in addiction. Feeling shame for what you’ve done and being held accountable are essential to having a desire to stop using.

    I was bought up in an abusive and controlling home and subsequently went on to be in several abusive relationships. I've been single now for 15 years as I just can't trust my own judgement.

    Her story doesn’t add up. She said she got hooked on drugs when her son started being made fun of at school due to alopecia. But in next sentence she says Outback was paying for her oxy after she slipped & fell while pregnant with her son. Then he asks “only pills?” & she says “yes” & in next breath says she graduated to shooting up oxy?!! She’s not being honest with herself or the audience🙄🙄

      She graduated from taking narcotic pills orally to IV when her husband physically and violently forced her on her birthday or Valentine’s Day (I forgot which one)
      She got injured at Outback while pregnant with her son. Once we realize we are addicted to our narcotic prescription (which can happen with normal use or overuse) it becomes an added addiction to just preventing self from going into withdrawal…anything to not feel withdrawal!
      The pharmaceutical industry created new versions to pills to try and end addicts from cooking them up than shooting em up but back then anything could be cooked and put in their IV!

      @@dlwatson52and what she meant was from taking pills orally originally than turned to taking them by IV which she was violently forced to start by ex husband!

      That’s how it started for many of us back then being on a narcotic prescription nobody talked about or really knew physical side effects of it until you feel your first withdrawal!

    Thank you to the person in the back who gave her that bottle of water. Background noises get to me, why i dont know. But dry mouth, eating food real loud. Ocd gets the best of me.
    I hate this trait about myself so im sorry in advance. These storys are so sad, i witnessed my oldest sister go the domestic abuse with the father to her kids and it was awful and now watching her have to go threw life explaining to her kids how there dad was. He abused my twin sister as well and thats when things actually changed. Once he hurt my twin sister, my oldest sister got away finally. The man still harassed her for years. Then he took her kids and claimed to the court that my sister was the abusive one. The court knew he had been covicted of domestic violance multiply times and the court still gave him temporary custody for a month or more. Then one day we were all in court to support my sister and fight for her kids. Then, out of nowhere, he just said that he made it all up and my sister has never been abusive to her kids to the lawyer, so he made her go threw hell for another month of more just cause the greedy bastard thought he was going to get child support and food cards and all kinds of help. When he found out he wasnt getting nothing to be there as a dad, he flipped the script reel quick and bounced.
