Suzuki's V-Strom 800DE brings a brand new mid-size parallel twin platform to the adventure market in the form of a 776cc 270 degree crankshaft engine.
We utilized our RS-12 ADV muffler to develop a Street Series Works Finish slip-on for the new Suzuki to provide a nice tone for the new engine platform but also to help eliminate some weight and to give the V-Strom more power and torque for those off-road excursions. The RS-12 ADV is designed, engineered and developed to take on the rough trails of adventure riding. Spark arrestor sold separately.
The new V-Strom responded to our RS-12 ADV which gave the new Suzuki a shot in the arm with a 1.7% increase in HP and 1.6% increase in torque.
Think we'd stop there? No way! The New V-Strom comes with a custom-made, proprietary carbon fiber heat shield to protect against heat from the tail pipe and give the bike a real one-of-a-kind look. The RS-12 ADV also took off some weight 4.5 lbs. from stock. Now that's nothing to sneeze at!
Yoshimura's RS-12 ADV slip-on system for the Suzuki V-Strom 800 are proudly designed and manufactured in Chino, California. Спорт
Super helpful having this video out there. I just ordered one for my new 800DE.
Thanks for this video. It definitely sold me on this exhaust pipe. I ordered one and it's on the way!
I love the sound..not loud but throaty..thats how it should sound
Love it!! Preordered it as soon as i found out!!! Cant wait….thank you!!
Hope you enjoy it!
Sounds amazing!
Sounds sweet. Looks good. On my 800DE must list.
Now if we could get an exhaust that goes under the tail, where it's not so vulnerable. Sounds great btw!
Not good to be that low on an adv motorbike.
We want and need full system.
Sounds Incredible
Why don’t you guys make big cans like that for sport bikes? I love that look.
They don't require it.
More weight?
less!@@goldnav
Because making 2 different length mufflers (one for catted systems which require minimal quieting, another for uncatted systems which require more quieting) is less of a business model these days, so manufacturers are sticking stubby slip-on mufflers already created for catted systems on the uncatted systems and the result is a loud raspy obnoxious tone, common with short minimal mufflers.
Delete the stickers on the Carbon Fiber tip, your emblem on the can is enough by itself, and way cleaner...(too much red for a bike with yellow) Or offer it as an option...I'd delete mine or peel 'em off when I get it, Rather not have 'em to begin with, just my .02 ...Can't wait to get one (pre-ordered) so someone should authorize some overtime!
What about the air - fuel ratio with the increased flow of the new exhaust? An ECU re flash, etc? Thank you.
This slip-on does not require remaping
je ne trouve pas de distributeur pour ce pot Yoshimura RS-12 pour SUZUKI V-STROM 800DE. quand sera t-il disponible en France ?
Pareil je le recherche en France mais impossible de le trouver
Is this legal in the EU? On your dutch website it appears in the non-EEC category.
We do not homologate for Europe. Sorry!
Can you roughly estimate when there will be an exhaust for the GSX-8S available?
Next year if we make one.
Are you available DB Killer?
What are the weight savings?
4.5 lbs. from stock
Does this require a tuner? Will it hurt the valves without one?
No tune needed for the slip on pipe.
Anyone know the weight of this muffler?
4.5 lbs lighter than stock
Is remapping required?
Not on this slip-on.
V Strom without a V twin engine...is that like the Supra built on a BMW z4?
We think you're onto something!
The V stands for versatile...always has
@@davidgrunklee8407 Eh wrong.
Suzuki:
"The name V-Strom combines V referring to the bikes engine configuration with the German Strom, meaning "stream or current." To differentiate the DL650 from its DL1000 stablemate, users have nicknamed them Wee and Vee, respectively, with the common variation Wee-strom for the DL650."
And since the introduction of the new parallel twin (which fires at the exact same interval as the V-twin), Suzuki has opted now to refer to the "V" in V-strom as "versatile."
When can we buy it???
Link in description. You can reserve one. Should be about 6 -7 weeks
Baffle in or out here?

Original sounds way better. This hydraulic pipe just make irritating noise.
No Hydraulic pipes here!
Said no true motorhead or motorcycle enthusiast.
Nice and silver
Thanks 👍
