Olivia Benson is my all time favorite tv character and I’ll be FURIOUS if she ends up with Elliott, he life and career were better without him.
Some of us have been waiting since 1999 for them to be together..... LET'S DO THIS!!!! Otherwise there is no point to waiting around for this show. They need Elliott to rescue Liv from some kind of danger, like when she was waiting for him with William Lewis! That would really be a full circle moment! Please, don't disappoint the majority of us who are waiting!!!!
To this day, I still watch those episodes with William Lewis, and to this day I still wished Elliot could've reached out to Olivia then.
He didn't care then, he doesn't care now.
Also, Liv has never needed rescuing. She rescues him from all the crap he brings in himself.

The only people that were there for Olivia during the William Lewis situation were Fin, Munch, Cragen, Cassidy, Amanda & Nick (who weren't her partners that long), even Declan, Barba, Rita and in his own way, Tucker, and that says a lot. Olivia's held her own since Elliot left, but still as I mentioned before, he could've reached out to her, and even Kathy was shocked when she heard he hasn't spoken to Olivia in years.

That hospital scene and the life support was hard to watch. I can't believe they exit him like that. That really hits home hard. 😢

yes that compass necklace will always be a reminder of him she is very much in love with him at least he did come and talk to her and told her that he got a new case and will be gone for a while hopefully in the next season she will be wearing the necklace and a reminder to herself that its elliot that will give her the happiness that she deserves

I know what you mean about her getting hurt being the thing that prompts emotional beats between E&O, but I'm fine with it. At this point whatever gets them over the romantic line is okay with me. Also, Olivia hasn't ever been shot before this, so certainly not twice in the same season.

The episode would have been so much better if Benson had taken the shotgun blast to the head. With her character gone and hargitay having less influence, SVU might have become watchable again.

That last scene almost felt like a proposal. The “Liv(e) Laugh Love” ornament Elliot fixed was him practically saying I love you and the compass was basically the ring.

@@debmorton3310 I was wondering the same thing, the way that Elliot explained the compass. But then he did tell her he would be away on assignment for a bit, and organize crime is not coming back till December January.
So there won’t be any cross overs for them , but if that was it, the closest we will ever get that’ll be sad.

Mariska and another producer tried to leave her in the series , but according to interviews and websites , they had already decided to remove her , the writers and other producers , she did not want to leave , but according to them there was no more story for her to develop

Tired of shows putting couples together when it's nice if they just let them remain friends.
That’s what I loved about CSI NY, Mac and Stella were friends to the end and didn’t need any romantic undertones to have a good relationship. Made their dynamic so much more engaging than the constant “will they or won’t they”. Like Bones, Booth and Brennan getting together kind of… made things boring.
When Jamie and Reyes were talking, entering the cabin "I cant wait to leave Ohio!", Jamie went into in detail about -"taking a train across Canada, seeing the Northern Lights the more west you go - while having a beer" I had a deep sad feeling something was about to happen to him. 😕 Seen this in too many shows/movies....even THIS series - when a character is looking to a trip, vacation...plans in the dept. (ex. Sgt. Dodds) retirement, etc. It tragically ends.

I had to stop watch this series because the dangling of Elliot and Liv was getting to the point that i just wanted them to "do it already", and they never do. Aside from that one episode where the pretended to play the part of pimp and pros. where that was the closest they got, I just did not want to wait anymore.

Just seeing this video now (and am behind in the show). Unpopular opinion, I can't approve of Bensler. If Olivia gets together with Stabler, I've got no respect for it. As some have mentioned, Eliot had many chances to get together with Liv, but time and time again chose himself, proving either his selfishness, or that they're not right together, or both. The problem I see is that emotionally, Eliot is too immature, leading him to do hurtful things, perhaps apologize, but not learn from them. Olivia has had multiple relationships where people take advantage of her kindness and just steamroll her for their own happiness. Her standards of how people should treat her are still too low in my opinion that no one asked for. If they got together, what's to say Eliot wouldn't just add to the list of selfish people? If she is to get together, she needs someone who already knows how to prioritize others over themselves, as Liv is the last to prioritize herself. I also think it's important to spread the message out there that IT'S OKAY TO BE SINGLE! Not everyone 'needs a man' (or woman). However, I imagine they will eventually get together because nearly all the fans seem to want it.
I think I got over them getting together when Stabler left SVU I LOVE Organized Crime and I just think it's been too long now that I just don't care anymore. I love the characters but I really want Elliot to find someone new in OC. Love the new series!
