The LSU player shoved an SC player first, and then the tall girl came in and gave a shove back. If you're short and shove someone, you can't complain if someone shoves you back and sends you flying into the first row. She shoved the SC player and tried to walk away like she didn't start something.
That was Fla's second technical foul but the refs refused to assign it to her. The first was the intentional ("non-basketball") foul against Fulwiley to prevent her from the easy layup after she picked Fla's pocket so easily. So Fla has committed two flagrant technicals for the whole world to see, then Cardoso steps up to try to defend Watkins, committing one flagrant technical, and gets ejected for it. After the intentional foul they went separate ways, it was the girl who ran up in Flau'Jae's face and getting into her personal space, instigating the foul that started all of it. When Flau'Jae elbowed for her to get out of her personal space, thats when Shaquille O'neal showed up and shoved Flau'jae.
Not true. Some SC players were literally taunting and screaming in Flau’jae’s face in the 1ST QUARTER and refs didn’t do anything. You never say to yourself “I have to find somebody my size to match up against” That statement that LSU coach made was unrealistic and dumb!!!
Not really, Eben Etzebeth who plays for the Springboks and is a giant never goes for the weakest guy when there's a scuffle on the field. He always scouts for the other 7 footer in the other team and scuffles with them

I don’t understand why the LSU player that threw the elbow in the first place which started the whole thing didn’t get ejected as well. That’s some BS.
Bingo. 100%. ESPN is way off, from the game-side announcers to Stephen Smith and everyone else. You instigate violence... you get ejected. Retaliation should be punished, but never as much as the instigator. Fla committed two technicals within 3 seconds but was only held accountable with the first. Cardoso only committed one and was held accountable for it and was ejected. The double standards reek.
Really bruh, so it is ok for the brother to jump on the court but it is reckless for Coach to make the comments she made? Shay Shay is a straight hypocrite.

Angel Reese is a dawg and Milla is a dawg but Milla didn’t go after her.
Yall crazy she laughed in Angles face. Last year they beat LSU 30 points. Yall just started watching SC only lost 3 games in t3 years none last year nor this year
LSU coach Kim Mulkey will NEVER do what Dawn Staley did. A CLACT ACT. Mulvey exhibited unsportmanship her entire career at Baylor and showed no effort to reel in her players. Her LSU players mimic their coach. No class, no sportsmanship.
My issue is why officials didn't suspend Johnson who didn't get ejected .Since she started this whole thing with her intentional foul then pushing Watkins ?🙄
Say what you want but we in the entertainment game! Both coaches responses were perfectly acceptable to me and I for one loved it! I wanna watch Women’s Basketball more now lol we want competition and fiery competition at that.
I am a fam... I hope all this over so we can appreciate all of the young ladies skill and the product the are trying to sell which is ladies college basketball!!!
Kim Mulkey was totally out of line, strangely this is not the first time her comments are not very coach-like. But for me, the referees were not able to control the game from the start. They allowed physical play, which is ok, but knowing how to read the flow of the game is important.
If Johnson had just only committed the intentional and stayed quiet, none of the ejections would have happened. I don't have a problem with the intentional; they are bound to happen at that stage of a game. As long as everyone walks away afterwards, just send the player to the line for the shots and call it a day.
I don't understand why Cardoso was the only one suspended. In my view, Flau'jae Johnson started things, initially with an aggressive intentional foul on Fulwiley, but more so with another shove to the chest of another South Carolina player, which is the act in which Cardoso responded to. Cardoso earned and deserves her suspension, no place for that in the game. But to me, Johnson was the instigator of the whole thing, without her two acts of aggression, none of this takes place at that moment. Then, why didn't Hailey Van Lith also get penalized for her actions of rushing cross-court and punching the bigger Cardoso, a clear act of aggression, after Johnson hit the floor? Neither Van Lith nor Johnson were penalized or ejected, let alone suspended, and I feel they should have been at least disqualified from the game.
They'll see each other again in the national championship is going to be one of the most legendary games of the season will be more anticipated than any of the men's games just like last year
Amen, Reverend Shannon Sharpe!!! You spoke my sentiments. Coaches need to be examples of professional behavior at all times. So sorry that the scuffle happend!
LSU capping all game. None of those girls have ever beat South Carolina in their entire career. South Carolina is the new UConn. South Carolina should of won it last year
UConn at its peak was unbeatable. SC has never been unbeatable except for maybe 1 season under Dawn. UConn of old would’ve never choked against Iowa like SC did last year. The best team won last year whether you like it or not. This year’s tournament should be interesting though.
I agree with their criticisms of the LSU coach, but I disagree with their dismissiveness of the brother who jumped on to the court. He should be fined and banned from attending games.
Come on, Shannon! I ride with you on a lot of things, but you seem to have some hate for Kim Mulkey! She didn't say she wanted to see a fight. No. We always talk about how men need to be protectors, so he went on the floor to protect his sister. Don't like because it involved women, then change the way we use the phase "men should be protectors".

I notice that today no one is talking about Reese pulling Cardousa's hair and throwing bows.
Bingo. Reese is untouchable because she represents black anger, black resistance, no matter that she is full of anger and hate and classlessness.
Yeah, it was out of control. Those refs should not be officiating any high-stakes games.
Thank you LSU started all of it and they kept on provoking South Carolina until they finally said enough is enough.
@@SkinnyRogers83but they didn't. Angel pulled her hair, not the tiny one.
She also pointed out that the refs only called 2 fouls and that they lets things get to that point.
That was actually true to some extent. The refs didn't call fouls on a bunch of elbows and hair pulling--that was actually being done by LSU players. Fouls against her team, but if the refs called those fouls it could have possibly prevented the fight.
SC was playing physical, and lsu had to show toughness. One ref was calling against lsu the male ref. Dawn is a legendary coach at this point if she continues. I watched lsu coach, she has a great game plan but she doesn’t have that toughness.
This what people are looking over... This is what caused this anyways .

lsu started this and no one is talking about that
Exactly!!! Don't start the fight and play victim
LSU didnt start anything, Flau'Jae knew she committed the intentional foul. Notice her and the girl she fouled didnt even beef.
They set the tone by letting that slide and naturally the buildup led to this. When Flau’jae finally pushed that SC player that got in her face in the 4Q, that had happened like 3 times at least before.

I played multiple sports over the years, and been in a lot of altercations on the court and field. No one EVER matches up by size when there is an altercation. You just go to the action. You never say to yourself “I have to find somebody my size to match up against” That statement that LSU coach made was unrealistic and dumb!!!
😂 that’s a good point. That would be hilarious seeing someone like “okay we are having a fight let’s make sure we match up properly first!”
Not really, Eben Etzebeth who plays for the Springboks and is a giant never goes for the weakest guy when there's a scuffle on the field. He always scouts for the other 7 footer in the other team and scuffles with them
"I wish their midget wouldn't have bitten the ankle of our giant."
It's already March 11 and I am still wondering if we still do March Madness? Lmao
I felt Kim said what she said cause of differences in size. Kim is a woman of class.

Shannon you’re 100% correct!!! Also Kamilla was wrong, but watching Kamilla she is not that kind of person. She is big and was running towards the scuffle and with her size she had no idea the push was going to have such an affect on Flau’jae. Also it was push, yes hard but a push, not a fight.

Dawn Staley a North Philly native showed way more class than Mulkey..
Yes, she did.
Fla apologized to Dawn Staley. She had more integrity and more knowledge and wisdom than the refs. A sad state for the game.
Van Lindth (LSU point guard) also got away with attacking Cardosa in the fight.
Coach Dawn Staley - Class ..... Coach Kim Mulkey - No So Much

She fouled and then Watkins screamed in her face..that's called taunting
She didn't. She pushed hard and violent against Watkins and suffered no consequences because the refs were high on crack throughout.
This is more action then the NBA “fights”
Angel didnt want that smoke 😂
Angel is an Intelligent Leader on her team! She is a Class Act!
Thank you, Stephen and Shannon!
Yep, not all of the LSU players that were involved didn't get ejected or anything.
They'll see each other again in the national championship is going to be one of the most legendary games of the season will be more anticipated than any of the men's games just like last year
