Game 4 is the greatest comeback in ultimate history. Down 3 stocks to 1 at 100%, against a super tough matchup for Wario and the HARDEST character in the game to make a comeback against, with an opponent playing super campy, has to avoid a timeout...and Gluto never wavered. Still in awe.
Yes! Gluto is just beyond amazing. THIS MAN JUST CAN NOT BE COUNTED OUT. No matter how far behind he is, there is always a chance, even if it is ridiculously small. WHAT A COMEBACK!! Against a Sonic too, who is pretty much Wario's worst enemy... 👍👍👍👍
@@legrandliseurtri7495yeah that's what I was thinking, when you have that much of a lead and you are playing a character as quick as Sonic all he had to do was circle camp and may have won a timeout or by eventually whiff punishing Gluto. But that's something I've noticed about Ken's Sonic is that he doesn't camp *as much* as other Sonics like Sonix for example. His play style is slightly more aggressive. I guess he just wanted to finish the game seeing how close Gluto was from death so he kept recklessly approaching when he didn't need to. Still good on Gluto for playing smart and having patience in that scenario.

@@WilliamL583 yeah that one immediately comes to mind, I would mention though, that Tweek at the time wasn't known for having a rock hard mentality, the game was newer and less optimized, joker probably wins the pt matchup or at least does well (whereas wario loses hard to sonic) but yeah the circumstances of the tournament as far as it being grand finals and it being still the biggest smash tournament of all time by a giant margin, does put it up there

These characters really need to play neutral really bad in order to win. Sonic has to keep damaging Wario and prevent a Waft KO while Wario has to make sure he doesn't get timed out by Sonic. This MU has been crazy since Brawl and I enjoy it
Not to discredit Gluto's comeback which might as well be the greatest of Ultimate's history, but Ken threw hard, he had a couple of confirms like 25:39 in which he could've up-air'd instead of nair or he could've just camped and time him out.
That was an incredible comeback game 4, but can we talk about how unlucky Ken was to get sour spot nair 3 times in a row that would’ve killed off the top. He definitely should’ve been throwing more kill options like fair reading wario jump which is what wario always does.

Sonix does a really good job of optimizing his punishes, so he’s not just resetting the sonic Spin Dash neutral constantly and will close out a good amount of his games. Ken is getting like a couple hits off a neutral win and then just immediately resetting. He also runs down the clock a lot more in his sets because of that too
its so anoying to watch or play against Sonics they just go to the sides of the stage and roll to follow with an air combo and if they miss the roll they just do it again infinitly
This was a weird set beciase Ken didn't camp at all after the first game timeout. I think he didn't want to be hated like Sonix which is why he was very aggressive. He would have won if he camped more imo.
