HUBSAN DRONE OWNERS - NEED TO WATCH THIS

  • So I have been having an issue with my Hubsan Zino Mino pro Drone, it's now in the Atlantic Ocean!
So I contacted Hubsan directly and they have analysed the flight log data, they said the reason why my drone did not return to home was because of the high wind - 11mph, I was not sure they go that right.
So I took it upon myself to conduct my own test in higher wind conditions, my drone returned home even when I switched the RC Unit off!
I will not be buying another Hubsan product again - They have lost me as a customer.

Well done Andy. If you are a company that wants to remain in a market you had better be fair and forthcoming to your customer base that is in that market. The drones are expensive and you expect them to be dependable.

Hi Terry. This drone I thought was dependable, that's why I set it out over the sea, it has been way further than that on land and I've not had much of an issue with it before, once again the water claims yet another drone.
No come back from Hubsan yet, I guess they really don't care! 😢

It is a terribly brown sausage drone. Brown sausage. Flies max 20mins not even. They say 40 wow. Those following stuff doesn't work. All the applications make the drone fly against a wall or in the tree. I could not fly it worse manually. Brown sausages everywhere.

mine gone wild and lost signal in 5 meters range only. and flew straight up to the sky with no control until the battery is dead and fall into the sky and heat to a tree and broke my right arm.

Interesting review Andy and well presented. DJI seems to be the market leader for a reason.

Hi Adrian, I think you are right - Next drone will be DJI..!

Plenty of dji drones are lost at sea as well..

    • @jamtjim8984
      @jamtjim8984 Год назад

@@ianharrison2340 Very true. Flying over the sea can be one of the most challenging environments for a drone pilot with many invisible factors to consider. That said I think all things considered that probably DJI offer the best balance between performance, dependability, user friendliness and cost particularly in the entry level/consumer space. If I were to buy a drone for recreational purposes today, I think one could do far worse than a DJI Mini 3 Pro which you can probably get for less than £800 (? Sorry, I dont live in the UK).
I have never flown a Hubsan personally and I am sure they are good for the price, but I suspect that there is a good reason why they are cheep in comparison to DJI. And for clarity, I am not a DJI superfan.. My current drone of choice is not a DJI... but my second drone or choice is!

I realise, that you gave them also 2 chances. Meanwhile I am discharging my battery who has a too high cell voltage deviation :-)))) just a new issue for today. A refined issue :-))

I'd ditch the Hubsan and perhaps go for a DJI, I think the DJI's are more reliable. The Hubsan complaints department were bloody useless!

in high wind, of course battery discharge faster, so if charge not enough the drone prompts to land, it is simple certainty

I wish companies were honest as well. You obviously had a glitch. They should have replaced your drone.

About 3 years ago my new Hubsan Zino, suddenly, fell down to the ground from the elevation about 20’, few minutes after the start, with fully charged battery with the similar wind speed conditions.
After the accident I called Husband dealer first and they referred me to the manufacturer customer services.
After numerous calls they finally picked up my call, During our conversation they asked me for the flight reports, which I did sent them.
After numerous follow up phone calls I finally got back in touch with them. During our conversation they were giving me all kind excuses blaming me for the failure.
I gave up and I did not buy more drones from them.
Based on my experience, I recommend to others potential buyers not to buy Hubsan drones.

Yes, my experience exactly! They equally canmot be bothered with any kind of after-market service. I hope they go bust! Would serve them right.

Hubsan should’ve replaced the drone no excuse. That’s not good and that’s why people have steered away from their products. One thing about this drone that you need to know is that you need to monitor your batteries every 2-3 weeks and make sure they don’t go under 1 bar because they will go into sleep mode and will be a pain in the buttocks to wake em up. Also, you have to calibrate the obstacle avoidance camera every now and then as well if you want them to work properly. By the way, the way you had your antennas set on the rc is not the way they should be, they need to be folded upwards with the flat part facing frontwards, this is the proper way the other way will cause connection issues because they’re facing each other.
    Cheers

I'm sorry but I have a lot of drones from SYMA BUGS /2/3/4/5 to DJI SPARK/AIR/AIR2 and more. But I have only bought one Hubsan the ZINO 2 and only had it a short time and I had a flyaway and crashed about a mile away anyway that was the only had one HUBSAN. I will stay with my DJI MAVIC AIR 2 I have over 300 flights with it and it flies like the day l got it.
