My NH dealer contacted me, they have a product Improvement program that recommends you change the type of fluid due to the gelling issue. They give you 10 gallons of the new fluid and both filters FREE. If you take it to the dealer for service they give you the parts,& fluid, but you pay the labor. 11-9-2023. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for posting the video. I have a 2019 Case Farmall 75. Same tractor, different color. I have learned more watching your videos then I have from the so-called manual or dealer. Again, Thanks!
Hey, great video. I have a couple of NH tractors, and this is the best video I can find anywhere on youtube on how to change the hydraulic fluid on these machines. I appreciated all the detail you included, that helps ... Thank you! Keep the machinery and hay videos coming. I'm in the (multi-year) process of starting a hay farm in the NE Missouri area, so this (and the other project videos and hay videos) are awesome.
Thanks for the info. I didn't want to drain the shaft pump if it wasn't part of the system. Just a heads up lowering the 3 point or loader makes no difference if the tractor is running the volume in the lines and cylinders is the same, you just want the cylinders as collapsed as possible to drain the most fluid.
Keep the videos coming, I just ordered a PowerStar 75 and your a great resource. I’m definitely gonna ask about that filter and if it’s on my tractor as well.
Did a complete oil and filter change on my NH TC33D last summer. For all the filters about 6 and engine and hydraulic oil it was about $500. I have had this tractor for almost 3 years. I moved to PA from GA in Aug of 2020. This winter we had about a week of below freezing temps. My hydraulic oil froze. Had to wait for warmer weather for it to thaw. It's a hydrostatic so could not drive it.
@@CenTexAg Not sure if the oil froze or maybe got some water in the oil. I don't have a barn built yet so all my equipment is outside. Was hoping to get one built before winter but with this Covid BS cant find any lumber and what was available was very expensive
@@CenTexAg yeah gas and diesel prices are rising. Gone up 50 cents a gallon since Biden was elected. Gas here was $2.59 all summer now it is $3.09 in less than a month.
go to your dealer for my newholland 2420 50 hp i got a trans heater it threaded into trans sump you plug it in like a block heater to heat the fluid it was a factory option my dealer got me hope this helps they may make one for your model.
This this the great video. If you have a chance to service TM120 please kindly share the video. I would like to service myself as well. I just bought the second hand.
Thank you. If I had access to one I certainly would make a video. But I don’t know of any around me. It’s mostly Deere and kubota. I’m one of the few that ran a New Holland and now a Massey
I ended up catching a log the other day that put a dent in my hydraulic filter. I'd like to replace it, but not necessarily change all the fluid as it has less than 300 hours on it. How much fluid do you think I would lose if I drop that filter with it still full? wondering if changing it out would be possible. thanks for the great videos.
Awesome! Thanks for the video, will be doing my fluid change soon! I am interested in more info on that one filter they don’t list. Kind of seems like something they should mention at some point.
Yeah I was surprised as well. When I bought my tractor it was an early model when they first came out. So maybe they have since updated the manual or I’m just over looking it completely. If you search the part# on the internet it is used on a variety of other machines like Powerstars and TN’s.
Had a hydraulic filter on my NH that had never been replaced. Everything I could find said not to replace it. But after 20 years I figured it needed to be replaced
Around 9g believe it or not. I was hoping to have more fluid left over to top off the tractor through out the year but was surprised there wasn’t much left.
@@CenTexAg Just got my new wm75 2mo ago 2022 model. It still is not listed in manual to change the reverser filter . Also my original hyd fluid got so thick in the recent deep freez we had the fluid turned to vaseline ! had to put salamander heater on it to get it to thin out and get the tractor to work. When it was in the frozen state it would start and shut down .My dealer said they never heard of the problem and said i got water in the fluid and offered no help! .When i drained the original hyd fluid it was clear , the replacement newholland fluid i used was red in color .I also left the new fluid out side for a day in the -5 weather to make sure it was still liquid before using it. the dealer said the hyd filters were on national back order so your napa numbers were a help ,my local napa had them and i am up and running thanx.I should have looked at the MASSY you just got my self!
Phil - Transmission is sluggish and even stops until throttle lever is lowered in 4-wheel drive; 3-point hitch does not work immediately.. So, I drained the hydraulic fluid and replaced the spin-on filter for NH Workmaster 75 year 2015 and could not see the encased filter. Still have same transmission problem. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help with your nice video.
The 2015 workmaster is different from the 2018 and newer Workmaster 75’s from my understanding. I wish I could help out more but I don’t know enough about the 2015 Workmasters
@@CenTexAg I learned that the 2015 does not have a small paper filter; the problem seems to be with the clutch according to the dealer. Thanks for your reply'
I'm planning on purchasing WM 75 very soon for use in northern MI. I wonder if the block heater would transfer enough heat to the transmission or if I need to do something else. I'll be using it for snow removal ( alot)
Pete I have a workmaster 75 and I live in the UP. I was one of the guys who had the hydraulic fluid get super thick that it wouldn’t pump and actually sent my tractor into shutdown. I ended up changing my fluid to shell rotella. So far it seems to be doing good. I run a 7ft snowblower and the tractor has no problem running it. The best thing to do is keep it stored indoors when not in use during the winter, that allows the block heater to heat more and more efficiently with out the wind pulling the heat away from it. I also put a magnetic block heater on the reservoir area of the hydraulic fluid near the drain. You can get them from tractor supply.
@@johnduchin1877 Thanks for the info I'll look into that heater. Mine will also be inside a barn . I even thought about a heat lamp when it gets really cold. I'll be retiring in the Vanderbilt area in a few year's lots of cold and snow 😁
No not yet, simply because I don’t have any. I did use a 14” two bottom plow. My old 40hp kubota struggled with it the workmaster didn’t even know it was there. I ran a 10ft bush hog last year through really overgrown field with tag alders and bull grass. Again didn’t slow it down.
Quick question , I have the same tractor. I bought it new the beginning of 2021. It only has 409 hours on it. Should I change the fluid now or wait for more hours on it?

Hi please I want the size and size of the hydraulic oil filter for the Newholland tractor 3600.2 Excel do you have the filter number
Would it be worth draining the front axle and hubs at the same time? Does the front axle fill off the same reservoir?
No front axle oil is separate from the hub oil.
How many hours was this servicing at?

Where do I add hydraulic fuel
