Thank you reviewing these watercolor pencils. I have wondered about them. Wonderful information and techniques. I was told by an art professor at university that normally you shouldn't use pencils on wet paper because of how the pigment will stick to the stroke areas and be difficult to move. That being said if you want permanent strokes this is a great way to achieve this.
What a great idea with the permanent strokes - it would be fabulous I would imagine with fur to create the texture where you could have a wash in the background. You've given me ideas and inspired me! Happy coloring x
Thank you for this video. I have the oil based Hero pencil set and I think these will be a good addition to them. I have been eyeing Faber Castell watercolor pencils but the FC are too expensive for someone with no experience in using watercolor pencils.
I have the FC as well but haven't used them much as I don't really use watercolor penciils that much. I'm very happy with how they perform for the price, especially how easy it is to dissolve the pencil marks with hardly any water, plus the price and color selection are positives for me as well. Happy coloring x
I have these and love them. The pigment dissolves TOTALLY in water, and the colors are true and retain the vibrancy even when wet. And I absolutely found the same problem with the gold dissolving. The numbers and color names are large and easy to read.
Yay! So it wasn't just me with the gold! Must be more of something in there that makes it a little more work, not that it was much work just more than the others. They are amazing value for the color range. Glad you love yours. Happy coloring x

I think she meant if you can use pressure on the color pencil when coloring or if it has a soft core meaning it is easier for the led to break when you press down on it.
