Hi Carl/Mike long time no see, lower the handle to around waste height and you will have loads more control over the Westermann. We got one about 9 months ago and love it. New brush is €150

Was thinking of you the other day after noticing you hadn't posted in a while. Good too see you both back!
I hired one of these recently and did about 20 jobs from pathways to driveways and car parks. The first one i got was very worn and only lasted a few days. The second ones head was probably half-worn when i started, nothing left of it when i gave it back a week or so later. I would definitely allow for 1-2 new heads per year.
I'm thinking spraying after is most cost effective and not sure the results would be noticeably better if spraying beforehand. Or, in some cases, spray late autumn/early winter and moss brush late winter.
Good to hear from you mate. Sounds like you got your money's worth when you hired it. You make some good points regarding the spraying. I'll take it case by case.

I use mine now and again and irs ok. You will find that the brush bristles will fall out before they actually wear out.
I have noticed some on the ground. Have you had to replace anything else apart from bristles?
@@dagtailgroundmaintenance everything has been ok upto now. Shes a bit of a bad starter when left for a bit and the handlebars could to with being a bit wider for leverage. Its an ok machine i find.
