🐝🧺 Thanks, super fun reading vlog! Yes, keep going! While these books may not be my cup of tea, I Love hearing your take on this series. So who knows, your enthusiasm could win me over…it does, more times than I can say!😂🥰
That’s so funny!! You’ve totally made me want to read these too!! I started the Seven Sisters series yesterday by Lucinda Riley, very late to the party on that but they’re a similar style in that each book is about each of the sisters separately and their perspectives 📚👩🏫
These books are so NOT my thing, I couldn't even get through the description for each book without losing interest. But I SO enjoyed your review and shared experience of reading them. Since I am not into either book I am going to use book emojis instead. 📘📙📚📙📘
You got me to read Fourth Wing series and since I really enjoyed it, I decided to cave in and bought the series off Amazon. I wish I could have the uk covers!! Ps been watching you since Artsnacks! I love you expanding!!
🧺 I read the first book and wasn’t all that impressed, then something in me made me pick up Daisy Haites and I loved it! Have read the rest of the series now and love it all so much and have a better appreciation for Magnolia, but I’ll always be a Daisy girl 🌼
1. Dang you for making me wanna read them now.. and 2. Have you found that giving up phone time and picking up reading has improved or changed your attention span for reading? I’m trying to get back into it but find my attention span is mush now - and I used to be a days long marathon reader back before internet lok
to answer your question - YES! the big thing is that it's completely changed my routine. in the evenings, all I do is read...so no phone, no tv, and all devices are put on shelves or tables far away from me. I think just having those few hours a day where I read makes it feel like a treat too. because of course, I'd love to just read all damn day, haha! but I can't, so that three hour book block at night feels like my 'me time'.
I just finished Magnolia Parks yesterday and I'm not sure what to think. Nearly all the characters are unlikable but as you said, it's a bag of doritos. The story is definitely entertaining but I don't feel like it's something I need to revisit in the future. I do want to know the rest of the story though.
I totally understand your feelings on it, haha! I went back and forth so much while reading that first book. but once I couldn't stop thinking about it, I realized I was hooked.
I still haven't read book 3 (The Long Way Home)...so I can totally film it as part of a future reading vlog!
