Yes we can still walk by the flesh. Til we get our glorified bodies we still have a law of sin and death that wars against the Spirit, Christ gave us a reborn Spirit, in a body of flesh
I don't understand your teaching about this topic. Maybe because I don't understand English that well. I believe that the old self and the flesh are the same thing. We Christians are still sinners despite we believe in Jesus Christ our Savior and for that He died for my sins on the Cross and resurrected on the third day. We will have a resurrection body in Heaven. We will have that old self at the end of our lives. We can't get rid of it. God will change us how we think and act if we let Him to do that. Still we do sin because we are sinners. Maybe I didn't get something here.
Here is a short book (50 pages) that helped me to understand more concerning the flesh. I read it many years ago, and it agrees 100% with what the Pastor here has said. I'll leave the link and one statement that stands out the most from the book: "There are some things true of us in the Christian life we will not experience until we choose to experience them and believe they are true of us." The book is called "Introduction to Our Oneness in Christ" and you can read it in full here: www.living-by-grace.org/books/Introduction.pdf God bless you.
The word FLESH has different meanings in the bible depending on the context. It can mean; *The human body *The sinful nature *The stronghold in the mind fortified by demonic presence motivated by self-centeredness and pride
It's kinda hard to deny that we still have flesh when we who are following Christ have to grapple with it every day.... bad teaching here, and Biblically erroneous. But, we don't have to walk in the flesh. We can walk in the Spirit and overcome the lusts of the flesh.
@@johnnyjohnson1370 yes and the source of sins now are the flesh. Our spirit can’t produce them so the source needs to come from somewhere. Paul describes the flesh like a factory of sins. The flesh is not just “old behavior” if that would be true than a Christian isn’t able to commit new sins, but he’s able, he’s even able to murder someone. I don’t get this teaching at all
Romans 7 is obviously Paul speaking as a pre-christian. It would be foolish of Paul to say he is given to sin, when Chapter 6 he says we are free from sin, and it would be foolish for Paul to say nothing good dwells in him, when chapter 8 he says Christ dwells in us all Be more careful in studying this topic, it is difficult at the beginning but once you get it you'll experience more freedom in Christ
I learn something new about every time I listen to farley.
Thank you Pastor Farley for this. It's one I'll be sharing with others.
Pastor we sure love you.
Amen thank you Jesus truth makes us free 😇🔥🕊🕊❤️🙏

Same here. Your comment is 3 years old but if you got a answer about this teaching please let me know
So are you saying that that part of us called the soul is the flesh? And not our literal body which we can nip.

really? this guy is wrong. why do we have 1JN2:9. this guy just contradiction.
The most erroneous teaching I've ever heard on the topic. I don't know how you would work with Romans 7 in between 6 and 8.
We are new at the core of our spiritual being but still carry our flesh

@@cuale3688 It is the soul of men that needs to be set free by Jesus Christ. That is why Christ came to earth, to set souls free. hope that helps.
