Great video and info bro. I did get your card. Haven't had a chance to make the video. Thanks!!
That’s awesome! Thanks for letting me know 🦂. No pressure to do a video man, I’m just glad you received it!
🔥🦈🌊
eBay is great, but you definitely need to know what you’re doing. My favorite sellers are Liberty and Pinehurst.
M2 those are good ones, both totally safe sellers to buy from!
🔥🦈🌊
Some awesome tips. One thing I would add is to not be too deterred by one or two negative feedback comments. They may be disgruntled for some reason. Great information sir.
Ya well, some people have their reasons…..disgruntled mostly because people can suck & then the rest SUCK!
Thanks Sal, yeah I think the point is to look at the big picture, but consider all the data, and know what the relevant data is. Heather - are we still talking about eBay? 😄
🔥🦈🌊
@@SilverOceans I was talking about peoples comments……..lol!!!!! Hey!!!😆
I enjoy using the “make offer” feature. I’ve gotten some good deals that way.
Absolutely, it’s a great tool, and from my experience, even better if you can beat everyone else to the punch! thanks T!
🔥🦈🌊
when buying junk silver on ebay make sure to go through and check each coin ... ive quite a few try to slip a few clads in ... one recently had 3 in a 5.00 roll ... it adds up .. but they did send pre 64,s when i asked
That’s interesting, thanks for letting me know about that. I don’t think I’ve ever purchased rolls of junk silver on eBay, that’s something I usually get from a LCS. Thanks for your insight!
🔥🦈🌊
Great vid. So many people are afraid to buy precious metals on eBay. Sellers should do whatever it takes to maintain 100% positive feedback rating.
Yeah I see a ton of hesitation from stackers, but I use eBay. I think you just need to be smart about it.
🔥🦈🌊
I’ve had good and bad. Mostly good. Really enjoyed the video as always. Have a great week! Keep on stacking my friend.
C&C thanks for letting me know your experience! I sent you an email by the way.
🔥🦈🌊
Hi Silver Oceans! I didn't buy anything on Black Friday, as there were very few items on sale that I was interested in. I saw there were some gold maples, but they went very fast. So now I'm saving up my cash for the FUN Show in Orlando in early January. 😎
I think that’s a good play. Coin shows typically have good deals.
🔥🦈🌊
@@SilverOceans I hope to see all of my Silver Stacking Friends at the FUN Show in Orlando in January!😎
Additional tip. Watch out for hijacked accounts with positive feedback. This is definitely a concern today
Thank you, that is very true
How can you tell an account is hijacked?
@@silverbeancounter Long gaps between feedback and seller activity is the best clue otherwise you'll need to do some detective work and Compare other items being sold by the account and if the account is named "ONLY pet supplies" and it has 20 1oz gold bars from the perth mint than it's probably fake.
@@blueridgeocean interesting, I’ve never considered stolen accounts. I haven’t run into this issue.
🔥🦈🌊
Like # 17 I never had a problem buying silver from anybody on eBay. I remember back in the day eBay used to give eBay “buck” as a credit towards future purchase to buy bullion but not anymore. I remember back in 2016 you could get a roll of silver American eagles for about $380. using the eBay bucks.
Oh yeah eBay bucks were awesome! I wish they would bring those back. When they did that, I bought more everyday items from eBay.
🔥🦈🌊
@@SilverOceans stack wide as the ocean. Happy Holidays
Have not purchased from eBay. I appreciate the tos you provided. I picked up a 10 gram bar at spot and two 5 ounce Sunshine stacker rounds. Keep sharing your journey and knowledge with us please. Stay blessed.
Thanks so much Glenn, nice pick ups!
🔥🦈🌊
Great info I'm fairly new too the Stacking game and without this channels I would be lost too say the least an for that I thank you.
Wow, congrats on taking the leap to start your stacking journey. I appreciate your support as well.
🔥🦈🌊
@@SilverOceans Thank you Sir wish I would of started sooner but I'm here now an very focused on my goals an too have great ppl from the community helping an encouraging me I will absolutely meet my goals. Thanks Silver Oceans.. Happy Holidays too you an yours
Great tips on how to navigate Ebay for silver! I did not pick anything up for Black Friday! Not many deals out there this year! Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful week!
Thanks for that, I had a few items in my cart, but I couldn’t get to the checkout page on APMEX. I tried for about 30 minutes then just gave up 😑. I think the spot deals brought out more website traffic this year than in years past.
🔥🦈🌊
Thank you so much for the great knowledge and thank you for the Christmas card my friend. The 10 gram gold bar at spot from SD Bullion was pretty much all I could afford for black Friday this year so I got that.
That’s awesome, I saw that deal, it was available for a while too. Nice pick up for sure my friend, and thank you 👊
🔥🦈🌊
So what you’re saying is to be smart and use common sense on eBay? Imagine that. No wonder I haven’t been scammed on there yet. Lol. Seriously though, I’m sure I’ll get burned eventually, but for now I’m happy with my results. And I just acquired a coin worth over $6000 on eBay too. Sell things around my house - trash into treasure. Great tips and another awesome video Oceans.
Thanks Triple P, that was an awesome pick up. I’ve been working on a little collection myself that will probably be worth around that price all together. I need a couple more coins, but if you find my profile on PCGS registry you could figure out what it is. I hope to complete it sometime next year and make a video. I’m just taking my time looking for the right coins (and prices).
🔥🦈🌊
Great video. Picked up 10 gram gold bar at spot on SD. Thanks for the useful information.
That’s a great deal! You can’t beat gold at spot!
🔥🦈🌊
Great video. Since I’m not that experienced on EBay, I only buy from the online dealers that sell on EBay like Bullion Exchange and Liberty Metals when their prices are lower than on their regular sites. I can use my credit card, get my 2.25% cash back and have the items delivered in a few days rather than wait one or two weeks from dealers on other sites.
Smart move, yeah sometimes the big bullion dealers have good deals on eBay, especially if you’re planning a smaller order.
🔥🦈🌊
Great video Oceans, eBay is definitely a minefield. I buy occasionally from liberty coin and SD bullion has a eBay page.
Great choices PO those are safe bets.
🔥🦈🌊
Excellent tip and tricks for using Ebay! Thank you for sharing this Silver Oceans!
Silver Struck thanks my friend! 👊
🔥🦈🌊
Very helpful for the community Oceans! Ty for the mail btw, will open on the livestream Friday. Regarding your GAW, I’ve won a few times so will pass so others can win. Good luck everyone!
That’s very generous Sarge, I didn’t get to the stream, I’ll need to check it out.
🔥🦈🌊
Black Friday sales were terrible. I have never purchased on eBay and I'm kinda afraid to. If I need to sell in future I'd rather try to sell to trusted RUclipsrs like yourself first. I would Try and give you guys deals yet get little better price then what I could get from a coin shop. This is why I'm trying to make friends in our community and build up a relationship. However your video was very good and I geuss I should at least get registered with Ebay just in case and maybe make a few sales. Thankyou
Thanks for that, yeah you’re pretty well known, so I don’t think you’ll have a problem selling to RUclipsrs or even people who watch stacking videos. That’s not a bad idea!
🔥🦈🌊
Great tips on ebay buys! 👍 Got your Xmas card, loved it! ❤️ Thanks so much brother! 😎 🤠
Thanks WW, I’m glad you got it!
🔥🦈🌊
Merry Christmas Ocean! Thank you for the card. Rob...
Thank you Rob 👊 Merry Christmas!
🔥🦈🌊
Great info! I might try it but for now I'll stick with my LCS and keep collecting Kennedy halves and Roosevelt dimes. "Stack Wide As The Ocean"
Thanks Rob!
🔥🦈🌊
I haven't warmed up to getting shinee'ees on ebay. Thanks for the insight.
Thanks so much Hoosier 👊
🔥🦈🌊
Buy from the major sellers. Liberty, Apmex, Bullion Exchanges, Pinehurst,..are all good.
That’s a great way to stack!
🔥🦈🌊
Great video. Bullion exchanges and APMex are crazy good on eBay.
Thanks, I agree!
🔥🦈🌊
I think most stackers are quite switched on but it never hurts to revise! Buying with PayPal is another layer of protection 👍😀
eBay has switched to their own managed payments. So that PayPal protection is gone. But eBay still provides 30 days for returns. There may be more time if you discover a counterfeit, but I’m not sure.
🔥🦈🌊
Another really sweet video. Thanks Oceans.
Thanks so much Chuck! 🌊
🔥🦈🌊
Great advice for sure! There can definitely be some great items/buys on Ebay, just have to be smart! Had to work Black Friday and Cyber Monday, so no deals for me!
I tried on Black Friday, but the site was bogged down and I threw in the towel. I just went to an LCS over the weekend instead, but no Black Friday deals there, just some junk silver.
🔥🦈🌊
this has lots of good info, thank you
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed this one 👊
🔥🦈🌊
Great info! Thank you!
Thank you Austrian! 🇦🇹👊
🔥🦈🌊
Excellent points SO!
Thank you Campbell’s!
🔥🦈🌊
One other thing to check is the other items they are selling. I've seen many scham accounts selling ASE's for an okay price but using stock photos and then when you look at what else they are selling it's totally unrelated.
That's a good point, your comment was flagged for some reason, and I'm just now seeing it. But if they sell cheaply made overseas item's plus bullion, yeah I'd say that's a red flag.
🔥🦈🌊
LOVE THE HOFFMAN AND HOFFMAN…. SWEEET
Those are some of the best vintage rounds, thanks Steeler!
🔥🦈🌊
Started stacking. Great page
Hey Nick, congrats on starting stacking!
🔥🦈🌊
Or ally when I buy on eBay, I’ll use an amount I’m comfortable loosing in case that specific coin is a dud. Like the 2020 Libertads. That was a gamble.
I bought a 1/10 krugerrand for about $200
I got the John Wick bar for spot on APMEX
Am I got the kilo bar on APMEX that was 1.99 over spot and a 1/10 philharmonic for $218.
I mainly bought today at APMEX because they’re having a giveaway. Making a purchase enrolls you for 100 Oz of ASE, two entries if you use their app. Which I did.
That’s awesome, you got some good stuff there! I’m rooting for you in that ASE contest!
🔥🦈🌊
Just begging, I've learned a lot. Thank you.
Thanks Ironface! 👊
🔥🦈🌊
Let the newbies know how to find the sellers (bullion exchanges, liberty coins or Apmex) lots don’t know how to ‘search’ for those dealers on eBay. Thanks!
That’s a great point Eli, that will need to be included in an eBay follow up video 👍
🔥🦈🌊
@@SilverOceans it might even help me too!!!
@@Eli-qr9hc here’s the key, use this format:
seller:apmex
No spaces after the colon and it will work 👍
🔥🦈🌊
Thanks for the information just getting into stacking.
Thanks for the info, been buying silver off eBay for about 2 years.
The average price on silver is about $30/32, anything lower is questionable.
Also I never buy anything that's outside the country. Sure, fake bullion could be shipped here and then sold, but I figure it does overall lower the chances.
Yeah I’d say that increases your chances of success for sure. Thanks for sharing your experience.
🔥🦈🌊
@@SilverOceans And thank you for the reassurance.
Truthfully, I needed someone _in the know_ to tell me I'm not a nincompoop.
Thank You Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas! 🎄

Thank you for the video, I know I’m late to the party but I’m getting in now.
Better late than never 😄

Ebay is right now pretty central to my strategy of collecting and selling sets. For example when I liquidate a set of Kookaburras or Queens Beasts it will be on Ebay as that is where I will get the premium for a set. You can also pick up good deals on it. I picked up a 5oz Silver Bar cheaper than the online dealers and it was from a legit coin dealer (Pinehurst from memory).
And as for purchases of coins on eBay my first decision is to buy stuff people don't fake. For example I bought 20 x 80% CAD canoes. Nobody is faking common date CAD Canoes. That's my key strategy even before you get to feedback and alerts. I wouldn't buy an ASE, Morgan or Peace on eBay for all the tea in China. Nor do I buy stuff like Indochina Piastres - another hugely faked coin.
Great insight there. Other good buys are items that can just be hard to come by that compliment stacking and collecting like particular Dansco albums, odd sized capsules, or slab boxes.
🔥🦈🌊
Solid advice!
STEADY STACKIN
Hey Strange Azz, thanks for that!
🔥🦈🌊
Good to know, thanks for the info
Hey thanks you for watching Steve!
🔥🦈🌊
I am lucky I live close to liberty coin and the last time I was there they sold me a 5 oz bar for $125
Good content! Thanks for the tips Ocean!
Thank you LJ!
🔥🦈🌊
Very informative video.
Thanks so much Robert!
🔥🦈🌊
All great advice. My only tip on buying from eBay is not buying from eBay. Yeah I know, not very fun. I've just been buying boring old gold.
Dude gold is never boring!
🔥🦈🌊
Buy Silver & Platinum .
🪙🤩
🔥🦈🌊
when buying on ebay if you hold yourself to under $50 per auction or seller you can't get hurt to bad and you can check out the seller to see if is any good. hope this helps somebody
Thanks Ricky! 👊
🔥🦈🌊
I'm not very familiar with using ebay so thanks for the information. 👍
Thanks John, yeah it can seem like a lot to absorb coming in fresh. Then you also learn a lot more as a seller on there that translates to knowledge as a buyer.
🔥🦈🌊
Odd auction end times can be a source for deals
Great tip! I’ve heard of that, like actions ending in the middle of the night. I haven’t looked into it much myself, but I totally believe you.
🔥🦈🌊
Too scared to even try eBay, but I've heard of some deals.
I get that. Paying a lot of attention to the dealers goes a long way on there. The coins and bullion always look good, but equally important on that platform is who it’s coming from.
🔥🦈🌊
Very nice collection sharing 🙂
Stay connected 👍🏻🎄🎅🎄
Thanks so much!
🔥🦈🌊
I shop around and Email people and ask to negotiate with them for a better deal… and they usually work with me…
I agree, I’ve had some success with that. Even if something doesn’t have a best offer option, it doesn’t hurt to ask.
🔥🦈🌊
Hola amigo buenas noches buen trabajo guste del vídeo preciosa colección felicidades gracias por compartir un abrazo 👏👏👌😊☘️👍
Thank you so much!

Anybody else on eBay buy a precious metal and charged tax even though their state is tax exempt? I just did that and eBay has told me 4 times that they would refund the tax. Needless to say, they never replied, emailed or credited my charge card. They told me that their software could not determine which states are tax exempt and which states aren’t. I need to call and request a credit if I buy again in the future. Just wondering how many people are charged tax illegally???
I’m in California, and here bullion purchases over $1500 are tax free. I’ve seen this apply to eBay as well, but I think it all needs to be from the same seller, in the same transaction. Your situation is a little different, I haven’t experienced that.
🔥🦈🌊
I see so many war nickels on eBay. Almost deceptive if you don’t know not to buy these.
Heya ---- great video...
Anyway to tell if misprinted coins are worth something?
Eg 1 euro, 2 euro coins...
Can coins get graded ?
Like Tipp Coin, a grading company, how does that work exactly?
Much Love --- from Germany
Yes, absolutely, you could look to see if there is an attributed variety on PCGC or NGC websites. I know ANACS has a lot more varieties they attribute. And I would only stick with those three grading companies.
🔥🦈🌊
Thanks will look into it, much love R
Got your card and thank you very much
