This is a guide for Tactics Ogre Reborn. In this guide are 12 tips for new players that will help them manage their units, know what to do in battle, and much more.
* Correction for tip #12. I found out that recruiting units in training battle has a 0% chance of working. It makes zero logical sense to me and I don't know why the devs made it this way, and I thought it was a good idea until I found out about this. I apologize for the error. You can still use recruit for storyline battles, and it is a good way to get units into your army and don't have to spend as much time leveling them up. Keep in mind that you can't recruit bosses and unique units.

Great tips, the only thing is this game won't let you recruit through training. If you go back and look, when you try to recruit in training you'll see that the chance is always 0 and the x little dialog box has a red x over it meaning the unit isn't recruitable. You usually see that same symbol on uniques in story fights. Great tips
Im not sure about this.. because im sure i did some recruiting in training...
@@apui4eva check it out next time you're on, I thought I was just having bad luck at first then realized you can't recruit at all there.... which kinda makes sense because you could just fill your army with whatever you needed with no effort.

Weapon skills actually do increase the damage from offensive spells. Not putting your weapon skills on offensive casters is not a great idea.
I have a quick question for the TOR community as a whole, is there ever a reason to want a cleric in your party if you could instead just have priests? It sort of feels like cleric is just a less advanced version of priest, since priest seems to have all the same options with the addition of offensive light magic.
The only character that can be a priest is Catiua. So if you feel like you need even more healing you can put clerics in your party too. In general healing spells are only good early to mid game, late game items heal a lot better.
You need to hit your own unit boosting the speed of raising the weapon skill. Just left 1 enemy. And surround him. Then you can hit each other and heal it as you want. (Debuff paralyze the enemy will help to fasten the turn)
That's a cool idea. I normally wouldn't have the patience to do this, but now that I think about it that's a good way to max out weapon proficiency skills.
last enemy unit: "oh no, im surrounded by the resistance army..... wait.... why are they hitting each other?"
I speed up the enemy if I have a counter on the weapon in skilling it really reduces the time spent training.

How to make sure your units are faster so their turn comes earlier than your enemies? also, are you Chinese?
This part is actually quite complex. Turn order is compromised of a stat called RT or Recovery Time. This stat is based off of several things such as the class of a unit, equipment, weapons, how much a unit moved during a previous turn, and what action a unit took during a previous turn. After all that a RT is assigned to a unit at the end of the turn, and this RT determines how fast a unit can do their next turn. The lower the RT, the faster a unit's turn will come up. And yes I'm Chinese, I'm surprised you can recognize my accent.

Why would you just stubbornly forge ahead and upload a video with blatantly incorrect info? You can even see its incorrect in the footage, the conversation symbol is striked through. How did you think this was a tip when it can't be done in game? How did you arrive at the conclusion that recruiting from training battles was a thing? Seriously I want to know

Such a technical game with pretty much non existent explanation and convoluted story with no sense. Its like the developers wanted us to hate this game
Thats why I I felt like making this guide, there's a lot of things that aren't explained very well at all. Things like line of sight, each unit having to equip consumable items, each units having an element, etc. Those things a new player coming into this game would be somewhat confused since it's different from even other strategy RPG games. I also understand that the original game was made all the way back in 1996, before tutorials were really a thing.

P.s I used a party of Rune fencers only and the main char. It worked well enough till the last boss. Then i draw the line haha. But i saw its possible to actually reach level 50 before the last boss so its easier??
