      Thanks for waiting! I won't take as long to make the next thing this time. Good to see you back. And quite true! I always really liked the J4 from 2008 so I was pretty much never gonna pass up this one.

    Love this jacket.
    But there is some weird stuff about it, like the lack of a pocket or another tec-sys rail on the upper right side.
    Btw the right pocket opening can be opened all the way down and dubbels as a second front zip for a tighter fit.

    • @jackapots
      @jackapots  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah the lack of utilisation on the right side makes no sense. As for the zip, I had absolutely no idea it came apart until now and I’ve had this jacket for almost a year haha. Part of the glory of acronym jackets is that they have hidden features you don’t discover until ages after getting the jacket

    • @jackapots
      @jackapots  11 месяцев назад +2

      It's a Sony A7 IV, but the lens I'm using is probably doing the bulk of the work in how good things look. It's a SEL24F28G. It probably isn't necessary to get an A7 IV unless you really want 4k 60 (which is extremely excessive tbh)

    The idea is amazing! In reality you're gonna look like a buffoon if you fill that thing up. This type of jacket can only work in a very heavy fabric that barely or doesn't drape at all in order to still make it look somewhat normal once there's stuff in it.

    • @jackapots
      @jackapots  10 месяцев назад +1

      Pretty fair comment, I think using the grid is okay as long as you don't zip the jacket up, which I personally never do.

    so every time you take your jacket off, you have to fish all your junk out of its pockets. and if you carry anything bulky or rectangular in that, it'll be sitting against your chest/stomach and bumping against you all day. sitting down and not being able to easily take your load off your body like with a bag kinda sucks. all these jackets with tons of pockets just seem silly, at that point it makes way more sense to carry a laptop bag or backpack.
    i get that this is all mostly for the nerdy cool factor though, and that interests like this don't have to be based in practicality. nice video

    • @jackapots
      @jackapots  10 месяцев назад

      Honestly I haven’t found it so cumbersome, I just have my wallet and some gum in the pockets inside the lining nothing too crazy! Having to remove all the stuff you’re storing is true of any acronym item, especially if I want to change trousers as most of mine have like 8+ pockets

    • @monkeysfromvenus
      @monkeysfromvenus 10 месяцев назад

      @@jackapots lol thanks for responding to what is kind of a hater comment. As excessive as the pockets are, I won't deny that acronym items are fascinating in how they're laid out.

      @@monkeysfromvenus haha all good you were kind enough at the end, it's not for everyone and frankly I've been into acronym for so long I have to wonder how long I'll still be into it myself. Long enough to make a few more videos on the topic at least I imagine!
