i rather take the satchel upgrade over the advanced mining laser, since it's fairly easy to get get 60% cd on your proto with aoe upgrade to boot. makes fighting also easier as you can make space while shooting stuff. also to note when you when you round start a mining round, you have a extra mining mask in your starter o2 box, and next time don't forget to use your armor (topleft buttons) hoodie. inventory is a premium, so you gotta make the most of it, especially as a greedy Minor with lavaland goodies. and you generally don't want to use the voucher ticket to grab the webbing package(900points) directly, both the crusher kit(2450points) and resonator kit(2100points) also give the same explorers webbing but more to boot. points being the net-worth of said packages. both those kits also give you the advanced scanner, which has 2x the scanner range and updates much much faster. it's generally able to keep up running and shooting with a advanced mining laser. "rant mode: engaged" and lastly, always... ALWAYS properly inspect bombs given for mining, yours was clearly missing a timer, so that leaves only one of two other options, signaler, or suicide trigger. 22:41, but well clearly you don't, you missed the signaler, and you also almost blew up mining post too "again" which you have done successfully a few times now might i add over the years. i mean have STATED THIS BEFORE several times in fact, lavaland DOES NOT HAVE MAXCAP RULES. it's cuban pete's heaven with extra shiny loot sprinkled on-top. besides that was still a small mining bomb, i have seen ones made that i used that literally nuked 1/3 of lavaland in a single go. by a certain lizard nerd using only roundstart materials and 7 minutes. but regarding signaler bombs, and there potential impact on rounds. i once was given a mining purpose bomb which was set to a frequency of syndi radio* frequency, which is 121.3. i got blown up with a fellow miner during shuttle transit going down, it blew up the entire mining shuttle, erased from space. i learned from ghosting what *happened. you have to give proper respect to that nerd for a well executed bombing of one of his targets, sadly i was one of those. fun note the centcom radio channel is on frequency 133.7, i have yet to ever see someone go full cuban pete on that one.
@@AnOrMaLdUdE1 well i have been following BPL for a long time, granted he mostly plays just for fun. but you think he pick up some games finer mechanical details over the course of several years. i play the game to have fun too, but i rather do it while alive. and it you play smarter and not harder, you end up having time for more elaborate gimmicks or traitor objectives. so yea once in a while ill have a rant because he still misses some fairly obvious shit, since dead cargonians don't make Cargonia great again.
sadly not many players know how to jury rig your own RnD lab in Cargonia lands. and if sec finds that out. there going to hit you even harder then them visiting to undo Guncargo, trying to getting back to a normal workplace. it's such a shame that folks who want play with "illicit" goodies don't use the mining outpost instead. the QM's door remote can lift access requirement of the shuttle door on and of station, cargo has a surprising amount of door control with said remote on some stations. i mean if there was only a certain QM that could inspire some proper hush hush access to mining, and keep the topic of a nerd castle being build on the mining outpost out of the general channels. eg write down clear orders on your extra paper work instead. just think of the things they could make down there, just order the save option of a antimatter engine, some extra o2 canisters. and before you know it you have a proper outpost. all you need to do next is find some extra willing crew, and possibly a dedicated botanist/chef to also head down there. if we only had someone with friends to organize such a meta raid on tg, it might give the admins something to think about to spice up said round. though some ghost roles might make such a round interesting too. it's not like BPLhas a shortage of folk to come up with some crazy idea's, you just need a bit manpower to try and get such a round rolling.

I liked learning about you used to be able to make money in the mining station; I never knew what that section was for. You should have a 'behind the scenes' series of videos where you show sections of the various stations that are hidden, obsolete, or just buried beneath the sands of time.
Yogstation, especially during US hours is a bit more regimented and less tolerant of powergaming and murderbone. I would say lowpop is definately not a fun place there, but medium and highpop can be fun. It is medium/low RP, but it's also enjoyable for the most part. I tried TG and Goon, Goon is just amazing for just the crazy stuff that goes on, TG is......fun, but in a more mayhem minded way, not sticking to roles or anything.

Before upgrades, the PKA isn't really faster than the pick in terms of mining speed
