  • Part 1 ,Coyote learn how to prepare your coyote pelt for use
Step by step I explain how you repair the pelt, how to prepare the nailing board for your pelt.
This same process is used for most projects using a full skin pelt.
This project is how I'm making a large King size blanket and the steps taken to get to the final blanket, I am using 21 pelts in this blanket and need to do each skin the same way so they are all properly set up to use in a uniform manner. I sew the pelts together with a Bonis Fur Machine a A-16 model. I obtain most of my furrier supplies from " Samuel Bauer Unlimited" a furrier supplier in North Carolina , you can google them.
I used a formula "EZZ Leather" in the water that I brushed into the leather on each skin. It is a liquid concentrate leather softener solution that helps in rehydrating the leather of skin after it was dressed at the tannery.
I am adding parts 2 and 3 as soon as I can as this is a work in progress.

I've always wanted to make a rabbit fur blanket using rabbit pelts. But I don't know how to combine pelts.

Thank you so much for making this. This info is very hard to find from an experienced furrier

Have you slept “under” your blanket? I was thinking about buying a sheepskin rug to replace my feather down comforter which only last a few years.
I cannot seem to find any thoughts on the matter other than for babies to sleep on - nothing about adults.
So i was just wondering if anyone is using a sheepskin or a fur blanket to sleep under & if theyre too hot ans/or too heavy to sleep under.

I honestly don't know, sheepskin usually is used to sleep on top of for the dense cushioning and warmth. You could purchase a small one and try it

@@McCormickLeatherandFurs Thanks for replying back. Yeah, thats what i keep reading and i think im just gonna have to take the chance & try it out, as you said. Its a bit of an expensive gamble, but worst case scenario, i end up with a nice floor rug i guess. 🤷🏻‍♂️
