Glad you.posted those. I wanted to watch this I was at my grandmother's who had Directv at the time but my dad was there and he wanted to watch sports so that is what we watched.
He would tape an enormous number of episodes back to back, as many as 25 in a single weekend. My understanding is that didn’t leave them time for much of a break between episodes, so Dick would leave to get a head start on preparing for the next one.
RIP to Markie Post (1950-2021) and Charles Siebert (1938-2022).
Charles siebert one of the best pyramid players ever😃
And the great Dick Clark (1929-2012).

Hurry Markie, Hurry! adds to the tension and the excitement
I never get tired of how invested Dick is in people’s success in the Winner’s Circle.

As a 13 year old boy when this aired, I did not fully appreciate how hot Markie was. I do now.
Mel and Charlie have the best 3 rounds that The Pyramid has ever done.....Hands Down!
9:27 later became a replay in the 1991 version of Pyramid when Mel became a celebrity.

Mystery 7
Love too find the daytime version of this
If you're referring to The $25k Pyramid, Chuck, you're in luck! I've got plenty of episodes!
How long was mel Harris on?
She seems to be in several episodes.
Rest in peace Markie.
I've always wondered why Dick Clark would leave the stage as the credits start. Usually the host stays and talks to the contestants afterward.
When the show was in new York under the 20000 pyramid he always stays

You can tell Markie laid out in the sun to get her tan. Lovely lady.

The Second Week of THE $100,000 PYRAMID
9/16/1985 through 9/20/1985.
You forgot to point out it has Mel Harris before she was famous
Her husband at the time was David Hume Kennerly. He was a White House photographer during Gerald Ford administration.

Equine variety roast accompaniment
For "Brandy," could she not maybe have said, "There was this 'You're a fine girl' song"? Or maybe, "People drink it out of snifters"?
A), Maybe she was too young to know the song, B), maybe she don't drink.
Foreign steel foreign oil
Was that Chris mayer of dukes of hazzard in the pop commercial
Good golly putting SENTIMENTAL and IMPORTED in the second winner's circle? Yeah you are screwed, cause BOTH subjects were nasty killers.
Easy clue for Imported: Becks Beer.
Imported is even harder than it used to be. Like you could have said Toyotas or vodka back then, but now they make them in the U.S.
For "Cleft," how about, "Some are born with this kind of lip or palate, parted above the bottom lip"?
Surprised that the judge allowed "ambassador" as a clue for embassy.
Red mild cousin of Arby's equine sauce
I'm thinking "main dish" for "plate" was sketchy...
Surprised Markie didn't get buzzed for main DISH on the PLATE clue
Why do I picture the woman in blue as an actress? I'm sure I saw her on tv!! Anyone else think like me?
You won $10,000 . If you win the next round, you will come back and try for $25,000 and maybe be a part in our $100,000 Tournament.
Palate birth defect
Loved the pyrmid
I always thought that if a contest win 10 and 25 thousand they win 35 thousand but only 25 thousand
On the same day
