Cool when I 1st started look at at 3d Printers I wanted a LulzBot but could not afford it. May have to look at them again when this comes out.

The Prusa parts aren't very pretty either, over extrusion if a quick way to ensure part strength.

Love the Taz series of machines, solid workhorse printers. But in my opinion there are 3 things that need to happen for Lulzbot to compete with Raise3D, Ultimaker, and Prusa.
    1. Enclosures - the machine needs to be enclosed and quiet to be suitable for a home or classroom environment. Also a enclosure, reduces exposure to VOCs and UFPs, you could also include a air filter to further improve the air quality.
    2. Change the extruder/hotend! Work with a company like DyzeDesign and improve the extruder setup. Right now it's clunky, super expensive, and performs poorly compared to the off-the-shelf solutions available. I changed the hotend & extruder on all my Taz machines.
    3. Invest in UI. Get a touch screen, enable sending G-code via Wi-Fi, heck put in a webcam or have a kit people can configure. Make it super easy to use and not just easy but fun!
It's great to see a made in the USA 3D printer at a affordable price, but it's still a business world, competition is stiff, and consumers will be looking for value.
Finally, you have great customer service, but the products need to be improved.
    Good luck!!

I still have my Lulz bot, but I'm looking at other printers. I would get a newer model, but it seems like your printers are overpriced for what other printers go for like the Ender 3... ender 3 has auto bed leveling, which is my main ask, and the biggest I have is that I can change the nozzle without fear of losing my warranty. the taz 6 i have will always hold a place on my desk for projects (got it as a graduation present for uni) but Im looking for a printer that more modular.

      Hi Felix,
Final pricing will depend on the customization options that you choose, this information will be available at launch. It will be fun when we can share more about the machine and show its printed parts later on.
For now they are tough, functional prints that get the job done. This machine will be an excellent entry point for 3D printing.
Whereas the Mini 2, TAZ Workhorse, and TAZ Pro are all excellent options in our existing lineup made everyday in Fargo, ND!

What is the difference that makes it more expensive?

@@Lulzbot3D the print quality on the parts is quite rough, printers like Creality and prusa Mk3 have better prints by default, and i know as a former TAZ3 owner that i had better prints than that, and that was almost 6 years ago :D
