i came back home to Singapore FROM Kota Kinabalu Sabah Malaysia in end Dec 2020 just to sign some gov documents. I have planned to spend a few days with my dad & siblings before flying back again to undergo another 7 days of Malaysia hotel quarantine. (Cannot quarantine at home if you're from overseas). 14 days of Hotel SHN at Grand Corpthorne Hotel however 2 days before check-out, Malaysia imposed 2nd MCO. My flights were cancelled. Thanks for sharing your experience. I can totally empathize what you are going through, it's really not easy crossing borders these days during the pandemic. I'm sure it must have cost you a fortune to quarantine in Singapore as well as again in Malaysia when you returned. And that's not including covid tests, transport arrangements and etc. I'm optimistic that the situation will gradually improve later half this year, if there's no newer and meaner variant outbreaking. As we can see now, Singapore is slowly shifting to lesser restriction and quarantine when you enter from lower risk countries. Hi, I'm a tourist from Philippines and got my 2 jabs of Pfizer (finally😁😋) I know my country is still on high risk lane but if I wanna travel SG but coming from different country of origin not from PH say for example Brunei, will the border allow me in? Thank you in advance😊
From the get go - if you are short term visiting tourist without the necessary visa or work pass to enter Singapore, you will not be able to enter. If you have PR/work pass/relations to citizen, and if you have a travel history in staying at Brunei in the past 21 days or any of the countries that are listed in Category 2 of the chart as shown, you can enter Singapore with a 7 day quarantine, even with a Vaccination status. I think the Vaccinated Travel Lane is only dedicated for citizens of Brunei and Germany only, and they have to fly specific dedicated flights with a return ticket that are extremely expensive. So to answer you question, technically yes, Singapore will allow you in based on the country where you have traveled in the last 21 days, but you have to meet the visa requirements first before looking at the covid border restriction.
This is very helpful! I just want to ask regarding the vaccination record, what kind of proof did they require from the immigration when entering Singapore?
