I just want to say you are such an inspiration for young girls!! Keep doing what you're doing, we need more role models like you 💕
I thought I already knew it all by following your channel, but I realized that much of what I thought were assumptions! I did not know you had so much hands on experience. This is really cool to hear because where I'm from (Italy - although I have been living abroad), it's 100% uncommon to have side jobs of any type. Let alone responsibility roles such as paralegal or bank telling. I really admire how you have been creating your own path as opposed to heavily relying on one stream only ie academia only, or experience-only. I can relate because along my studies I always stuffed my schedule with internships and a lot of volunteering for causes I was passionate about. I never fit in much in the "economics student association" type of activity, but I never let that limit me in developing important skills. Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for watching!!! Yeahh I know there are a lot of assumptions from people not knowing I landed these positions so I thought it would be fitting to make a video on it. I really wanted to share the detail and nitty gritty intimation to really tell my story. I’m glad you enjoyed it! Xx
I'm from Italy as well, and I landed a job a senior position in a bank at 24 and everyone keeps on treating me like in the office's mascotte cause of my age. Also my hiring almost didnt' go through cause someone of the Senior Managers taught I was too young.
Your videos are great, you’ve definitely encouraged me to under take a mortgage broker course all the here in London! 🤗
Thank you Dilsharan! Yayyy thats awesome - so glad to hear that. Keep hustling.
I'm always impressed by how things work abroad and how much easier it is to get a job at an early age. I live in Greece and I've been applying for jobs since I was 18. Whether that was an internship, part-time, paid or unpaid, I was so focused on developing new skills, yet for whatever reason, even if I ended up in top picks for interviews, I'd end up being told they'd rather pick someone older or they found someone that is more suited and now I'm 25 and still nothing has happened. I've applied for infinite jobs lol. I decided to use my time as best as I could, so I studied two majors simultaneously, one of them being art. I'm working as a freelancer illustrator thanks to my art degree and it is quite funny how lots of people think that i.e. my industrial management degree is gonna get me further than an art one. Sigh. 😆
oooh that is very interesting! Yeah it's just the working culture to get more people starting work earlier in life to become financially stable and contribute to the economy. I know this isn't the case for many other countries as well! It's pretty unfortunate that its the case - but I think you made the most of your time by studying and also doing the freelance stuff. Have you thought about expanding the freelance side of things and maybe pursuing that more seriously to make a solid income from that? I suggest also simultaneously keep applying for those jobs - you never know when things might work out! Good luck with everything!
@@successbysanjna Yeah, I'm not giving up. I have been resilient for so long 😄 I am just considering moving abroad. Thanks for the input!
Love your videos! I relate to you a lot and interested in a career at Big 4/ Financial Services so this really helps me.
Extremely happy with this information, it's motivational and helpful, just wondering how you managed work politics?
Thanks Isha! I didnt even get involved in workplace politics - I'm not about that life haha i just avoid it
@@successbysanjna ?? I always avoid the politics and become bottom of the pecking order because of it
Just discovered you and I’m glad I did 🥳 love from Canada!!
Yay! Thank you! xxx
Thankyou this was so helpful :)
You're so welcome!
Great video! That's what I was waiting for 😍 I agree with having work experience, in my opinion if you can't find the job because you have let's say 15h a week that You can spend working - put yourself to some student organisation or club to just gain some communication/management/team work skills 🙈
I'm 24, starting my last year of master's degree and soon starting to apply for graduate programs for next year 😌 I used to work in my field (finance) during my bachelor years (in Poland, as I'm Polish) but here in Italy it's so much harder to find part time job in international company as a student, mostly in current covid situation, so I decided to make RUclips channel (because less time means more time as you are organised better and You don't waste your time) and apply for graduate programs starting after my graduation 😌😌
Hope You're all good and have a great day 😚♥️
Kudos to you for starting a RUclips channel! I think everyone should start one haha. thanks for the kind words - I really do appreciate it! All the best with your future career prospects! xx
@@successbysanjna thank You! 💪🙈
That was a very informative and honest video Sanja! And congratulations on your success so far💕 I think you should make a video for the late bloomers as well on how they can up their game even if they’re late! That would be really helpful.
*Sanjna sorry my bad!
Thanks Ankita! Awesome idea! I will definitely add that to my list :)
bySanjna can’t wait!
I‘ve a real problem…i‘ve done my apprenticeship as an automation technician with 22 y.o, but i am really interested into banking and finance and want to switch my career. My goal would be studying banking & finance and i will have done my bachelor degree at the age of 28-29 y.o pretty late. Do I have still a chance to get into banking?
100% where there is a will there is a way :)
thanks for this informative and useful video
Thanks for watching xx
hey
it was really great your story and I wish had a mentor like you as I just graduated doing the same degree as you from la Trobe in Melbourne
Good luck!
Did you put all these jobs on your CV or did you select the ones you felt were most relevant?
The most relevant offcourse. If it doesn't make sense to the job you are applying for then that job must not be included.
The way you speak is so amazing 👍🌟 .
And your contents are just 💥💥.
May be I will come Sydney next year for my masters. Hope we can meet
Thank you! 😃 yes definitely!

You’re a girl boss. How amazing
haha 😊 thank you
hey sanjna i am bcom final year student and i am currently planning to clear FRM level 1 and level 2. Can you please tell me how much FRM will help me in banking sector as a fresher. And thankyou very much for this information
Hi Raptor, im assuming FRM is Financial Risk Management right? If you are looking to get into a risk position at a bank then definitely this will assist you in understanding concepts and obviously getting recognised. Are you looking to apply in Australia?
Yes Financial Risk Management, actually i am from india and I dont have much knowledge about how to apply for jobs in other countries. So i will probably look for job in India
Thanks for wonderful informative video . Requesting an answer. I am working in Oman working as an inventory-purchase admin and earning 10 lacs per year . I have done master of commerce 5 years back . If I do frm now will I be getting a job in Canada or UK as a fresher or do I have to get 2 years of experience as a trainee ?
hello! just a little confused on what your actual degree was? Thank you so much for this video, so much help!
My degree was a Commerce degree, with a dual major in economics and commercial law :)
So you got in KPMG for risk consulting with an Economics degree? Because I'm doing an Economics degree and I want to get into doing risk consulting.
Correct, but in Australia it's not mandatory for an economics degree. You can be from any background :)
Hey! Did you show your work experience in your family restaurant in your resume ? If yes how did u mention it ?
Yes sure did - however only when I needed to show it because as I got more experience the older experience became unnecessary to include in my CV. I always keep it relevant as possible and always tailor it to suit the job :) I had included it as waitress duties at a restaurant - no one needs to know what the relationship is, experience is experience :)
bySanjna yes that is true thanks for replying ❤️❤️
Hey Sanjna, which lens do you have on that camera?
Hey Aaron, it’s the Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 :)
What qualification we need to become bank manager
None haha - it's just about experience and a basic degree in like commerce should do the trick (however not mandatory)
Hey Sanjana just one question, so you basically did a Bachelor's and then worked at the bank and made your way into the managerial position?
Btw would it be fine if I dm'ed you my queries ? I am 18 with a hell lot of doubts for my carrier.
Hey Joel, Nup I was working while studying as well :) sure feel free to send me an email.
@@successbysanjna thank you ❤️
Want to tell that I am in class 9 not good in maths at all, basic concepts are not clear at all can I be a banker if I take commerce in 11?
100% - Let me tell you I also wasnt great at maths. I did general maths, usually maths is not required. There are calculators these days!
@@successbysanjna thank you so much maam 🥺
Your videos are really inspiring.. Thanks for sharing your story with us.. It really motivate us.. Actually I have taken a break from doing job n now I am fearful of starting my career again.. Thanks for motivation..
You can do it! Just get straight into :)
Do I need any certification to become internal auditor?
It's not necessary, but you can do your Certificate of Internal Auditors if you want :)
Wow. I'm currently doing my 3rd year in Bcom financial accountancy 🇿🇦
And I have no work experience whatsoever 😂😭
I've never worked a day in my life. Went straight from high school to university. I only have one year left and I'm quite scared. I feel like I'm at a disadvantage here. Going into the work force without any experience.
That’s okay don’t stress. If you can start now it’ll help a lot. Just get the ball rolling :) good luck!
Hope hi. What are you doing now?
@Logics Mathe hi, I’m still finishing up the degree. It was an extended programme
Hi Sanjna, I’m Huong. Many thanks for the informative video! I would really love to connect with you on LinkedIn. I hope that’s alright with you?
Thanks - sure no worries! :)
can i ask what is your salary as a bank risk manger
It was $110K :)
Great journey!
1. My question is where do you belong to India?
2. Where did you get your education? India or Australia?
Thanks! I am from Himachal Pradesh. I studied in Australia :)
@@successbysanjna Thank you so much Sanjana!
You're an inspiration for me.
What University did you go to?
Macquarie University in Sydney :)
People who pronounce data as data and not d a t a watching this like 👁👄👁
haha i dont get it?
bySanjna the pronunciation you used for data is only used in Australia and sometimes in USA by some people 🙈🙈 that’s why
@@niuddi oh yeah that’s because I’m Australian haha
@@successbysanjna oh yeah I know 😂
yeah... different places... different pronunciations
Slow down blinky bill
Haha why?
