    Yubitsume ((指詰め) or 'finger shortening', specifically the tip of your pinky in the Yakuza signifies atoning for one's mistake or actions. The offender then wraps the severed joint and submits the 'package' to his oyabun or immediate boss.
    Also it's not impossible to leave the Yakuza but it is hard former crime syndicate members are struggling to find jobs after putting the yakuza world behind them. In the decade ending in 2020, some 5,900 people were able to leave crime syndicates with the help of police and others, but only 3.5% of them went on to find work.

      @LeoneYamada Год назад +10

      You do realize they aren't thugs.... Right? There just normal people who work outside of the law because they don't believe the law is really doing it's job... The fact there are Yakuza AT ALL is proof there existence is at least in some way justified. They are not mean unless your an asshole who deserves to get shit on.... Think of them like that 1 kid in class who was always bigger then everyone else who always protected the nerd and would jump in a fight to protect the nerd when fights break out. The teachers don't like that kid breaking the bullies nose... But the bullies absolutely deserve it... There actually pretty cool people to hang around and even better people to make your friends as you know they won't tolerate someone fucking with you.
      Some of them do get out of line tho sadly. So as much as I respect them I don't believe all of them are justified in what they do... But at there core there just bullies who bully other bullies. Which is kinda cool

    • @Dutchology
      @Dutchology 11 месяцев назад

      @@yamanocchi4876Well they personally don't, but they hire people from countries like Nigeria to trick people (Mostly tourists) to go to a "Bar" to drink "Beer with discount" and eventually it turns out to be a small stripclub in a appartment, you will be the only visitor in that "bar" and they lock the door, they mostly have 2 big guys as security and 3-4 girls to "please" you, even if you didn't ask for that. They will also order beer and eventually you have to pay for their beer, with prices that are crazy (most of the times) you have to pay, otherwise they take you hostage until you finally pay. So Yakuza members don't do it personally, but they are the reason that innocent people are treated bad.

    If only real life Yakuza were like Kiryu. But yeah, the Yakuza are a dying breed of criminal. The Japanese government has been coming down HARD on them over the past three decades. They used to have free rein, they practically owned the government. But now they’ve been decimated by Anti-Yakuza laws. I’m interested to see what the Like a Dragon franchise will do about this seeing as how the games are caught up with modern times. RGG already heavily involved a lot of the anti-yakuza stuff in Yakuza: Like a Dragon. But thinks have gotten even worse for the Yakuza since then. Can’t wait to see what they do with that.

    R.I.P Junko Furuta.... You are always in our hearts.
    I'm not even japanese, I'm from South India, yesterday i came to know the most utmost crime and injustice ever happened in human history. My entire memory is about Junko Furuta❤️ she has 2 brothers, mom, dad.... Can't even imagine how they cope with it.
    This happened in 1989.
