Christians don't entertain other deities because we know they're false. It's not wise to go to church on one day then head to a shrine worshipping another entity the next. Because we know other spiritual beings exist such as angels and demons. Angels of the The Most High do not ask you to worship them nor do they want to take any praise away from God. Thus if a spiritual being is trying to take worship away from God then you're likely dealing with a demon. Doing so directly goes against the first Command. Regardless if your doing this ignorantly or not it still displeases God. God alone is sufficient if there is anything you need pray to the Lord.
