Tony’s is still the best in my heart. I try to go there with my family as often as I can. I normally get just a plain cheese pizza, New York style. It’s easily the best pizza I’ve ever had, even after going to New York City and many cities in Italy.
My old favorite place was a smaller place called Paradise Pizza, down in West Portal. It closed around half a year ago, but it was so good. RIP.
Honestly Tony’s is great, so many styles to choose from. Thank you for watching
The best New York Style Slice I've ever had was from Tony G's SLICE HOUSE Location at Oracle Park
Tonys used to be good they had coal fired oven special dough and cheese from italy Olympic pizza spinners , no more now typical Latin gang in kitchen, still good but not the best

Great stuff! And, I would say SPG is definitely worthy of the title currently. Del Popolo, PizzaHacker, and Cellarmaker House of Pizza should be in consideration as well.

I travel 3 hours to eat Zachary’s in the East Bay but look forward to trying some of these my next trip to SF.

U should try Little Star deep dish pizza. They are way better than Zachary's
Great videos, I recently moved to Vegas. I would luv to visit SFO it’s so close from LAS, but everyone tells me to stay away from SFO. You’re videos changed my mind, I’ll visit in the Spring. 😊
Thats awesome! Come see for yourself and make up your own mind about SF. I’d recommend staying away from touristy stuff (fisherman’s wharf) and finding the real great stuff to do. Maybe I’ll make a video about that...

They didn't even try Golden Boys. And this was like comparing apples to oranges to onions. You had Neapolitan, American style, chicago style, then Sicilian style...that's bogus.

San Franciscan native for 40yrs and when it comes to Mexican and Chinese and Thai and other Latin cuisine we are on point. Pizza? Eh...it's alright. Been to knew York and they know what FLAVOR is. Guess these transplants hate flavor lol

Pasquale's pizza on Irving street in the inner Sunset is really good, also the old Vince's pizza now know as (shit I forget it's name) on Geary street in the Richmond is great. Also Golden Boy pizza in North Beach on Green street is delicious!!!! 👍

been around the world twice and all 50 States and all of Canada and the best pizza in the world is Napoli on 1045 polk st, must get the plain cheese pizza and tell them you want it crispy $3 a slice open till 3 am

i appreciate the effort, but you have to compare apples to apples. you cant compare a "neapolitan" style (tonys, flour+water, delfphina) to a ny style (gioias) to a deep dish (little star, square pie). they're totally different things, with different ratios of cheese, sauce and dough (and different dough styles). i get that its all pizza, but you have to at least be clear of what you're looking for in a pizza, because a NYer (for instance) looking for a little nostalgic satisfaction isn't gonna find it in a detroit square slice, NO MATTER HOW GOOD IT IS (and i'm not hating on thick pizza or on square pie guys, i love a good sicilian slice!).
so, as a chef and someone who grew up in NJ, here is my list of decent NY-style cheese pizza places in SF: ZA pizza in nob hill, SF hole in the wall in marina, pizza place on noriega in sunset, irving pizza in tenderloin (its not "awesome," but its cheap and very close to the slice shop style of nyc), gioia in filmore, village pizza in richmond (same bracket as irving), tony's in north beach, presidio pizza co in pac heights, gabriella's ny pizza in mission.
also, kathleen and her seniore's recommendation should have been an immediate disqualification from the "pros team" 😂
I'll give them all a try, but PLEASE: keep your snouts and schnozolas off-a my pie. Not just because of CoVid, just sniff your own slice, "per favore." Other than that, nicely done.

obviously, you guys aren't from new york city or boston, i could just look at that square pizza and throw it in the garbage. for beginners it had an inch of dough and the top looked burned.
Too many Neapolitan style pizzas. A “San Francisco Pizza” is more traditional. Giorgio’s or Pasquale’s are old school San Francisco style pizzas.

95% of these are hype trains. Good quality but mostly the typical overpriced “ traditional “ pizzeria.
