Thank you so much everyone for all these encouraging and beautiful comments. I am reading every single one of them and it makes me so happy. I really really really appreciate 🙏🙏
Hello, I really enjoy your work. I’m an American living in the Philippines. I enjoy underwater photography and video but I am starting to photograph the wildlife here. I’m learning a lot from your videos. Thank you so much
Everytime I watch Morten Hilmer vlog. The time passes by and suddenly it's the end of the video and man I never want it to finish. I always wish, oh! what if it was a bit longer ? I don't know what happens to my attention span. I am so focused watching these videos, 40 minutes feels so short. Thanks a lot for such a beautiful thing you deliver here Morten.
Morten. This video brought me to tears. I am from Canada and lived there until I was 43. I had a small farm just east of Winnipeg and you could not see my house from the road. There was no one behind me for 7 miles and I bordered a provincial forest. I was hunter, bowhunter and a photographer, but also owned an agency in the city, a 35 minute commute. I would come home and watch the wildlife in the yard, go for walk on my place, hunt deer in the back and sometimes take my dog by quad a mile down the road for ducks. It's a long story, but I sold everything and in some strange way, ended up in the concrete jungle of LA in 2012. I have been trying to get out ever since. There is no wildlife here and it is very hard on me. I still do photography and film, but it's more commercial and documentary. Hopefully soon, I will be back in the woods again where I belong. In the meantime I will keep watching your films and dream that I am there with you. Thank you for doing what you do and sharing it with us.
Thanks a lot for sharing your story and thoughts Sheldon. I totally understand how you must feel in the city. I really hope you’ll find your way back to your roots. Until then I’ll do my best to keep your dream alive😊 See you out there…
@@joshhead9368 Hi Josh. I made it up to Fargo, North Dakota at least and got up to Manitoba for visit last November. Perhaps I'll get back to Canada, but at least I'm out of LA. Thanks buddy.
Thank you Morten, you inspire. It is amazing to see your videos showing us what is possible if you focus on what you love to do. I am a 63 year old women and I am going to Churchill Manitoba to photograph the polar bears, because you help me live my long life dream. Thank you for all you do for us. Have fun in Norway!
You probably have the most soothing and peaceful channels on youtube. After a hectic and stressful day at work, it's always nice to see a new video of yours pop up.
You must be the most humble authentic youtuber in the history, so glad I discovered you years ago & see that fame hasn't changed you. Pay off deserved for sure :)
As a new wildlife RUclipsr I’m very much enjoying your videos Morten. You’re my favorite RUclipsr and your stories and cinematic footage are a great inspiration. Thanks from Canada.
Hi Simon and thanks a lot for your nice compliment. I’m looking forward to seeing some of your videos when I’m back from Norway. I wish you all the best luck with your photography and your RUclips adventure. We need more people to speak for all the creatures in nature who can’t speak for themselves…
We have squirrels, brown and black; as well as badgers, but the badgers are ferret badgers, so a lot smaller! We also have a ton of snakes and centipedes for those sitting in the jungle from Spring onwards...
Hey Morten, thank you so much for sharing this beautiful moments, recordings and photos with us! That's so inspiring and it makes me want to go out and take pictures and videos. Moments like the deer encounter you had are always overwhelming. In my last RUclips video I also tried to photograph deer. I sat down at the edge of a forest and after a few hours a doe and her fawn came out of the forest just a few metres away from me. It was such a great experience and the shots I was able to take fascinate me every time I look at them! Keep up the good work, Morten and good luck with the squirrels! Greetings from Germany Max
I can only agree with you, Max! Some encounters in nature are simply overwhelming! I just watched your video and wow! You are only 14 years old and you are so involved with nature. Your footage is really impressive. It's worth taking a look. Keep up the good work, Max and Morten!
Hey Morten! Thank you for this beautiful piece of art you brought us. Not only are you a great photographer but also a fantastic videographer and a storyteller... I believe you really enjoyed photographing the raccoon dog. A month ago I also managed to get my first photos o this beautiful specie and was mesmerized by this encounter. Thank you for inspiring me with each video and making me a better person. Lots of love and take care Morten!
The video, The narration, The pictures, The mood you created, the choice of music... Everything... Man it was awesome... 40 minutes went by in a blink...
Morten, I may be a photographer in the (completely different) motorcycle industry, but your videos inspire me so so much for my own video journey that I've recently started. Yours always comfort and soothe me and are one of the few I can watch completely without distractions. Thank you so much
Thanks for inviting us to your farm, Morten. That is a type of photography that I love. Over the last 35 years we have planted so many trees that provide food for wildlife that I seldom leave home to do photography anymore. We have many whitetail does and fawns this season that I can just step out and photograph. We have a white oak tree that has bushels of acorns this year and the squirrels are loving it. What they don't eat they drop on the ground and the deer love them. We also have a red oak tree and the squirrels start on it earlier in the season. I set up a "Hollywood" set on the back porch and I photograph birds in whatever setting that I put together to look good. I'm glad to see you making the most of your place for wildlife. Plant some nut trees and you'll eventually find that you have so many squirrels that they are pests. But you'll have deer and birds, too. BTW, I really liked that one picture of the raccoon dog. Stood out like 3D. Good luck with squirrel hunting at your friend's place. Don't forget to get some of those nuts to plant in pots. You can transplant them later and have some good wildlife attractors in a few years.
Love the Racoon Dog shots Morten and love how you don't completely obliterate things with the depth of field! So many photographers are so happy to have just an eye in focus and screw the rest of the animal. Yours are perfection 👍👍👍
Sitting down and watching a new Morton vlog with a cup of coffee in the morning... does it get any better? Your enthusiasm is contagious. I'm always amazed how your passion for every creature translates into your photos.
Your videos are always so mellow and filled with delightful surprises. I love the music you choose to complement the visual mood you create. Thanks for your art, on every level.
Yet again, Morten. You are blowing us away with your minimalistik wildlife videos,- your passion and determination is fantastic and I always enjoy to be a part of your community. Mojn
Thank you for your sensitivity to nature, your wonderful and loving nature when you observe the animals and photograph them. We are all one. And we should have more humility towards the beauty around us.
Thank you, Morten, for your films. You are currently my inspiration, and I always come back to watch your movies. I love watching them because you speak so calmly and naturally; nothing feels fake. I also photograph nature myself, so I know how challenging it can be to communicate with wild nature at times.Thank you for your films, and I hope to meet you in person someday. Greetings from Poland! Michał.
I have been watching your videos for 5 years or so now, and I am always happy to see a new one. Your videos inspired me to get serious about wildlife photography, be out in the cold and winter, and really improve. Thank you for creating these vignettes into your experience.
Thank you Morten for this video. It was a great view into your work on your little farm. I use camouflage stuff from the german company Ghosthood. It is very lightweight und easy to carry. I was just standing 15m in front of a roe deer and it dit not recognize, that I´m not a bush.
I love your videos ! You are living the dream of many people I think! I am also an amateur photographer and I envy you :) Really , really great videos and beautiful nature
Love the work you do Morten! Beautiful how you encounter all of nature with wonder and awe! A squirrel to you is a novelty, I unfortunately have to regularly catch them in my attic and relocate them miles away. Squirrels will come back even from 3 to 5 miles away. I hate to do it, but they cause so much damage in the attic... Again, from around the world us following you, how much of nature that is just outside our homes we take for granted.
Marvellous story telling once again Morten and love how you just integrate yourself into nature's surroundings. Thank you for sharing such wonderful moments with us
I really love this type of videos as they show what you are up to when not photographing and I of course approve of all the Bjørn content ;) I'm eagerly awaiting the announcement for the 2023 calendar :D Fingers crossed for some squirrels at some point :) 🤞Enjoy your trip to Norway!
New visitor at your channel. So far away from cagefighting, violence, lipfillers, silicone, war, powerty, see me hear me love me anarcists as it gets. lovely colours, humor, animals, music and a real nice human for host. Good fuel for building serenity :-) And ofcourse one might learn one or two things about photographing also:-) Tack för att du delar med dig Morten
You’re my most favorite wildlife photographer. Such a beautiful and joy to watch video. You just show here that wildlife photography it’s all about emotion and spending time with the nature.
Nice to see the wildlife variety on your farm area. Who's right is it to say a species can't live .Nature is self governing and sorts itself out .Nice to see video .Great Job Morten.👍😊
I wish to be just like you when I grow up….wait….I’m older than you! Shoot, well if we all have some of your spirit and love for the wildlife our world will be a better place! Thanks for sharing so much wonder and beauty!
Another masterpiece, quality as usual all the way through. Badgers, Deer, Racoon dogs, Squirrels and a dog covered in poop. Morton takes us on yet another timeless relaxing wildlife journey. Always get excited when I see Morton has posted a new video. He is the reason I took my son out and we found local badgers and deer. So my son and I can appreciate our little bit of countryside outside the concrete jungle we live in. You grow attached to these animals that you find, and it hurts when as Morton mentioned in the video one of them gets run over. Sadly one of our badgers died and I was heavy hearted for a few days. The power of nature, it draws you in. Thanks Morton you helped create more memories for my son and myself and taught a younger generation what it is like to appreciate the wildlife we have around us.
I’m truly humbled Brian. It really touch me to read through your words. The fact that I can somehow reach far beyond the fences around my small farm and inspire you and your son is still hard for me to understand. It makes me very happy and very grateful. Inspiring people out there and the next generations to appreciate and take better care of nature - exactly that is my biggest motivation. Thanks again. See you out there…
Very pleasing video that shows how difficult and not predictable it is to bring back home a great photograph. Congratulations for your long hours of work.
Sometimes just taking a few steps back from our day to day self imposed pressures, getting out in nature without expectations, is the best reset we need. Nature has mastered this gift. Your home is blessed with such a beautiful array of wildlife. Thank so much for all your hard work and dedication to wildlife and nature, but most of all thank you for sharing.
Thank you once again Morten for this amazing video. Your excitement is just so contagious, makes me wanna go out and just be in nature immediately. Please never stop making these video! I can't wait to get out of the military in a few years and finally make my life all about nature - you're such an inspiration to me... But for now, enjoy Norway!
what a heartwarming episode. My favourite has to be the raccoon dog not popular in Europe but find they are loved in Asia. A lot of hard work but we are thankful for your sharing these precious moments with us.🤩 💐
Thank you so much for this wonderful video. You inspire me. Your love of what you do and the appreciation, gentleness and love for your subjects should be a lesson to everyone.
Hi Morten what a nice video. with a glimpse into your world. what a beautiful place you live there in northern denmark. it is a piece of paradise on earth. thanks for sharing and looking forward to your next video of your adventures as a full time wildlife photographer .
Thank you sooo, soooo much for this absolutely beautiful and stunning video! I love the pictures of the racoondogs! What a great story you tell and I hope the squirrel will come back! Thanx Morten! I really, really enjoyed the shortest 40 minutes in my life! God bless and have a wonderful time i Norge! Much love and greetings from Austria
Great to see you making a video again, such a beautiful and peaceful life through hard work and dedication. Looking forward to seeing more when you have time. 🏴
I can't tell you how much I love your videos. I love the quiet making. not so overpowered. just you, the gear, the animals - really great. and always when i watch your videos I am motivated to go out and shoot
Morten, I love how you create and tell stories. Your love of nature includes all creatures large and small. The fact that you waited and watched days for the red squirrel says a lot about who you are as a human being and a nature photographer. Where I live in the US people dislike squirrels.I love watching them, especially when they chase each other. Thank you for sharing your time and talent with us.
Fantastic Video Morten. It’s always so relaxing to listen to your words and watch and listen to your videos. A great way to start the day, fresh coffee and a Morten Hilmer Video.
your photography and your music makes nature seem even more magical! Thank you for taking us with you on your journey. Take care and be safe out there....
So amazing and loving Morten, just by watching it, I feel like i´m out there with you, just enjoying nature and relaxing the quiet and well, doing some photos. Love this content so much, THANK YOU.
Thank you so much everyone for all these encouraging and beautiful comments. I am reading every single one of them and it makes me so happy. I really really really appreciate 🙏🙏

It's like watching a mini movie, I never skipped a second, everything was just beautiful and peaceful.
A little masterpiece build on the "less is more". Less bs, more content. "I'm just a jealous guy" in a good way. Thanks Morten!

Fantastic Video Morten. It’s always so relaxing to listen to your words and watch and listen to your videos. A great way to start the day, fresh coffee and a Morten Hilmer Video.
That is so nice to hear Brian. Thank you🙏
Always good to see his new vid. Regards from 🇧🇹 Bhutan
