And in this video you see the most horrible and murderous creature in the land, and besides it, a friendly water serpent that was just minding its own business.
Creature Plays Games this serpent snake colossus is one of my favorite... I already both ps4 pro last week for this game... Im ready for the remake version...
The only thing scary about Dirge (imo) was when I first looked behind me and saw those creepy eyes following me, but that was only the first time I fought him. Hydrus still creeps me out, even after getting Platinum on SotC HD. When I first reached that boss, it took me more than half an hour (not kidding) until I finally forced myself to fight it. The weird thing is that Hydrus himself is actually not all that scary looking. It's that damn lake that bothers me. I have almost like a phobia of deep, dark waters in videogames. My hands get sweaty and my heart's starting to race and I'm starting to feel really weird (it's hard to describe). And all that just because of Pinnacle Rock in Majora's fucking Mask. Let me tell you, those Deep Pythons scared the living shit out of twelve year old Desty.
Tbh, people say that this fight is scary and I can see why, like, it brings you down in the deep lake with it- but I also feel bad how it was peaceful until you attacked it, it still can't really do anything but try to cower underneath the water and rely on its electric horns. The death theme that plays at the end of every colossi fight also pitiful.
I fucking HATED this one. I have a fear of deep, dark water and this thing took me a long time to defeat because I could barely bring myself to look at the damn screen, lol. I also hate images of sunken objects (especially large objects) so those fucking buildings just popping up out of the deep all willy nilly didn't help either! I was glad when this one finally kicked the bucket.
Mintyfreshbacon I know!! And besides this battle, there are 4 other places in the game that force you to swim through murky water to progress! Awesome, epic game, but I probably won't play it again because of the nightmare-inducing aquatic segments.
I can relate, I couldn’t even get through it, borrowed the game and had to give it back but basically gave up at this level anyway, I will try again with the PS4 version. But damn not looking forward to this level.
The first time I saw this boss I just turned off the game. I was like "Nope. TOO BIG. Can't deal with this right now." It took me a day or two to work up the courage to actually fight it lol
this boss terrified me due to my fear of large bodies of water and large creatures in said water. Every time he swam up and tried to attack I'd have a mild panic attack while screaming OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT
Something about the PS2 graphics and overall mood/tone of the lake is so frightening. It’s weird how the PS2 pulled it off cause I didn’t have the same feeling from the remake. Really feels like you didn’t know what was lurking beneath
Just have a chance to play this game. This is the most realistic boss fight ever. When the boss dive under the water with me on its back, It feels like I'm really there.
I just fought this on the remake and wanted to see the original fight. These graphics were so good back in those days. Such a hair raising fight. I just can’t help thinking how awesome this was for back then.
Late AF to the party, but... Why is the colossus staying so close to the surface while you ride it? (I know why mechanics wise. But I'm talking lore wise) It's almost like it doesn't want to drown you.
Canadian-Rain I think that's the point, it DOESN'T want to drown you, it just wants you to leave it alone. Majority of the colossi are actually pretty peaceful, they only get aggressive when they realize their lives are on the line
Watching this hoping to get over my fear of facing this monster for the PS4 version. Couldn’t get passed it on the PS3 (borrowed game). Yeah that’s creepy, at least when you finally get on the back you don’t think about it as much, but yeah still when trying to get on the back seeing that thing come up at you under water ... hell no.
the story of the game has you killing these colossi so that the idols that they represent break. once all of these idols are broken, you revive a dead girl named Mono
Lancelot Owens although our protagonist doesn’t know this, by killing every colossi, he’s freed the land from a curse, it was uninhabitable due to the colossi being the curse. now animals and people can live in this land again
One of the examples where the greatest enemy is you - if it wasn't for thalassophobia, this would be one of the easiest bosses in the game. Like, what do they do? Chills in their lake minding their own business, and uses a self-defense mechanic. And that's it. They never wants to actively drown you or drag you into the depths - they only try to escape. They can't help that there is a murderhobo actively trying to crawl up on them and stab them repeatedly. Are they swimming towards you? Yeah. And they're being all big and creepy? Yeah. And....that's it. No big mouth. And they even fail to catch you with one of the lightning spikes. This dude really just wants to be left alone.
I killed this one ok but the 10th one might be diffucult I'm doing it now I tell you it's hard you to shoot at the eyes while it's in the sand going at you I tell you it's just the same thing and same way of stabbing the creatures in the blue spot for all of them
And in this video you see the most horrible and murderous creature in the land, and besides it, a friendly water serpent that was just minding its own business.
pretty much
Anonymous Veiwer SotC in a nutshell
Just a majestic sea flap minding it's own damn business
So true, it was just mad at the time and it couldn’t control its anger🥺😢 Sad that people don’t care😕
Actually under the cover all japanese games are about killing whales.
This thing is fucking terrifying, man. I wonder how deep the lake is...
I'm pretty sure it is bottomless, since Wander would have to go up for air before he reaches the bottom
ikr i was so hesitant doinb this. i hate insanely deep water/abyss.

Dirge: Am i a Joke to you
Cuz the thought of dirge is Horrifying
@@MistaCoconutTheClassic For me it's the water snake and the sand snake that are horrifying. Everything else I'm mostly okay with
Dear god this boss was scary.
Why did i read "Dear boss, this god was scary"
This boss was fucking spooky, by far the most scariest boss battle in this game.
I was so fuckin scared to jump to the water. It took me like a week.
Yeah, people say dirge was more scary than Hydrus, but the fect you gotta drown yourself in that "lake" to kill this colossi is way more scary
Matheus Henrique That lake is really dark. You can't see shit.
Nico 1995 Yeah and I bet it's bottomless, making the fight even more epic

truth is, it attacked you first, or at least had the intent since its eyes were orange.

Dude I just played this boss last night for the first time on PS4, and I have the exact same fears as you, it was horrible.
The first time I saw this boss I just turned off the game. I was like
"Nope. TOO BIG. Can't deal with this right now." It took me a day or two
to work up the courage to actually fight it lol
Trust you're not alone 😅😅
I wonder how long it took you to pass the other 6th colossus xD
Lol that was me after the first 3 colossi.
Hydrus in the remake is just a badass, hes bioluminecent and the lake finally has plantlife!
this boss really tickle my phobia....
My personal favourite Colossus.
That thing got spikes and it has a tail of a whale
I like hydrus and Phaedra, but I like Phaedra best.
A ruin hidden in the lake...
A ripple of thunder lurks underwater...
this boss terrified me due to my fear of large bodies of water and large creatures in said water. Every time he swam up and tried to attack I'd have a mild panic attack while screaming OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT
slappytheclown4 me too
Oh I'm sorry did Mario 64 scare you?
This will be much nicer I promise.
CapnMatt LIES
yeeeeah
CapnMatt Ecco the dolphin vibes.
The stuff that went into you after monster fights was terrifying
Sad how it struggles to swim
Sort of like how Phalanx struggled to stay in the air. :(
Everyone’s saying this boss is terrifying but just look at that face! It’s just a cute little fishy!

Maybe it can't breathe underwater, just holds its breath very long like aquatic mammals such as whales and dolphins. Just a guess
Canadian-Rain I think that's the point, it DOESN'T want to drown you, it just wants you to leave it alone. Majority of the colossi are actually pretty peaceful, they only get aggressive when they realize their lives are on the line
@Frade You can't drown
cocolover123 no, but you can let go

So why are we killing this thing again?
the story of the game has you killing these colossi so that the idols that they represent break. once all of these idols are broken, you revive a dead girl named Mono
Sushi or sell it to Toriko.
Ameer Mahmood
the horrible things that someone will do for love.
Lancelot Owens XD
Lancelot Owens although our protagonist doesn’t know this, by killing every colossi, he’s freed the land from a curse, it was uninhabitable due to the colossi being the curse. now animals and people can live in this land again
This is my favourite Colossus; Yet, I have several phobias related to the ocean

Imagine how much scarier this boss would be if it had a mouth to attack with.
This and Del Lago from resident evil, I think these were the thalassophobes worst enemy.
God, just the thought of something that huge in the water under me gave me freezy chills
Very marvelous and magnificent hydrus
7:19 the sounds he makes underwater are what makes this one of the saddest colossi deaths
Hydrus is a electric fish
Paula O'Brien nu, it's a banana
more like an eel
+Kosaku Kawajin cucumber
TheAntlionGuard curse me for not seing it
He is a eel
I hate long Big creatures in water I don't know how I made it through this colossi. I was so scared of that thing to even get close to it 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Yeah im playing the remake. Lol
I love it so far.
this guy theme : In Awe of the Power and Silence
Now this boss is a shark lighting whale
AWW YEAH MY FAVROITE COLLOSUS
This was the hardest boss fight
I hate to swim while there is creature beneath the water
I thought this serpent will try to eat you, but it won't. It's harmless
Is that why people are scared? Because I wasn't scared at all when I fought it.
@@pri7104Bro, it’s a nearly 100-meter colossus in the water. Who wouldn’t be afraid?
@@pri7104 its a creature thats kinda the China's great wall in a bottomless lake
i don't know why the persons are scared of this boss, anyone can explain to me ?
Cuz the underwater phobia and stuff idk
Becuz Thalassophobia they have
hydrus stop with the water already
It's a sea dragon you idiot
+xXInfernoXx 1254 No , its an eletric eel, you idiot
I really think Th Pelagia’s underrated
Also it looks like it was floating
Has anyone noticed that Hydrus looks REALLY similar to Farosh in Breath of the wild? Is there a Japanese myth creature that they are based on?
You mean Farosh looks like Hydrus.
@@MarkOrellana Same thing??
