Great episode! It's refreshing to hear from someone with a law degree and knowledge on a subject matter instead of these IG and Google scholars!
Ok, I'm a married black man to my queen going on 9 years. I listen to these podcasts to kill time at work. Now since I can finally read the comments, I'm just perplexed about how our community point of view in a marriage has changed. In my hypothesis, our community doesn't have any unity. We used to get each other backs. Now, idk what's going on because I don't have social media(i guess RUclips), but damn. 😅. I do miss hearing the funny random ladies. I think we should get part 2, 3, etc, on the old topics with different guests. I would love to hear out more opinions that's out there.
U have it right. Lack of unity has increased but not just for blacks. 😮. Social media is making most people anti-social.😮
It's not just our community it's a generational thing to where they have made everything about a family just bad.
The bw never had our backs most sold out the bm for walfare, foodstamps, and section 8
Really appreciated seeing someone online whose rhetoric is not divisive. He was very informative.
He's a lawyer who gets paid off divorce, of course he's not going to be divisive. He's playing both sides ism
Just for clarification, Stephan Jackson didnt give her the prenup the day before. She held off on signing it and he waited until the day before to tell her if she dont sign it now its over. She had plenty of time to sign it though(according to him).
You still wrong he gave it to her months before
@rashunwashington6284 that's what the man said.
He said she stalled until day before wedding, so he said he'd back out.
He should have threatened to call off the wedding a month beforehand.
I enjoyed this episode. So much valuable information was shared. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
The special guest was really preaching! He kept it informative professional relatable 👌🏿 it's also so beautiful to hear how he speaks about his wife! So much love, respect and admiration
Right!!! So refreshing.
Someone send this to the lead attorney
The state absolutely benefits from you being in their system on child support.. they accrue interest and charge you for processing your child support.. the more you owe the more interest they receive
Man I have watched several video's with divorce attorney's on them. This has to be the most interesting one I have ever seen. He is telling truths but not whole truths basically not going hard one way or the other lol. He is staying real neutral between men and women. Good information though...
If you're going to buy a car
Do you go to a Mechanic? Who's going to tell you all the things that are wrong.
Do you go to a car Salesman? Who's going to tell you everything that's good.
Do you go to the Manufacturer? Who's going to tell you how and why it was made.
That’s a manufacturer thing everyday of the week
We need more episodes like this
This episode was everything! Really refreshing and insightful.
In SC if you miss that court hearing and its the first just to let you know the letter they send you says you will be defaulted to be the father of the child and they will set child support payments in your absence.
This definitely was a informative session.
Great episode.
And In Most Situations when Those People Around You Disappoint You The Circumstance Changes (correct) ?
Kudos on a fantastic episode! Appreciate Mark's insights into prenups, postnups, and divorce. Crucial points were covered, dispelling myths. The powerful representation underscores that achieving favorable outcomes in court doesn't hinge on having a Jewish or white lawyer - minorities can excel just as effectively, if not better!
Fellas if you're serious about marriage be serious about protecting your assets. Well executed prenup and living trusts. Don't get shamed and guilted into the "love conquers all" fairytale. Prenups may not be romantic but divorce and custody courts aren't.

I appreciate y’all for this video lot of knowledge!
Sugarcoated words. Let’s do this interview again with another attorney🙏🏽
Lmao bro definitely was a lawyer this episode

He's never been to a Texas child support court. I had my son the first 8 yrs of life she got him through the courts bc I didn't file on her and was able to get child support+ back support. I got him back at 14 and Texas refused to take me off any support, instead of dropping my 500 monthly and 200 back, only reducing my monthly to 250 but I was given partenal custody but they literally treated as joint, she was paying 200 in support until 18. He's now 20 and I'm still paying arrears, so can't text me that system ain't out to destroy men
Whoever files 1st will most likely have the outcome in their favor 😮
@@biggmixxo not in Texas. I've sat in those courts and seen them give drug addict mothers rehab just to force child support on the father because it's about who offers the state a chance to make money. Honestly if people would read the child support laws and statues it literally says judgement is to benefit the state not the child
Great interview
Great episode! But same sex marriages in the U.S. have been legalized since 2015, and if the divorce rates are that high within that short time frame, then that’s even worse, because their marriages aren’t even lasting that long, especially if they recently just been legalized 🤔
Danced around a lot of simple questions
Nowadays in my opinion men shouldn’t get married until laws get changed that actually hold women accountable for false pregnancies 🧬 DNA test & putting men on child support even if they didn’t sign the birth certificate….Personally the economy has to get better especially with careers & jobs cause college is looking like a joke for black men on very small percentage of men are getting great careers however if college want to get better they should give better classses as far a trades skills in high school especially for black men
Do not marry for love. It is a financial contract.
Exactly! It's a business
The refuses visitation, whats the steps to file a court order?
Tx has a new law to file against the CP $500 each time for refuses the AP visitation.

Lil man is so OBSESSED with this topic 😅but I don’t know why…he shouldn’t marry anyone! 😂
who is lil man?
nah that brotha is just married. in real life most men that are married tells us not to get married. he’s giving politically correct answers because he’ll probably have to hear it from his wife. y’all are just gullible to what you want things to be lmao
@allabouttheu2182 what does his professional experience have to do with his marital status? Brainwashed to think that these podcast entrepreneurs' words are more valid than that of someone who litigate these issues on a daily basis? 🤔 you the type to ask your mailman for medical advice huh lol what a joke 🤣 😂 😆
Thanks for this. Was your best show yet. Unfortunately it has put me off marriage. NOOO THANK YOU LOL

Marriage is not a bad thing but we can't keep doing it the way we're doing it today. The number of people getting married and the number of people getting divorced shows it's not working. Divorce number are high and marriage numbers are low .....aka it's not working anymore.
Idk if this question makes any sense but here goes, If alimony can stop if a the person receiving it gets in a financially supportive relationship, can the person receiving it get more $ if the person paying gets married and their net worth increases due to the marriage? Same question for child support?
If you get married, get a prenup and don't cheat.
Bro tripping. I'm not getting married lol. He said he does se biased in the court system but the standard is best interest of the child. That doesn't make sense if it's biased. Towards the mother it's can't be best interest of the child
Exactly there’s no way the 2 can be true. The Lead attorney is the best. He also said social media increased infidelity when in fact all it did was shine a light on what was already happening.
no the point that he is making is now you have more QUICK access to reach out to ppl than ever before which increases the rate of ppl cheating
@@flatbush9117 I would argue sexual liberation and feminism increased cheating. When women valued their bodies they didn’t give it away like free candy. When they didn’t give it away like free candy men and women couldn’t cheat as much because there were significantly fewer people to cheat with.
that’s bullshit, there was always prostitutes and women who gave it up easily. You would actually have to get up out of the house and go searching, now you can easily hit strangers up on the dm and plan things
So the moral of the story is don’t get married through the state got it!
Will that really change how the Legal System actually works though if a Woman can still weaponize that very State? 🤔🤔
Not sure that is it.🤔 If you do happen to get married, don't cheat and get a prenup.

Very informative but I think it was a little too politically correct from the lawyer(rightfully so he has a job outside of content) but it does a disservice to the questions when every answer “it’s both”. Great show
You know these podcasts discuss how marriage ends and how it should start, but they never discuss how it should be within the marriage. It is always a childish blame game of boys are good and girls are bad. A life lesson from a 40 year old Afrikan like myself, the worst way to socialize is by assuming the worst or seeing the negative in others, you'll never learn anything nor will you keep any relationship. Children learn and socialize by the negative, physical touch and gestures, they assume danger first, it is a defense mechanism that even insecure men use, adults are supposed to learn and socialize by anticipating the positive of people or the environment.
Check out the marriage episode. With successful black married couples. I for got the ep number tho
@@timeflyflytimeENT that's one out of how many episodes?? They just love to bash women and insinuate black love is non-existent yet black women are the most loyal. Read their viewers comment section is all you need to know.
@@rebelc7258 if you’ve watched there episodes completely they always talk about men and women should be interdependent for each other and make compromises throughout the relationship. Yeah so one these answers are soft balling what you see in real life.
Exactly sugar coating cause he still getting a Check from these Broken Laws🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️😡
He’s a lawyer. What do you expect? He represent both sides in divorces so why would he take a hardline stance and mess up his money by coming across as biased? Imagine if he cuts off female clientele because they feel he’s too pro male or cuts off male clientele because he’s too pro female. Gotta be smart about these things bro. Things on the internet are forever. Suppose a former client tries to bring suit against him using this video claiming he was bias and that’s why he didn’t represent them well enough. Think about the overall situation and think smart.
He just gave us 1000 reason why not to get married as a man 💀😂😂 thanks sir
For real fuck prenup 😂
Follow the money....most aren't going to go against the system that pays them.
Men believe they are the best thing that has ever happened to that woman and don't want to believe that a woman would want someone else so they're not going to Check to see if their woman is cheating.
Women know other women want their man so they're always going to check to see when their man is cheating.
It breaks my heart when a black man says ( weather your man, woman or whatever you identify as) smfh.
They don't see black women as actual women that's why they say that. To black American men only white women are actually women
Conditioned mindset
Why? If it doesn’t Apply let it fly 🦅
Marriage is for rich people because once they get a divorce and the man walks away unscathed
This advice from a lawyer is AMAZING!!!! It seems he is giving men advice as if everything will work in their favor when it usually does not. Lawyers tell queans to lie, to make false abuse claims, to make false claims of inappropriate touching and S.A. on children. Does anyone think he is giving good consul to men?????
Not at all
34:01 mins into this discussion and the attorneys answers seem blue-pill leaning, semi-oblivious and female protecting (not that he needs to be downgrading them, but is definitely watching what he says when speaking about women)
Hopefully his answers become more impartial throughout the rest of this conversation
Just finished the whole episode.
1) The attorney remained with the same fence-riding, blue pill-leaning, female protecting answers
2) Once again, the Victim and R4cial card was used by the guest and supported by the hosts. Please understand thalis only perpetuates the stereotype a d shows your lack of accountability
3)To the hosts; You had the opportunity of asking more direct and specific questions to counter the guest’s vague answers but yall chose not to

He did a great m job of not stating how bad of an idea it is to get married. If 50 percent of marriages end in divorce. Of the 50 percent that are not divorced 50 percent are unhappy. In all actuality that means you have s 25 percent success rate. Translation it will more than likely fail. Period

Please dont bring this dube back...listening to lawyers speak in circles is like nails on a chalk board. Dude didn't answer 1 question simply direct. The viral white lawyer was eye opening on his view on marriage.
50/50 isnt in the best interest of the child, its in the best interest of the state to collect. This and many other lawyers who are on podcasts are usually skillfully advertising for themselves. "Get a lawyer, get a lawyer." Aren't these magistrates and judges able to make decisions in the absence of lawyers. They are all on the same team. They tell you, oh i know how this judge operates, or this judge hates the way this lawyer purports themselves and holds them in contempt. Its is in no way, in the best interests of the child.
How is 50/50 custody not in the best interests of the child, absent issues like abuse or drugs, etc.?
How is giving each parent 50% of time with the child not in the child’s best interest? 🤔🤨🧐 Some of y’all had no parents and it shows.
@MarkWBobbEsq because realistically, you can not split the child rearing in half. They will not make a hard stance on both positions being equally important. If they did, then they would just be litigating in circles. The best interest of the child is 100/100. When they do a 50/50 split custody, neither parent would be obligated to pay the other. Just take care of the child when in your possession. That is equitable, but no, in order for the state to get paid, someone has to owe someone and there needs to be a middle man who handles the distribution. It's a racket!
@@user-jf9ru2mo4f Bliss
Yes, you can. You split holidays, holiday breaks and regular weeks. When you provide 50/50 custody, it generally eliminates the need to litigate in circles. It is in the best interest of the child to split the time with each parent (unless there are issues like violence, etc). @@stephenc.9164
39:25 I’m so glad the lawyer broke it down and defended women bc the guys just wanted the lawyer to take the “ men” side on everything but that’s just simply not true … it’s a lose lose for both parties & Some men don’t even realize how valuable a stay at home wife is

The problem with a these Lawyers opinions is that telling the truth damages their profession, even if their retired. If you sit in a Family court proceeding you will see the boas in favor of women.
Can we teach Eli to say “with” instead of wiff
love the interview but you can tell he was giving politically correct answers. probably be scolded by his wife if he kept it real
This dude is disingenuous. Talking about both parties are hurt when they were asking him in general who is more often hurt. Saying if they are in a financially supportive relationship. That would be so hard to prove. It's basically only if they get married will that cancel alimony.
So no marriage 😂😂😂😂 basically
it would of been nice if they got a divorce attorney who’s been married for more than 10years he sound wet behind the ears
I don't think this dude was genuine. You can tell he mainly or only represent women. It's literally stats you can go look up to go against a lot of what he said. You would think men get custody and alimony 50% of the time, and we know that's not true!
I'd love to see these stats you speak of. The standard is the best interests of the child - which is having both parents equally involved. There is statute that it is based on.
