Could you put a 40hp long tail on a 1548
@Pw.asap99 I couldn't say for sure. But I'd think it would be a bit tail heavy. Would probably be better on a 16 plus
@@Pw.asap99 I’ve considered upgrading to a 35hp on mine since I put the pods on the back of my boat. I believe the motor is an extra 60lbs or so

Good video man...best thing that sold me was that cavitation plate holding it down. Trying to get this kit to canada and put a honda gx690 on it.
Good review! Thinking of getting one for my '04 1648 grizzly (400 lbs) short transom. Can you swivel it into the boat for trailering?
@@raulagarcia4744 yes on my boat you can but it literally has like a 1/4 inch of clearance. It barely can swivel around.

I’m pretty sure dry weight of my boat is around 5-600 pounds. And I believe I have a 15” transom.
What Size Boat do you have it on? Whats your shaft length?
