An amazing utility jacket, can be worn as a standalone piece, under your hudson bibs , delta waders also a great layering piece under a delta wading jacket. Those who say its not an outer shell dont understand the layering system
Between those 2 it depends on where you hunt. I started out with just the Hudson and it is absolutely AMAZING with blocking the wind, rain, snow and the chill that comes from those . But in those mornings when it’s in the teens to mid 20’s even with layering, the Hudson didn’t quite keep me warm enough. So I bought the Duck Oven and I’m in Love with both now and couldn’t live without either one. The Duck oven comes in clutch when it’s 30 and below, and the Hudson is great at really any temp. But don’t look at the Hudson as a keep you warm jacket but rather a stop the wind, rain, and elements.

I use mine as an outer shell and have only had 1 rip from a stich failure and I had it on walking through a thorn bush jungle and it was fine.
Great review, I can't choose between Hudson and duck oven

A go to piece in my line up. Definitely a must have for our area
