  • I’m going to show you how to change the carbon and ion exchange filter for the Life Straw water pitcher.
Go here if you want to see the membrane micro-filter and learn how to replace it
    • Lifestraw Membrane Fil...
I’m also going to do a quick review of the Life Straw water pitcher and Life Straw as a company
And I'm going to talk about the importance of water for health and life
When I first start working with a client one of the first pieces of health or nutrition recommendations I give them is to simply make sure you’re drinking plenty of water.
it is one of the simplest yet most effective things someone can do to improve their health, performance and energy level.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of containments in our drinking water and bottled water often has micro plastics known as BPAs in it
The Carbon Ion exchange filter reduces
heavy metals like lead and mercury, chlorine and bad odors for improved taste, and it reduces a number of chemicals like pesticides and herbicides just to name a few.
It also has a membrane micro filter
This membrane micro-filter removes over 99% of bacteria, parasites and micro-plastics

Okay so I own the lifestraw but it’s so frustrating that the water takes so long to filter I really don’t want to wait 30mins to fill it all the way up… I just bought a zero water filter today but not loving the taste of it 😢

I hear you. I've tried a lot of filters this is def my fav. My BWT filter was super slow. I think even slower than this and the filter wasn't even as good. As soon as I pour some, i'm almost always immediately filling it back up with what I used, so i never feel like I'm waiting for it I also make sure my teapot has some to save time in the morning routine.

Has anyone who lives in Vegas tried this product? The tap water here is trash. Would love to know if this filter works for Vegas water.

Have you tried clearly filtered? I've been tied between lifeatraw and clearly filtered for which one to go for

I have not, but I just did some quick research and looked at their website and filters. So Clearly Filtered def looks better than a lot of filters, but their exact filter type is a bit vague - they're not very specific about it.. Also they only compare themselves to Pur and "other filters" (super vague) And they don't compare themselves to Lifestraw . Moreover, the filter is much larger than Lifestraw's - so less plastic waste with Lifestraw, which is a big thing for me personally,. Also I just like the design and feel of Lifestraw Clearly Filtered looks like most other filters, which is less important than the plastic and filtration, but still kind of important. The filling and pouring makes a big difference to me. I'd stick with Lifestraw over Clearly Filtered but Clearly Filtered over many other filters. Thanks for your comment. Hope this helps.

I just brought mine and I’m in the cleaning process and it is taken two hours just for that water to filter out. It filters out in drops of water and not a steady stream. Did I do something wrong?

      @andrewsfitnesschannel5355  Год назад

I don't know if you did anything wrong, but yeah maybe bc it definitely should not take 2 hours or even one hour, or even a half hour. If you check my video you can see how it normally filters. If your water is super dirty - maybe it will take a bit longer, but still not 2 hours long. Mine takes about 10 mins max. When the filter is first used it's a bit slower, but def not 2 hours slow. 10 mins max.- for one fill. If you want to fill the thing to capacity it may take 20 mins max for 2 -3 fills. Sorry to hear that though, II know it can be frustrating when things don't work the way they're supposed to. If I saw it was slow like that I'd prly dump it and check everything out and try it again. Some filters also recommend running the filter under water before installing. I wish i could be more helpful i hope you can figure it out. And thanks for sharing your comment

The zero water filter is better

    • @andrewsfitnesschannel5355

On zero water's website they claim they remove the most but only compare themselves to Brita and Pur. They don't compare themselves to Lifestraw and looking at the filter types Lifestraw has a membrane filter and I don't see one for zero water. Plus the ion exchange filter is much smaller for Lifestraw. Like 1/3 the size / plastic waste. I've tried many filters this is by far my fav but any drinking (even tap) water or water filter is better than not drinking enough water or not being well hydrated.

Zero water is only better if you like microplastics and pesticides in your water
