Maybe one of these days, you can also dwell on survival or living skills especially when facing hardships, living in minimalist basic necessities. 😀

100% - i'm looking to get into more camping and living off the grid. Need to learn what it really takes to survive in nature.

@@JackAlderton Wonderful. It's good to be one with nature, green jungle. Surviving in concrete jungle is another story. Do you know that in the middle of KL is a reserved forest dated million years ago, it's called the eco canopy walk, lots of greeneries in KL ie Taman Tugu, Botanical garden, Lake Titiwangsa garden, and my fav, KLCC park, what's your favorite green area in KL? 😀

Wonderful video. Thank you. Domestic house skills are very important to all. It develos a sense of attitude to do things that you should do for yourself and your family.

Ever since I was a little kid, I and my siblings already had a sense to do errands for our parents around the house. I, however, did lots of extra, coz I love doing it. For instance, not only I make my own bed, I do it for my siblings and also my parents. I do all kinds of errands around the house, cleaning in and outside the house, do grocery shopping when my late mother forgot something, trimmed the house bamboo fence, on every Eid change the curtain and polish my late mom's brass ware, and of course, helping her in the kitchen, cleaning the dishes are my norm. Well, those days are gone now, but the good memories live on.

In my childhood I thought I was unlucky because my parents made me to cook, clean the house (not only my room) and iron my clothes. Now I see, that I was the lucky guy.

Legend! Often we don't appreciate experiences & lessons at the time, only later when we see the benefits. Let's do our best to pass this on to our peers and the next generations.

Damn, I thought these are pretty common.
My mom used to make me iron, cook and clean home when I was in primary school. So it has become 2nd nature for me.
Thinking of that, it wouldn't come to surprise since parents are very protective towards kids nowadays. So yeah, great lessons here.

Thanks mate. Unfortunately not common at all where I'm from!
Yes, I was largely raised by a single mother and there was a level of 'coddling' I had to fight my way out of to become the man I am today.
It's only now that I really appreciate what my parents went through, and how I could have been a better son.
Lessons to teach my future children for sure.

Also regarding the food and cooking: once I went into the gym and started counting calories, I realized the importance of being able to cook your own food. 99% of us won't be able to afford a personal chief, and it's pretty expensive to order healthy and nutritious meals. So cooking literally made my life then.
