As someone who tries to collect every reverse holo card, the double reverse cards in a pack is such a nice touch. I also LOVE the pattern on the reverse cards as well.
Came here to say this. I am a dirty, dirty completionist, so this helps out a lot.
I said it before and I’ll say it again, English quality control is disappointing in comparison to Japanese

I really like the new silver border in the cards I think they make them tell you that the Pokémon company was taking a big step into a new Direction with the anime with two new protagonists and the games being open world and the new Pokémon company I’m kinda interested to see what they do next
Scarlet and Violet base set is definitely one of the best base sets we've had for a whole

Gen 2 was the first game I played in the series and Crystal brought me into the whole series. Now looking in Gen 9 the games and cards changed so much!

Dang, scarlet and violet base was a year ago!
I wasn't allowed Pokemon when I was growing up, but now that I have kids of my own that are into them I decided to start my own collection last week. Love your enthusiasm and can't wait to open some packs of my own!
I know some people aren’t super happy with some of the changes made in this generation of cards, but I’m really excited! I think the amount of changes is shocking but once we’re used to them the cards will look better than ever!
Sucks how dull the regular ex look but at least all the other are looking super nice besides some of the ones you had with quality issues. Still hyped for the set just hoping I get my chase card when I get to open it. Thank you for this amazing early look video!
These packs are so well-balanced now, it’s amazing.
I love the artworks in this set and the new direction Pokemon is going!! Changes happen and we have to adapt, but I’m always thrilled with what Pokémon is doing and how it evolves into the future!!

he's not the only one to notice the horrible quality on some cards and dull colors on the English version.....and Pokemon has the balls to increase msrp across the board with this new era. What a joke.
It’s weird we all wanted the Silver borders on the english set, but in a way i already miss them.. the nostalgic feeling is a bit gone I think.. but, it is nice in it’s own way! 💙

I'm so hyped for scarlet violet! The pulls were insane. Its always so nice to be able to get a preview of soon to be released pokemon products.

I don't know how I feel about all the new changes, some I really like and some I think I'll just have to get used to, but definitely excited! 🤩
No rainbows is upsetting to me. I think they’ve gone a little over the top with the trainer gallery-type/illustration rare cards, with the increase in popularity of “alternate” arts.
Thanks for opening all these new packs for us! I certainly wouldn’t be able to afford to do that many for myself.

I love the new changes to the cards, especially the rarity changes. Starting to look more and more like Japanese cards in quality♥️
Its a great looking set! I know I will miss the yellow borders, but I'm also excited to see where they take these next couple of generations of cards.
After release weekend, I had about 75% of the set complete. I opened one box, two ETBs, a couple of the 3 packs and a couple of the single pack blisters for context. The cards I’m missing aren’t hyper expensive compared to previous sets so it’s a very completable set.
It’s amazing how far Pokémon has come from day 1. Keep up the great work PokeRev!

I definitely like the way they changed up the pull rates lol it gets tiring buying packs and getting absolutely nothing kinda reminds me of the OG ex era stuff like even if you didn’t get the big pull you got some good looking cards and were mostly happy

I believe the Pokémon Company made a good choice to make rarer cards easier to find in the new Scarlett and Violet expansion to compensate for the inflation.

I pulled a Spirados ex double gold star and a Pawmot holo in the same pack, and I only bought one.
The second reverse holo was replaced by a regular holo.
So i think every code card is black because its a guaranteed holo
I have the Magikarp and I have the villain butterfly Pokemon
the silver borders are really growing on me and i’m so excited to see what this new era has in store for us!
I've been waiting extremely bad for this set to come out, and now just to see pokerev open it, I can't wait any longer.

I think this new generation is amazing! Yes, I do think the quality of those ex’s could be better, but I do like the style of them! I think holos being guaranteed is very good because I also bought the mimikyu ex box and I was quite sad that I didn’t even get a holo lol. The holo design is extremely nice!

I honestly dislike a lot of the changes done with this era change. Love pokemon to death, but moving away from full arts being ornately textured was not a great decision.

Maybe it's just me, but I kind of like the silver boarders over the yellow. Plus, the new rarity symbols I think are a nice change.

❗️Does every card in the set have the variation of holo & reverse holo? ❗️
For example, does the card "GROWLITHE" have a basic card, a reverse holo card and a normal holo card variation?
Totally wasn't super excited about the new pokemon. But I'm very happy to see the hits are tremendously better than sword and shield base!
Yeah, the regular ex cards do look a bit too dull unfortunately. Will need to get used to the pull rates and new rarity system, so I am comparing your pulls with mine, but you are more lucky as usual, haha.
