I have 4 x Auva EQ's under my valve pre & power amplifiers with essentially the same stunning results as you. Recently I added 3 X Auva EQ's under my DAC & it's LPSU plus my DVD player & Virgin cable TV box just like you can not unhear the improvements in sound. Incredibly, through should really be expected, I can not unsee the improvements in the TV picture from Auva EQ's under the DVD player & Virgin box, giving greater definition giving an ability to read writing on products or scenery in the background of adverts & programs or DVD's.

Mine arrived several days ago, and put them under amp and wow! Then also under my tube dac and double wow. The music is so much clearer and bass more defined. The musicians seem live in the room. I feel like I’m listening to favourite tracks for the first time. Easily the biggest tweak for the least money spent I have made to my system.

I’ve listened to this video twice now. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about the AUVA EQ CSA units. I’ve used these items under my CD transport, MPD-6 DAC, and JR555 amplifier. Your report of the positive effect on power supplies was unexpected for me. How many CSA1’s did you place under power supplies? Do you use any power conditioners, and are they fitted with any CSA items?

For lifting heavy or bulky components you might want to try inexpensive airbags. When deflated they slip under the piece easily. If you use 2 to 4 you can lift the piece by several centimeters and keep it stable. I needed them to help change the footers on my 110 kg speaker sby myself whilst avoiding tipping them over. I am currently using the A/V Room Service EVP footers for speakers and TT. The Stacks certainly look better. Might get some for my amps.

Shane.. I went a different route and got Iso Acoustics isolators for some of my system. First off I got the isolators for my speakers then much later I got the spikes. I was amazed at how much the sound improved. Then I got the subwoofer platform.I also have iso acoustics under one turntable.Under the second turntable and my Gold Note preamp I have Les Davis isolators. That combo made a difference too.Next probably will be isolators under my Krell KPE preamp and power supply. If you like good Bass have a listen to The Holly Cole Collection.

Hi Eddie, Yes, I think by virtue of what you're saying, and it's something that I very much believe in, isolation under components really does help bring out their best performance.
It's great to hear about your system and your journey with isolation. I guess we're singing from the same hymn book here.
Holly Cole is a well recorded artist. Generally, all of her stuff is excellently captured.👍🎧👌

Hi Shane awesome videos I have begun to purchase the stack Eq for under my source components. I know I’m preaching to the choir. Just WOW!🎶 Josh recommended your videos:) I now want to add some to my preamp and pwr amp. I currently have stacked a phono preamp on top of my preamp. I don’t have the space to add footers to my phono preamp . I of course will take into consideration the weight of the phono preamp and preamp together RE: the proper weight footer. I was wondering do you know if by stacking another component on top of the one another with the Auva’s on the bottom component may cause a negative effect? Thank you in advance!

Hi there, Bert. I would not recommend putting a phono preamp on top of your preamp. They are both quite sensitive components, and their harmonic residences are likely to interfere with each other.
I understand you have a space issue from what you're describing, but decoupling is all about isolation, as you know, and combining two sensitive components completely undermines that, unfortunately. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.👍🙂🎧

    Hi Shane,
I totally concur with your observations about Stack Audio. I had initially bought the EQs for my CD Transport and was amazed at the changes. I then ordered more EQs for my DAC, preamp and its power supply, and the monoblocks, followed by the AUVA speaker supports. As you said, the notice was obvious with each change, the increased clarity, separation and air around instruments, and overall the improved musicality of the system . It’s also worth mentioning that I had already had Finite Elemente’ s Ceraballs under my components, and yet the EQs have brought further improvement . I wonder whether a couple of my subwoofers would also benefit from the Stack Audio treatment. I might ask Josh.

Hi Victor, First of all, that's a great story, and I'm wrapped to hear the benefits you're getting with the Stack Audio isolation components. Yes, I think your subwoofers would definitely improve if isolated and decoupled.
Anything that resonates and vibrates as much as a speaker moving in and out does, especially a subwoofer, just about and, in most cases, improves sonically, so definitely have a chat to Josh about that.👍🙂🎧

I have an LP12 turntable with a trampolin 2. I was thinking of getting a set of 4 EQs and putting them under a plinth (which my LP12 currently sits on) rather than straight to the LP12 itself.
Anybody have some experience or thoughts on this please?

@lesterbird5813 Hi there. The best thing to do is have a chat with Josh at Stack Audio. Write him an email explaining what you want to do.
I think what you're attempting to do will be ok, putting them directly underneath a plinth that the turntable sits on. As far as I understand, putting them directly under the LP12 turntable is not advisable.
Please check and confirm with Josh.👍🎧

@@shanestephenson8423 Thank you, Shane. You are the one who drew my attention towards the Stack Audio product line with your tests. Great work you're doing!🙌👍
As mentioned, the EQs are my first Stack product. I am considering whether the next should be some Auva 70s for my subwoofer, a REL S/812. Reason being, I have a horrorbly soft (very soft!) suspended wooden flooring.
Based on your test experience, what are your thoughts on this? Should the sub come prior to the speakers? And should it be the same isolator category as the speakers or should it be a step better?

I'm sceptical when it comes to vibration isolation of components that have no moving parts. I'm not saying you didn't hear a difference I think you did. I'm just trying to get an understanding of what is really going on. A lot of isolation companies are not really clear on what is going on when it comes to components with no moving parts. When I read through what is listed it always sounds like someone from marketing clearly wrote it.

    • @shanestephenson8423
      @shanestephenson8423  3 месяца назад +5

Hi there, I've probably not been 100% clear in that video about the fact that everything you plug in to power has moving parts, by virtue of the oscillating frequencies that happen in a power supply contained in that component. What's interesting there is the frequencies are often so high that they really do a substantial job at interfering with sensitive electrical parts in that component. They are further affected when a different oscillating frequency from a different component gets transferred into the other component. You've then got two different frequencies oscillating in that one component by virtue of there being no isolation or decoupling, and if you've got 5 or 6 components on your rack, well, you get my drift.👍🎧🙂

@@shanestephenson8423 I get your drift. I would think that high-end components would have oscillators that are a lot less sensitive to vibrations or team up with the isolation companies so it's non-issue. Have you found any components that don't benefit from extra isolation?

@jaakanshorter Hi, yes, my rcm theriaa phono preamp prefers to be on its factory feet. When I put it up on Stack EQ isolation or any other isolation I've got here for that matter, it does not sound as good. But yet its separate power supply being isolated with the stack isolation did improve the performance of it.👍🎧
