The ordinary serum is the worst - it’s so gloopy and thick. I would recommend the one by Vichy which is more expensive but cheaper than the Barbara Sturm
The ingredient list for both The Ordinary serum and the Barbara Sturn serum are actually worlds of a difference. And you do get what you pay for. I’ve used the ordinary serum and my face broke out within 24 hours due to the filler ingredients inside like synthetics.
Madison Moreno the ordinary one made me breakout and I have never broke out in my life. I love the Dr. Sturm one but I agree it’s super expensive. But what works, works. And there’s no way she giving all her products out for free. I watched her Sephora thing and she talked but having trouble parting with her products. Honestly I just think she’s not that generous... plus she has the mini HA which is $110 not $300.

Haulyronic acid is literally a very cheap ingredient that does not even do much for the skin, it just makes it feel plump but does not do much. Sturm should be ashamed of herself for even selling this product, let alone that price tag!
I'm always weirded out how all these models don't know how to cleanse properly. Also applying hyaluronic acid serum on wet skin will give you so much better results than applying it on dry skin.

You are never supposed to tug at your skin like that! It makes me cringe seeing all these celebs doing skincare videos and showing everyone to tug and pull down on their skin. Yikes. You are always supposed to rub upwards! Over time all that tugging down can give you jowls. I’m 34 and always rubbed upwards and ppl are shocked when I tell them my age. I had a teen girl (who are usually pretty brutal with calling ppl old, think I was no older than 25 lol) so please always always always rub upwards on your face and neck. and for your eyes you use your ring finger and you gently rub up and in wards. Never tug outwards on your eyes too! Take your ring finger and start your creams from the outward and gently rub inward. These videos always show ppl starting inward and rubbing outside to their eyes. Noooo no no. That’s giving a wrinkle effect over time lol.

You can’t compare Dr Barbara Sturm’s HA to The Ordinary’s HA, two different formulations and price points. The Ordinary’s HA isn’t amazing at all, it’s sticky plus it just sits on the skin. A better product would be Skinceuticals HA it has better ingredients and it actually does something instead of siting on your skin.
Girl 101 i have The Ordinary HA serum and it has done WONDERS for my skin. it doesn’t “sit” on top of my skin. it absorbs quickly. it hydrates my skin and makes it very plump and smooth. don’t know why you had that experience when everyone i know loves it...
