    It’s interesting, I used to go to therapy for many years, to ‘talk’ about my hard childhood, but it didn’t heal anything. What eventually helped was doing what Jordan Peterson taught, which is analyzing the past and figuring out how to react in the future. And that’s why I study Corey’s book so much. It helps me act and react correctly as a man.

    • @SB-ur3cu

      Isn't Peterson too a therapist at the end of the day? Goes to show what difference a good therapist could bring.

    • @nealburk88

      @@SB-ur3cu yes he’s a clinical psychologist. The big difference with him is he counsels with scientifically proven methods. Too many therapists use methods that are only popular on the internet, but aren’t proven scientifically. It turned me into an overanalyzing cry baby that my ex wife at the time couldn’t stand. I killed the polarity with following the therapist’s counsel. Peterson and Corey helped flip the script for me.

    My best cure for low self esteem after a breakup was to stay single on purpose until I healed. Usually a year, at least. It’s the breakup that brought me down. Read the book, stay single, and work on being ok alone. As soon as you’re good again being alone, along comes another great woman. Never fails. All of my relationships have lasted years, because I waited for a good one to come along after i rose from the ashes.

    • @croatiancroissant28776
      @croatiancroissant28776 2 года назад +7

      JamieDrums I personally don’t date until I’ve healed. I have to be good alone before I can enjoy the company of a woman, otherwise, I feel alone even while I’m with these “dates”. I can’t describe why that is. Each person needs to decide for themselves what’s best for them though. After I’ve healed, my pickup is top notch because I enjoy it. Before that, I’m in this weird rut that doesn’t feel right, and the sex feels empty. I’m 43, that’s what’s worked for me, and I’ve tried everything.

    This is true. I was born with bad health. Just asthma, allergies and eczema. I always felt no one would like me. Some do. Some don't. I felt depressed most of the time. The few people that said that they love me, was bipolar and I was stupid. 5.5 years later, after she ruined me financially, I had enough and left her. Then I met my late wife that passed away a few years ago, suffered from paranoia. We were married for 10 years until she left me the third time when I got the call she passed away from heart failure.
    Still trying to fix my life. But I just move on. Like Coach said no one cares. Just move one and better yourself.
    Thanks for your work Coach. It does help. I still need much work on myself.

    I’ve read your book 27 times and have struggled through this in a variety of ways . I am so glad I’ve applied what you teach and continue to do the work. Without proper inner game, you can’t capitalize on your success. It’s tough but goes to show you that if you take ownership for wherever you’re at it life, you can become who you want to be. There’s nothing more toxic to personal development than a victim mindset.

    • @devod123
      @devod123 2 года назад +1

      @Nat Smythe This sounds like an issue of semantic interpretation. If "just being yourself" or "pure authenticity" was sufficient on its own, Corey's material wouldn't be necessary. In my experience, you apply the principles through practiced iterations and become a 3% man. It says so in the book. Ultimately you learn to own your value and to me, that's "inner game"- a byproduct of being who you are and integrating his principles/fundamentals.

    In my case, I fight this feeling daily. Terrible parenting growing up. Theyll go out of their way to screw me i feel. Its sort of insane. Luckily, they weren't always this bad and I had found Corey's work 10-15 yrs ago before it went south. Its pretty funny when someone over 55 yrs suggests you need counseling, but they have no idea I've been getting it daily from Corey amongst others for over a decade.. if my parents could listen and retain 5% of what you say, you would do amazing wonders for them. Some are just too stubborn to ever think their point of view is wrong or could even be wrong. It hurts to see but finding out that i can get what i need without that fake "parental encouragement" when it does comes around on rare occasions, boy it feels good. I've already defined who I am and know how to continue improving. Open mindedness is my biggest strength now, and I can't imagine a better trait to have when it comes to the world we live in today.. Thank you Corey.

      It may not be related to your comment, but I some quick advice. I’ve been doing cleaning work for about 2 years, and the same problem keeps happening, with certain people that l meet, right, people blame me and I’ve done nothing wrong,, the same criticism is like... “I’m weak, I’m useless, not gonna amount to anything, I’m a pussy, stop f**king stressing, stop wasting time doing a crappie job..” l feel it gets to my head when people say those things to me and there possibly just trying to help by giving me criticism, then l feel like I’m the problem, on the flipside.. cause I’m an average tall, looking guy that tries to take care of my appearance, people probably just assume that a handsome good looking guy such as myself shouldn't be doing cleaning work and that l can do better. and there's a pattern! Also to add to that, people may just give me criticism cause l'm shy

      @@lukehart7225 Sounds like demonic attack- (doesn't necessarily mean literal demons, if thats not something you believe in- it translates over to specific physical attributes) for example-
      repeated experience with these problems tells me the point is working: to get into your head and make you self-sabotage.
      Laugh at them- genuine, pure joyful laughter. They HATE that, and there's nothing they can do but lose their cool and make themselves look worse. If they grill you with questions, just keep it light, like "that's just funny".
      They hate to see you winning. When you shine like a star, you put your hand out, and people would rather take your hand to pull you down than to rise up with you.
      That demonic attack is equivalent to low-frequency energy, close mindedness. Ignore them if possible. Laugh at their insults if you must. But put no value on their words. Ignore them long enough, theyll go away.

    • @lukehart7225
      @lukehart7225 2 года назад

      @@ChapsShrugged I don’t really believe in demonic attacks, or demons, is that were people are giving me criticism and it gets to my head? cause people give me criticism and sometimes it makes me question myself? - people get into my head, even if there not intentionally doing it to hurt me but help you change, grow as a person by giving criticism, and l reckon what's happening l'm going through life and people blame me because there expecting too much from me? or l go through life doing cleaning work and people assume this guys going for a entrepreneurship, or I’m studying! So it could be other people projecting their ego onto me..
      But speaking about low-high frequency’s and energy. Majority think it’s out of this world, and there’s no such thing, I do take value to what people say cause I’m opened minded, and that's another thing that gets me blamed, cause most people are closedminded? You reckon? l believe self-sabotaged me, and l sabotage myself sometimes without realise then you end up getting bad mental problems

    @Coach Corey Wayne thanks for this fantastic video. i grew up in a severely dysfunctional environment in the 1980's, as a visible minority. so with bad parenting, i had peers, their parents and some teachers in writing me off like a bad tax-write off lol.
    i'm 48 now, am pretty useless in igniting and retaining a woman's interest. at the same time, most women are uninteresting. what your videos and some others (rich cooper) have helped me with, is that i retired my "good man" days and deeds with women. that alone has saved me untold amounts of high blood pressure and aggravations.
    genuine desire (with friends, family or anyone/anything in between) cannot be negotiated, and i am better off to focus on myself, paying my bills and doing the things i like.
