Love the role play aspect. I really think this helps the save. I would personally like more of this kind of content. It’s adds a depth and a difference to FM content, especially when there is drama, humour, or jeopardy.
Anyone just jumping into this episode, must be wondering what the hell you are rambling on about with the Holiday Inn and all your Winter Ski gear and work, love it Kev...keeping it real 10/10 !
I was forced to make a choice between 2 clubs as they were the same distance from me, never had that before. (Warrington & Rushall Olympic). What swayed it - the home kit colour matches the team I played for as a kid. Warrington were also 6 minuets quicker to get to when I checked on the maps app. Keep up the good work Kev, always enjoy NLTL
Just started playing Football Manager for the first time, stemming from watching your vids! I'm starting out as a USFL 2 managed for Tennessee Soccer Club and seeing long term where my journey goes
Started my Truro save today. Very similar squad size to Tamworth's, and my only goalkeeper dislocated his shoulder a week before the opening day and is out for 3-4 months. I had to bring in another one who's absolute bobbins and we're 22nd after six matches. BTW the Sports player got a straight red for a deliberate handball as he "stuck his arm out on purpose"
NLTL is half the reason I use RUclips. Keep it up my fellow Peterborian/peterborite. Also, I personally know Luke Steele and he’s definitely assistant manager
On the double jeopardy thing, a straight red will become a yellow card if a foul is committed inside the box and the foul is considered a 'football foul' a handball or pushing your opponent therefore do not activate the double jeopardy rule, basically there needs to be an attempt to lawfully play the ball.
Thanks for clarifying… anyone watch Chelsea Tottenham last night? Surely Romero shouldn’t have been sent off… he actually got the ball despite it being a shocking challenge so surely double jeopardy should have saved him as he clearly attempted to play the ball and then just caught the man after
@@MatthaeusGT fair enough. I’m not saying it wasn’t a red card tbf, although he clearly tries to play the ball you can’t let your foot follow through with studs on someone’s lower leg… just curious if by the rules that should’ve been double jeopardy
Doing a NLTL save this year, my starter club was Truro City in the NL south due to them being back on the game this year and they are the only club in Cornwall on the game. Just got them promoted in my second season with the club. Always loved the series. Keep up the good work Kev! 😀
Absolutely love these series on here inspired me to do a Chester one on 23 got 2 successive promotions won north and unfortunately did something you always say you fail on and won playoffs to go up from national League haha
4:38 you deserve it kev (p.s. i love the method approach, having your tie skew-whiff because you've rushed back from the ski centre is an admirable level of realism :))
"denying the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by a handball offence (except a goalkeeper within their penalty area)" is a sending off offense according to this years rules. So when the Peteborough Sports player jumped and punched the ball, the game deemed it that the player did the above.
I love the series! I'm actually doing my own non-league to legend save starting at Skellefteå FF in the Swedish 4th tier I believe (the wage budget is not even 400£)
Just wanted to say it’s been a minute since I caught a video. With the new release of fm24 the algorithm showed me the first episode can’t wait to see even more.
So good to have NLTL back. I kind of enjoyed the beta saves, but this what it’s all about. Fourth or fifth I’ve watched & this feels like it will be as good any I’ve watched.
I love the NLTL! I've been watching since Leamington (so not so long ago) but this is the kind of career I like! I started as jobless and I am know managing FC Gifu in JLeague 3 with a 3-4-1-3 (with 2DM and 2 defensive winger)! Best attack of the league but also worse defense. At least I am scoring more than I concede goals ^^
@lollujo I’ve been doing a pentagon challenge save since the early access and am loving it. Started in Japan’s third league and am currently in my third season where I have just got promoted to the first league in Japan. I get the vibe that this will easily be my favourite fm. I will keep you updated
Never played FM until this year and I'm absolutely terrible and have no clue what I'm doing with York City. But really love this series so far and I love the the realism you add 😂 my girlfriend thought you were actually planning a love to Tamworth and got a job as a Ski instructor
Always love these series Kev. Just don't have time to play FM anymore due to work and kids. Shame really as I've been playing since it was championship manager way back. But these vids give me the hit I need. Keep up the good work mate!
looking forward to it kev, congrats on the early success of the season! Would love you to visit Scotland this year and manage my team (Partick Thistle)
Great intro 😂 The commentary said it was an intentional handball, maybe because it would have been denying a goal scoring opportunity for the attacker?
On this day, WCW Clash Of The Champions XXV took place in St. Petersburg, Florida. A star-studded card was headlined by Ric Flair retaining the World Heavyweight Championship by DQ against Big Van Vader. Elsewhere on the card, The Nasty Boys defeated Sting and Davey Boy Smith, Rick Rude and Road Warrior Hawk fought to a double count out in an International Heavyweight Championship match and the Shockmaster beat The Equaliser.
In the glow of his room at the Holiday Inn, Kevin Chapman's search, worn to the skin. At six-foot-four, with a manager's grin, For Tamworth he toils, for the perfect win. The left-back's elusive, a gap in his plan, Yet he presses on, this Football Manager man. From ski slopes to pitch, his journey's within, All from the desk at the Holiday Inn.
Any semblance of the Kev who happily stayed under budget in the Brighton save is gone. 😂 Also, No Double Jeopardy applies only to Denial of Goal Scoring Opportunity. It can be red outside the box. But only yellow+PK within. Violent conduct, handball, or anything else inside box can still be red+pen.
Enjoying the content a lot :) it's my first time playing FM, I've started with Marino de Luanco in Asturias. My uncle used to play there in his younger days. Learning a lot!
Love the start to this series. Probably already been mentioned or noticed, but when you looked at the replay of the red card incident, it said in the text on the bottom of the screen that it was a deliberate handball
kev, i am enjoying the series i like seeing you manage financial restraints and trying to build a squad i'm currently managing the relatively rich brackley the weather is a bit a chilly
That intro is hilarious! I though oh that’s an understandable sight…a British person having to wear their jacket in the house because it’s so cold 😂 but it was an intro
I could do with the coat you started off with today after the snow centre today... Loving the start of the series, although I'm on pentagon save duty this year :)
I love NLTL, I always do my own alongside watching your series. I kept hitting pick team until I got one in the north or south and drew Yeovil this year!
So my biggest observation from last year starting team is the home attendance, you already get 1000+ gates compared to 200 last year. Should mean you are not as handicapped
I'm giving this a go this year, I live 7 miles from warrington towns ground so going to see how well I can do with them 🤞🏻 also got my eye on a home game in the FA trophy against Blyth in few weeks 😊
With his day job as a ski instructor Kev will know what to do if the season starts to go downhill
He's a ski instructor; most of his season will be downhill.
🥁
"I obviously don't have a house, I have a holiday inn" is possibly the greatest quote in the world
Love the role play aspect. I really think this helps the save. I would personally like more of this kind of content. It’s adds a depth and a difference to FM content, especially when there is drama, humour, or jeopardy.
100% agree. Hopefully he’ll do I little video of him visiting The Lamb Ground
Fair play
cant wait to see Kev on the red carpet at the Oscars. 🤣
an oscar would be a great addition to the trophy cabinet
NLTL is genuinely right up there with the absolute best FM content you can watch! Keep it up Kev.
Anyone just jumping into this episode, must be wondering what the hell you are rambling on about with the Holiday Inn and all your Winter Ski gear and work, love it Kev...keeping it real 10/10 !
Yeah if you didn't watch the first couple of episodes (first of all, go watch them!) They might be confused and rightly so.
That intro was brill! Looks like some success coming early on here potentially
Take my upvote, just for that intro
I was forced to make a choice between 2 clubs as they were the same distance from me, never had that before. (Warrington & Rushall Olympic). What swayed it - the home kit colour matches the team I played for as a kid. Warrington were also 6 minuets quicker to get to when I checked on the maps app.

@@Jordan_snw Romero was rightly sent off for serious foul play. He'd have been sent off for that anywhere on the pitch
@@Jordan_snw Serious Foul Play is a red card regardless of double jeopardy

Intro skit was top bins kev, best one I have seen in NLTL.
Am top with my Tamworth save as well.. this is a tasty core of a squad.
I come back every series despite not being able to afford the last two FMs, just because of how in character Kev stays. It's absolutely amazing
Just love non-league to legend, has been my favourite series of every FM game cycle for years.
Great series kev ,i started a save with scarborough ,won the league and in conference
Absolutely love these series on here inspired me to do a Chester one on 23 got 2 successive promotions won north and unfortunately did something you always say you fail on and won playoffs to go up from national League haha

👏👏👏👏 I just had to applaud the commitment to the bit in the intro
Just wanted to say it’s been a minute since I caught a video. With the new release of fm24 the algorithm showed me the first episode can’t wait to see even more.
I know this is an older video but I'm rewatching some of your series' and wanted to call it out! Love your content and hope you keep it up!
So good to have NLTL back. I kind of enjoyed the beta saves, but this what it’s all about. Fourth or fifth I’ve watched & this feels like it will be as good any I’ve watched.
Love the concept of these videos and how you bring a story alive with the ski instructor narrative. Very unique.
Thanks

Loving it! My own NLTL save starting in League 2 Scotland with the Spartans!
big up harvey swann
I’m doing the same but with Dumbarton!
Managing Chester FC trying to do my own Non-League to Legend
FM24 is my first ever FM, enjoying it so far as I'm 4th in the league with Leyton Orient. Keep it up Kev mate
Cold openings rivalling the US office.
Made me laugh out loud fair play 👏
Just started watching him this guys amazing lol so consistent with his uploads

It said on the bottom of the highlight Kev that the player handled the ball, another great episode of NLTL
adding the story to the gameplay makes it really so much better. love the idea and love this series
The intro coming home from ’work’😂😂 NLTL is the greatest
Brilliant start to the video kev, it was the last thing I expected 😂
Good evening from The Netherlands and keep it going Kev!
i started to watch this series in fm23. i enjoyed so much i kept watch u on twitch and RUclips with your two channels. keep the hard work.
I love the little skits at the start 🤣
Comment for the algorithm! Loving the series so far Kev, love the intros 😂
That start to the video 😂 Man I love Kev. Weather here in New Zealand is good, summer is coming!
Loving the start to this series
It's raining and the local binmen are on strike. Fortunately NLTL brightens my day up
looking forward to it kev, congrats on the early success of the season! Would love you to visit Scotland this year and manage my team (Partick Thistle)
I've decided to not get FM24, as I know FM 25 is gonna be a big update, so I'm playing it vicariously through you Kev
Great intro 😂
The commentary said it was an intentional handball, maybe because it would have been denying a goal scoring opportunity for the attacker?
Thought Kev was back in the old garage there for a mo the way he came in all wrapped up.

Love the intro and roleplay in the series. Also, it's good to see Gash, but what happened with Maniche? (Last year Peterbrough Sports)
Love it Kev, let’s hope Kempi is watching

Brilliant commitment to the bit
Really enjoying the series Kev, I'm getting strong King's Lynn NLTL vibes
The commute from the snow centre is nothing like the work you did in the early seasons at Tours de France.
Love the start to this series. Probably already been mentioned or noticed, but when you looked at the replay of the red card incident, it said in the text on the bottom of the screen that it was a deliberate handball
Weather is a bit drab up here in Bradford but at least we finally have a new manager for the weekend!
Loving it Kev, I've started at Weston super Mayer in the National League South!!
I love the way you started the episode
Loving the series so far Kev
Loving the series so far
Great intro! Also I didn’t know affiliate clubs are not allowed in English football! I learn all the time watching your vids Kev. Thanks! Stay warm 😊
The text in the incident replay explained what the infringement was. Deliberate handling, though i agree, you should be able to watch it.
Weather is lovely. Thanks for asking Kev.
Great start to the series
That intro had me in stitches!
kev, i am enjoying the series
i like seeing you manage financial restraints and trying to build a squad
i'm currently managing the relatively rich brackley

I could do with the coat you started off with today after the snow centre today...
Loving the start of the series, although I'm on pentagon save duty this year :)
If you start to lose games at tamworth you will be on a slippery slope,
Mr ski instructor,
Great work kev
Love the commitment to the snow globe
Fantastic! You’ve made my morning drive a little bit more bearable.😅
Love the vids kev!!!!!
Nice bit of role play to start by Kevski
I love NLTL, I always do my own alongside watching your series. I kept hitting pick team until I got one in the north or south and drew Yeovil this year!
I love this years shadow striker role! Mine on my Mansfield save is doing incredible😍
I think I can spare a like and a comment. Great video and glad the series is starting strong.
As a derby fan and season ticket holder, binning off Derby at the moment is a wise move 😂 love the series so far Kev!
Absolutely loved the intro, Kev. Keep up the great work!
Offer the chief scout to be director of Football, mate. Internal recruitment cannot be disallowed
So my biggest observation from last year starting team is the home attendance, you already get 1000+ gates compared to 200 last year. Should mean you are not as handicapped
Im new to fm so glad iv found your channel
The intro 😂 what a way to start the series!
This guy takes it to next level
Hahaha the beginning, pure perfection
I'm giving this a go this year, I live 7 miles from warrington towns ground so going to see how well I can do with them 🤞🏻 also got my eye on a home game in the FA trophy against Blyth in few weeks 😊
Only seen the intro and already laughed out loud. 🤣 Good to have NLTL back. ☺️
the first 30 seconds deserved a like on its own
love your fm stuff, keep it up Kev
Best part of the day this series
