So sorry to hear you had flooding in your community garden but look at the plants you have left, lots of lovely crops there and that cute little pumpkin! We call places like that Allotments in the UK and my friend has one and loves it! We used to grow veg but no success due to lack of light where they were planted. I do have some green beans in a gro bag which are doing so well. Thanks so much for the update 🌱🥕

I have several friends who have told me to try the grow bags. I think I will give them a try. I hear only good things.

Hello, Lisa! What a beautiful garden. I'm watching USI am hands sewing a gown I made for my sister-in-law.😊
    Have a blessed week.

Nice little tour of your garden. The marigolds and zinnias are always so cheerful.

I’m so thankful for what few flowers survived the drowning! I was feeling terribly discouraged.

Yes Lisa Ann, I had similar results with my garden. A had a lot of cukes for a couple of weeks and then the plants died. Too much rain. Same for my zucchinis. A small harvest and then they died. Fortunately I'm harvesting tomatoes daily. Unfortunately, I have rabbits that enjoy my garden. I have the highest respect for the farming profession. They feed us and they don't seem to get the respect they deserve. Having a garden is indeed a challenge. Thanks for the tour.

Hi Grace! I respect our farmers too. It’s unpredictable each year what they may battle. I’m sure hope to get a tomato soon! Thanks for stopping by!

You had quite a nice, large garden. While you lost several plants to the deer, I lost a few things to the Florida weather. Ah well...I'll be getting my Fall garden ready real soon.

    I have a green thumb! That's me too!😂😂😂

Sometimes I have a green thumb, but not always. A little girl at church asked if she could paint my nails. 😊 Of course I had to let her.

I’m having success with my grow bag garden. I don’t deal with slugs or pests and it’s impossible to over water the grow bags because they drain and have full air flow with the cloth. Something to consider. It beats tilling and takes the anxiety of too much rain away. Weeding is super easy as well.

Lisa have you heard about free seeds from libraries? Just a thought, maybe check it out.

Our library in Alabama had free seeds. Thanks for the reminder; I’ll have to check our local libraries.

I know you must be disappointed, but there's hope for some of your plants! You've worked SO hard in your Community Garden! Maybe next year will be better for you. Here's a point to ponder: The philosopher who said that work well done never needs doing over obviously has never weeded a garden. 🍆🧄🍅🌽🧅🥔🍠
