Here is my plan to sleep 7 people and a dog comfortably on a Harbor Freight 4x8 trailer using a Smittybilt XL roof top tent above and a popup tent in the trailer bed.
Hey thanks for watching! Yeah it will totally work you. The trailer bed is flatter and smoother than any campsite tent pad 👍 I'd like to have hang-up canvas side panels to enclose the trailer, but that wouldn't be mesquito proof like a tent, and most 2 man tents would be cheaper anyway
@@kampinglogik No problem love the content, My build is essentially like yours but I am wanting to add 4 leveling jacks. Like you said the trailer bed is definitely flatter than any camping pad but sleeping on a sloped surface keeps me up at night.
Yes I have also installed 4 Red Hound stabilizer jacks on mine. They have been great, so easy and convenient. One of my favorite aspects of my trailer. I talk about installing them in this short: ruclips.net/user/shortsifcBwG_vwKU and you can see them a little more in this video of my trailer build: studio.ruclips.net/user/videoUT-Ja2ovLqQ/edit
I'm thinking about doing the same thing. Glad someone else has done it and it look good.
