My Husband’s entire family live on Pine Island. All of the bridges are gone so there is no way off or on the island except by boat. A friend picked up my Mother and sister-in-law in his boat and got them off the island then we drove down from Charleston SC to get them. I am so grateful for all of the people that brought food, water and gas to help. Thank the Lord that everyone is ok physically. Thank you for your message of support. God is good!
I hate hearing what you've been through. I am so sorry. ❤️
I just seen a video. They have temporary bridge to Pine Island. For residents and worker’s. God Bless you! ❤
I've stayed at the RV resort on Pine Island (north of St James City). I'm guessing it's in shambles now. Glad everyone is safe.

YES!!! THE HOUSES ARE ON STILTS!! That tells you EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW!!
Hey guys, Glad you made it out and back safe. I have a friend and his family, fulltimers. Who were running from the storm and flooding in Ft Myers Florida. He and his family own a 5th wheel pulled by a dually and as they were leaving, driving on the highway, the water was so deep and was coming into the truck and the 5th wheel was floating off to one side. Luckily it only happened for a few hundred feet and the trailer tires finally hit bottom and lined back up. They made to higher dryer ground, driving all the way to Lake City Florida.. Good Luck and God Bless
Glad you guys evacuated & got off the island safely. Many people wait until it's too late & than they whine when Mother Nature rages on. Hurricanes & tropical are nothing to be messing around with in a RV. Neither are tornadoes or snowstorms. Be safe folks.
Totally agree. Constantly monitoring the weather and leaving before the flooding starts is paramount
Glad you all are safe from the storm. Excellent call on leaving the campground when you did. I drove that same route 2 weeks ago in our class C and that tunnel is tight! We would not have made that tunnel in our 38’ Class A. If you don’t already subscribe to Ryan Hall Y’all you should check him out. He has excellent coverage of the weather during all storms. We also have the Radar Omega App which is a great tool to have when your home is on wheels. Watching JJ broke my heart and Kensley warmed it 🥰. As Ryan Hall always say’s “Don’t be scared, be prepared”. When we bought our first motorhome I asked a friend who had a motorhome for his best advice. He told me “never get into a situation you can’t get out of”. I0 years later I still use his advice. I always scope out gas stations, Campground entrances and exits before arrival. When seconds count, having an escape plan is key. Safe Travels 😎
Thank you for your support of Hurricane 🌀 Ian victims. We live in the Daytona Beach area that was hard hit by historic flooding and wind damage too! No where near the wiping out of barrier islands like Sanibel, Pine Island, Fort Myers Beach and much of SW Florida. We have many friends and relatives who have been profoundly impacted by the second deadliest Hurricane 🌀in the US behind Katrina.
I'm glad you are OK. Storms are hard on kids but cuddling with Mom and the TV is a wonderful distraction. Everyone affected by hurricane Ian is in my prayers. Take care of yourselves
THIS STORM HAS BEEN STUCK OVER DELAWARE FOR A WEEK NOW AND IT'S KILLING ME, I FELT IT COMING & WHILE IT'S BEEN HERES TOO, I'M REALLY OVER IT NOW !!
@@Tammy121111 if you don't have flooding or wind damage just be grateful! Take a look at all of the devastation that Ian perpetrated over much of the Florida peninsula with millions of homeless people and well over 200 people dead.
So glad you're safe and love that you encouraged giving to Samaritan's Purse. You guys are the best. God bless you!
Samaritans purse was the only charity that fired up their jets to rescue Canadian citizens off St martteen durning Irma.
St marrteen has the biggest medical school with students from all over the world attending
I live in Virginia and love the Chesapeake Bay bridge tunnel! It’s awesome!❤❤❤❤
Peace and Blessings for your week! Glad that your Families stayed safe.
I love the bay bridge and tunnel. It's so cool!!
Love that bridge. Makes my cummins turbo really scream coming out of it. 👍
I am so glad you guys stayed safe! Poor JJ broke my heart a little though! So hard for them at that age for sure! Storms are super scary as adults and kids just don't know how to process that fear!
So very glad you all are ok. Praying you stay safe. Blessings
Thanks so much
Glad everyone is safe! My heart and prayers go out to all those affected by the storm. Having been forced to move by 8 inches of rain and 3 feet of snow,I understand the hassle of having to move quickly. Stay safe everyone.
So thankful you all are safe.
praying for y'all and for everyone in the storm's paths!
So glad you’re safe!
Glad to know y'all are safe & sound... pre-planning as you did keeps these adventures on the good side of memories!
So glad you’re ok - looks like you made the exact right decision. Please take care.❤
So glad y’all are ok. Been praying for all affected in Florida🙏🏻❤️
Thank you so much!
Glad y’all were able to go someplace safe. Praying the storms are over and all is still well.
Thank goodness you guys are safe!🙏🏻
Thankfully you’re safe, God bless ❤️
Thank you!
So glad you are ok! I'm in north FL. Prayers for those affected!
So funny when I see people so excited about the tunnel. I grew with the tunnel so no big deal. We didn’t get much here in sc. but gone now and the weather is about gone. Just a little cooler. Safe travels ❤
Love you all, so glad your safe!!!!!
Relieved that it all worked out. The two of you were very wise to have made the decision that you made into and in the end, you came out OK. Safe travels and thank you again for sharing all that you share with all of us.
Thank you.
Glad all of you are safe including your travel friends.
Yes, thank you
Great video. Brought back memories of June 1998. My sister lives im Deland FL. We were down for her wedding. Wildfires everywhere. Driving down 95 and 4 with both sides of the road on fire. Had to run from 2 campgrounds and spend the night in a rest area on 4 near Orlando. I'll never forget the smoke.
Glad you guys are safe. The kids did awesome.keeping everyone in my prayers. Most important is have each other and the kids. You did the right thing.Stay safe and a great week 🙏🙏💐
Thanks so much
So glad you all are ok.
CONTINUED BLESSINGS TO YOU AND YOURS!!!
STEADY ON!!!
Tough to make those moment to moment choices, but feels so good to know our home is moveable! We had left FL and were already at a Lake Hartwell SC campground luckily, so we barely got any rain. Glad you guys are safe!
So true!
Great call! Glad you are safe! 🙏🙏🙏 for all who had losses! 🙏🙏🙏
Yes, thank you
Great video guys. Thanks for sharing. So glad you are safe.
Thanks so much
I'm so glad that y'all are safe. I lived in Beaufort County for a number of years. Twins Lakes is literally on a peninsula with Chocowinity Bay on one side and the Pamlico River on the other side. That area frequently flooded. Safe travels.
Good read of weather conditions and surrounding areas. Excellent decision making to relocate to safe and high ground. 👍👍
Glad you are all safe. Great advice
So glad ya'll got to a good place. Enjoyed this video. Will be watching your travels!!!
Thanks so much!!
You folks are really Blessed! What a blessing of wisdom! Good decision.
Awww the baby is so sweet; he's tired too...bless his heart
Love you guys. Be safe!
Glad you stayed safe. JJ’s pout is so cute.
thankful you guys are safe
So thankful you are safe.
I ready love your channel guys. You both are so down earth. I hate to see the floods but the decisions you made were the best for your whole family.
I haven’t heard you guys say it directly but I’m pretty sure you guys are saved. Most people don’t use the word, blessed and the mention of Franklin Graham’s Samaritans Purse, really confirmed it to me.
Love your footage and real life emotions your family went through during those storms.
God Bless your whole family and stay safe.
This is Alan, saying GREETINGS from Riverside in Southern California.
Nathan and Marissa, You are bold and strong in spirit people. You're not afraid to move forward. You don't lose your temper in difficult situations. You do not lose optimism where it is no longer there. You give people joy and hope. Thank you for your adventures. Good luck to you and smooth roads...
Thank you so much ❤️
So glad you made ot through the Rain
You both are so correct about being blessed if we are safe and still have a house, or RV. I live live in Ocala, fl. We were supposed to get the storm but we didnt. I pray for those who lost so much. Love your videos guys. Charley and Laura
So thankful that your family is alright. I’ve followed you forever, and feel like you are extended family. Thoughts and prayers still coming, love your family. PS when you are in Elkhart you are several miles from me.❤️
❤
So glad you were all alright after the flood in the park. Glad you moved on and went to chick-fil-A. I love that place. That was so cool going under water in that tunnel. It’s scary at first. I did it going from Michigan where I’m from to Canada. It’s nice though after you get used to it.
Better to be safe than sorry. So glad your are safe.
Amazing driving through that tunnel!!!
So glad you guys are okay! I stayed an extra couple of days in Gatlinburg to avoid any storm issues
keep making smart decisions. ya'll are awesome
Thank God you are all safe 🙏🏻 Safe Travels guy's ❤️
Great video to share RV life in a storm!
Glad you enjoyed it
I enjoyed your thought process for staying or going! Thank you for sharing your journey! 🖖🏻👍🏻😘🙏🏻
Thanks for watching!
Poor JJ, how cute us he though, thanks for sharing and as always stay safe, safe travels and God bless love ya Nancy
Thanks so much
I WILL PRAY FOR YOUR CONTINUED SAFTEY GOD BLESS LOVE YOU
I am so happy you guys are safe. My sister and her husband’s campground in Port Charlotte (Harbor Lakes) looked like a bomb went off. They were unable to get their camper out as they were home in Maryland. She got photos today of their camper and the fact it is still standing is a miracle. So many lost so much, we are just grateful they were not down there yet. Love you guys and you all made the right call. Safe travels.
❤️❤️❤️
@@LessJunkMoreJourney we returned from Port Charlotte after spending 8 days of clean up. Her camper was totaled but we were able to pack most of it out. Because we could not completely open her slides (fear of them falling out it the whole camper tipping over) some things were left behind. But, as tough as it was, her camper fared even better than many. We saw fifth wheels and class A’s on their roofs with windows all blown out. I just can’t even imagine. And that was just at Harbor Lakes. Thousands and thousands of Families have had their lives turned upside down. You guys witnessed this kind of disaster when the tornadoes ripped through Cookeville and Middle TN. I pray everyday for all those affected by these disasters ❤️❤️
That must have been pretty scary! Y'all take care and have safe travels!
The pink boots. I know. I bought a pair of every available size when my granddaughter was little and LOVED pink. She wore pink boots for YEARS. I think they were on sale at Target for maybe $5. Worth every penny.
Welcome to NC. I watch yall every week. It's really great to see the RUclips Full Rvers come to your state. NC is beautiful and has a lot to see but we are in the line of hurricane weather. Sorry.
Thank you for what you do. Love LJMJ!!!
Awesome! Thank you!
It was a great idea to leave when you did. Glad you went to Walmart and camped there.Glad you were able to go back to the campground fatter the storm. Glad you are home safe and sound. See you all soon!
Thanks for bringing us along!
Our pleasure!
Stay safe. Love you guys
Though it's hectic and less than ideal I'm happy your on the move and safe.
Glad you found a safe place to weather the storm . I live in North Carolina. Ian was a strange acting hurricane . I live about 2 hours from the coast . We had places under water during Fran and Floyd. You did the right thing moving away from rivers .
So glad you all went to the parking lot! Great call! ❤
Thank you 🤗
I live in south Florida, on the SE coast. I was without power for 5 days and felt so fortunate that my house was standing. I’m a reptile keeper and a very good friend of mine has a reptile facility in Punta Gorda which got hit hard. The devastation there and Ft Myers is incredible. My neighbor and I just got back from Ft Myers. We took our travel trailers over with tools, phone chargers, infant supplies and MRE’s with us. I absolutely can’t sufficiently express how devastating the destruction is. I saw the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew and this is worse.
So glad you are all okay.
Great video. You guys played this very well.
I'm sending many prayers for you and all that was affected by Hurricane Ian. I'm so thankful that you got out of campground that had 2 feet of water. You are in my prayers and thoughts. Sending much love and thankful that you are safe. GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY.
I’m glad you made the choice to leave. I’m in Florida but we made out good in our area unfortunately others have not. Prayers to those in South Florida.
Glad you are OK. We had to evacuate as it was supposed to hit Tampa an we have a trailer. That was this past Tuesday. We understand how you are feeling. Our Class A is OOC but the best part is the Trailer is OK with a lot of yard clean up that is taking this old phart a bit of time to complete. Glad you are all safe and dry, doing well. Prayers and keep on trucking.
Thankful you’re safe. You made the best choice ❤.
Thank you!
Totally understand why you left.We had an experience once where our site flooded so bad it almost reached the door on our trailer it was quite the experience. Stay safe prayers to everyone who lost their homes in hurricane Ian.🙂🇨🇦❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Going was a smart choice. Why take chances by staying another hour! I feel great responsibility for my family.
I fly into Norfolk a lot and see that bridge disappear under the water….crazy! Glad y’all are doing well! We have had to make a run for it a couple times now during bad weather. We are out in the Southwest right now and watching Ian devastate the east coast has been heartbreaking.
I've owned an Airstream for 22 years. It is VERY stable on the road, no sway whatsoever (first a Reese hitch with sway bar, now an Equalizer 4 point which i love).
Nathan, I felt your pain when you drove the Bay Bridge and Tunnel. It is very stressful. Glad you all are safe. I expect Hensley has a new pair of pink boots on order (that fit). JJ was stressed. It's contagious from parents to the kids. We got caught in a huge thunder and lighting storm when our daughter was about 3. We were in a campground in Yellowstone NP. We kept reassuring her that were knew we were safe and we should enjoy the storm (several times). Prayers to all impacted.
I am sending my prayer to you all. From Australia. God bless
I can't take the lip either! He had me in tears.
At least one of my nieces is in Florida and had to go to and emergency shelter others still have no power and have to boil water. :( I missed when you posted this and I'm relieved you were able to get out of there. Prayers for everyone, love from Michigan!
the bridge tunnel is neat to go through the first time
Stay safe Glad to see you that you where not flooded out cya
I'm just glad you are all okay.
I can't imagine being on the road in an RV during a Hurricane/Tropical Storm. We were in it's path indirectly. It was a rain event and a wind event. Most people lost power for at least and hour. Glad you were able to avoid most of the terror associated with the storm. Having small children is always a concern maybe not so much as a safety issue but how they handle the stress situations emotionally. As adults we may not show the tempest that we feel inside. But living in NC as I do we know the potential for this time of year. You just have to plan. I just made sure that all my outside stuff was done Thursday and just hunkered down inside for Friday.
Glad you are safe.
So glad your all ok.
Glad you guys are ok! We had to evacuate our home in Cape Coral Fl.
Fortunately, we had an RV and went to the east coast. Quite blessed our home sustained minimal damage.
Chesapeake Bay bridge tunnel - did that several times, its a challenge but doable
Stay safe and healthy 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
My daughters apartment in central Florida was flooded and it will be weeks before it will be livable
So sorry to hear this. Glad she is safe.
Prayers for her 🙏
So true, we're worried because your house is fragile, but if you need to go you can just go.
So glad that storm didn't hit you, it was a bad one! We watched it on the news and wow! I hope there isn't too many more of them this year!
My son, 40 yo, doesn’t understand why I watch RUclips instead of TV. Well, he just stood behind me and watched this entire blog! He loves you guys! Your positive messages are so needed right now. Thank God for you. God bless your family.❣️~ TN Nana
That is so nice, thank you. Next time he can sit down and watch some episodes. 😀
Glad you guys are safe!! Thank you for sharing with all of us!!
