It's actually super interesting! F91 was originally supposed to be a full fledged Gundam series, I believe it was scheduled for 24 total episodes. As is with most Gundam anime, it ran into several production issues after the first couple episodes were scripted with much more being worked on. It's unknown how much of F91's original script made it into the movie, so it ended up feeling more like a compilation film than a movie. Crossbone Gundam serves not as a theatrical art piece, but as sort of a remady to F91, inheriting a lot of how the original F91 story was supposed to be planned out. Again, many sources will argue about how closely crossbone Gundam relates back to the original F91 scripts, but we can make a pretty good guess. Funnily enough, I'm actually a fan of the goofy style for crossbone Gundam. Gives all the MS a stylized look that I love
I’ve thought a lot about this. I could see them doing revive style kits to make the kits look a lot more like the stylisation seen in the manga, as the kits in hand look a lot more like the art and not the manga itself.
I also think of them redesigning the crossbone gundams to meet modern standards like the XI and make hgs of the redesigns except keeping the joints of the original hg but with new parts.
I don't think rereleasing the Crossbone kits that already exist is that big of a deal. They did the same thing with the HG Seed kits when the Special Edition came out in 2011, almost a decade after those kits were first printed. And the HG Crossbone holds up much better now than those old Seed kits did back then. It's definitely possible.
There is so much Gundam stuff unaccounted for. - Crossbone anime - Doan's Island release - Possible continuation or outright remake for 0079 - The last bits of Thunderbolt being properly adapted into OVAs - A Western Blu Ray release of Gundam Hathaway And considering The Witch of Mercury hasn't even started yet, it's going to be a painful long wait to see this stuff possibly happening.
You think they would’ve made one when Gokaiger came out. Imagine a Pirate Sentai, One Piece, and Crossbone running at the same time. Also they could just remake the old crossbones and revive it
I hope they redesign most of the mechs and thus it'll give them an excuse to make new kits and a new anime. That said...I'm not 100% on the writing of crossbone...so an anime would not be my most anticipated crossbone product.
Man, so many people in the comments wanting the MSs from Crossbone to become the same generic sleek panel-lined stuff we've been getting for years. I, as a Super Robot fan, welcome our Goofy 4 Armed Chimpanzee Piloted Zaku Overlords.
A bit late, but i think crossbone could be the next step of UC after we finish the hathaway trilogy. By the time we finish the trilogy, itd be 2026 at min, and the X-bone kits would be more than 10 years old. A completely new line of kits dubbed anime ver. (like unicorn's ova ver.) would help distinguish the kits (the old ones would be retroactively dubbed manga ver.).
No anime ? Maybe the strange MS design is hard to make into toys and model kits, even they did make it out to the store but the look is not pleasing enough for the customer to buy I guess ? marketing.
@@U.S.CyberSoldier50 good question! It can basically be summarized as Marketing. Gundam (while having several large and expansive stories) is, and always has been to sell toys. Making an Anime takes lots of time - and money. You need artists, writers, voice actors, animators, directors, sound composition, and the list goes on and on. Funding an anime is difficult, which is why most don't even make it past a first or second season. Bandai will market a new anime with its brand-new models and figures made for it. Take the new anime production, GquuuuuuX. Before getting the anime even released, we have both a HG and a Robot Spirits (or chogokin I'm not actually sure) slated for a January 2025 release. Bandai makes the toys and money, sunrise makes the anime. This means that if bandai deems a specific suit or material to be less successful marketing wise, it'll have next-to-no chance of getting an anime adaptation from sunrise
It depends on what you mean by UC. If you have seen enough gundam stories that is based on UC timeline, you could see a bunch of different theme all over everywhere. While Crossbone's pirate style is pretty heavy, if you look at the development from F90 to Victory and Zanscare, you will find Crossbone's design isn't all that different. Ignoring the manga's art style, Crossbone's MS design could perfectly fill the gap between F91 and V2, which is a part of UC.
Someone has to explain to me why f91 had such a exquisite art style and cross bone gundam just went full on middle school how to draw manga style.

@@Edward_Reviews Same here, I love how the Crossbones straight up have Shipbows as chests. ♥️
I can see Gundam Crossbone anime coming out after Hathaway's Flash 2 or waaay later, maybe 2030/2035. Either way, it'll be a long time sadly...
It seems that way 😓

Also just Revive them

Witch of mercury ended bro what are you talking about?

I could swear there was an anime....it was stolen by pirates and it had the cross bones added and cloak
You're probably thinking of the age 2 dark hound
Oh yeah especially those X0,1,2,3 "Metal Build" are worth a pretty penny on the aftermarket basically above 200 us bills
Exactly, kits are a whole racket unless they're restocked 😮💨
I hope they redesign most of the mechs and thus it'll give them an excuse to make new kits and a new anime. That said...I'm not 100% on the writing of crossbone...so an anime would not be my most anticipated crossbone product.
I mean we could have slight redesign of the crossbone gundams and they get called “crossbone gundam x1 ver anime”
Man, so many people in the comments wanting the MSs from Crossbone to become the same generic sleek panel-lined stuff we've been getting for years.

Finally, another Barbus fan!!
You should credit nicoMOVIE100 for the fan animation you placed in the video, not E.N.D Network. The latter just re-uploaded the former's work
Will do, thanks for letting me know!
@@Edward_Reviews awesome, thank you too
And.... they release Witch From Mercury instead 😅

That's not a bad idea!! Here's to wishful thinking lol
Maybe it was a Manga and it was so good i made into an anime in my head
I really enjoyed the F91 film when I seen it and found out about crossbone
The x 2 and x3 where also released
Glad you're branching out from just reviewing model kits.
Thanks! I plan on doing a lot more content like this.
No anime ? Maybe the strange MS design is hard to make into toys and model kits, even they did make it out to the store but the look is not pleasing enough for the customer to buy I guess ? marketing.
Do they even need to make kits to make an anime. ? Why not just make the anime. ??

Moon gundam?
I think they have a high grade kit
crossbone doesn't fit into UC at all I think its cool but it would totally ruin uc going forward with all its pirate themes stuff ....
