Nice vid I have the mk4 caddy maxi life , its a stunning machine..I totally agree with the blind spot its huge and you have to move around the drivers pillar post to view especially turning right on a junction to watch out for people crossing and bikes etc...
Might be wrong but I believe because you have led lights the beam pattern is now incorrect which is blinding people and should technically fail an mot in the UK. I got some decent halogens not the cheap generic ones much brighter and a nicer colour too.. hope this helps 👍
Am I the only person in the world with a problem with the cup holders? Absolutely, unequivocally the WORST design failure VW EVER made with the Caddy. I don't get it. I've driven three different Marks and they have all been the same, even my 2017 model is the same. The cup holders are completely the wrong size for anything and will f%$k your coffee or Cola off over your centre console, seats, floor mats, everywhere except your mouth. WHY.
warning on the dash for the lights is because your led lights are probably not canbus. Led takes less power than regular lights . So the car thinks your headlights are broken
Yes your right about everything I've got K2 sportline love it. The handling went off when the front spring broke changed it for bilstein shocks. The springs was one down from the top grade springs. Am thinking of changing them. VW want £800 each plus vat for springs
We have a caddy maxi life 7 seater dsg ive owned it for 3 weeks one thing i hate is the safelock gives me trouble only reason why i brought it it was cheaper to buy the 7 seater than a van 11plate 4k 168k
😂 100% agree with the headlights and the behind seat storage! Other than that I don’t struggle I guess because I’m 5’7-5’8. I specifically went for the Maxi though because I want to convert mine to a day van with a single bed for bike trips
Why woukd you want a van for bike trips? Surely you'd ride a route.. stop and then sleep in a hotel and carry on. Or are you riding a circle, then getting in the van and then driving? Doesn't make sense?
takes 20 mins with an angle grinder , sand off , wrap in stretch and boom problem solved and still stops bits sliding from back to the front :-) cheers fella 🙂@@JakTones
100% agree with that bulkhead one, almost been caught on on multiple occasions, but been saved by like you said just to check it multiple times before pulling away!

That’s exactly right dude! Led is an MOT failure! I’ve done the same as you now. I can see where I’m going and so can oncoming traffic, happy days!

I can agree with this!! This is a bonus point! Do not buy Milwaukee travel mug and expect it to fit in the cup holders!

Caddy Maxi can take 3 trials motorcycles. They're a bit lower than motocross bikes.

I cut the grill out the driver side bulkhead and about 4 inches of whats under it and can adjust the seat back in more relaxed position :-)

Im in Australia and thinking of buying a Maxi, but the cost of servicing is making me wonder if it's a money pit.

The limited leg room on the passenger side is a minor irritation for me .
I can agree with you on that one! Take half the bulk head out you can slide the seat back a tiny bit more
No trouble with the injectors? I’ve had one injector go on my Maxi. I know Caddy’s of a certain age have had problem injectors.
