yeah that's a bit of a stretch there big dawg lol NBA on NBC was great, but it was saved by Magic and Bird and taken to new levels by Jordan. Wouldn't have mattered where any of those games were played.

Listening to Bob Costas intro these games was the part of my childhood I’ll never forget. The combination of him doing the pregame show, Marv Albert doing play-by-play, Bill Walton on color commentary and Ahmad Rashad on the sidelines, was something special.

I have to agree with you 100%. I graduated high school in 1991 and this era takes me back to the days of my last year of high school and Undergraduate college days. I can say that both CBS and NBC had the best NBA intros.
Additionally, we saw the two bitter rivals---the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls---destroy the NBA Championship dreams of several teams and superstars.

games dont have introductions like this anymore. its all hype music and flashy plays. this intro told a great backstory and brough present day conversations to the forefront and set the stage for what ppl thought would be a great series and it ultimately wasnt (and vindicated phil's comments).
