It's the opposite Xfinity is one of those brands that doesn't care about it customer's.
Can confirm, AT&T Fiber is way better than cable. Super reliable, Gigabit speeds and $70 a month with no hidden fees.
Only thing better would be a municipal or regional fiber provider.
AT&T is against net neutrality and does some pretty anti-competitive shady stuff at the corporate level but my Fiber service does work great.

Confused by the slide that compares AT&T internet with Cable internet - it shows speeds of 75Mbps for AT&T vs. 250Mbps for Xfinity - but I thought both plans were at 1000Mbps???? Anyone know what the difference is?
I don't they both run about the same it depends where you live and how many people is on it in your area my family use AT&t for a long time and they work almost flawless.
I've had AT&T forever. My family has bounced around from other companies though. But we haven't had Xfinity yet until now. The place we're moving into is 5 hours away and it's located a little away from the main city which is good, but of course at a cost of internet quality. We're going with Xfinity because I asked the manager which service the other tenants use and she said most of them use Xfinity. I called other places though first. I contacted AT&T and they said they only have basic internet in my area which includes 6 Mbps download speed and 1 Mbps Upload speed which is trash when you have 7+ newer devices all on at the same time. Then I called another company named Sonic. And the guy I talked too said the best they had was their basic internet as well which was better than AT&T at 10 Mbps, but still 1 Mbps Upload speed. We all game in my house even if it's just three of us so we need good signals. So, the best to go with in this case was Xfinity that says we'll be getting up to 300 Mbps and that's for everything. It's costing us $79.61 which is ridiculous per month good thing as soon as I start working with my father we'll be splitting that bill. It was originally just $69.99 a month, but we don't have a router so we have to use there's which they call a "Gateway" and that's $14.00 extra a month then $0.61 for taxes. Regardless I'm buying my own router to eliminate that $14.00 fee. I hope it's good I really do I heard they suck when it comes to hidden fees and customer service like this video states. (I'll updated this comment as soon as I've had it for awhile on my overall thoughts if it's good or not) I did all my shopping online, but if I have to cuss someone out for giving me an attitude I will. Even though my family has recently came up and we're leaving the hood in a few days I still come from that life and that mindset I won't hesitate to bring it out again.

It says at&t fiber is available in my neighborhood, but not my street. Also it says xfinity 1000mb is not available in my area, but i have the option to purchase it.

I had AT&T and I will lag sometimes on my ps4. After about 2 months of having xfinity it started slowing down and we reset it and it was back like if it was new and when I did the same thing to AT&T it kept staying the same.

Glad I came to this video, I almost was going to switch to AT&T because they had a better deal, and I've had some issues with slowdowns on XFinity, but it looks like I'm better off just staying with what I got.
Im in the same boat as you. Read in article that in 2021 xfinity is going to raise prices but if it means no problems and no constant calls im down for that.

ATT is horrible just charge me 114 dollars for 8 mps internet why would would anybody in the U.S. go with this company beats me? My internet bill 64 dollars for 8 mps more than most companies charges for high speed internet and I was told I barely went over my allotment and was charged a 50 dollar over limit fee.Not to mention terrible reps that hollow at you when you call terrible reps!

I’ve had xfinity for a year now and my phone never connects to the wifi, my consoles never connect without lan cables, I constantly have to restart the wifi box, I always get poor connection(believe I just got a new phone too) and for some reason I only get 2 bars by the wifi box. We use to have a regular Comcast box and it broke and got xfinity but it doesn’t work

I switched from Comcast to AT&T because of the random outages Comcast had and horrible customer service but I noticed the internet quality of AT&T is worse, I've had way fewer outages with AT&T but the particular problem is with the audio, it appears they are using compressed audio or something because it sounds very tinny, anybody else notice this? I'm thinking about switching back to Comcast because audio quality is important to me

In my area, currently, AT&T only supports 6mbps download and its the same internet ive had for the last 10 YEARS, I just switched to XFinity which supports gigabit and immediately love it. I can finally do what I want to do. For the last 10 years ive still had to put up with buffering. No more will I have to.

I just dropped weak ass at&t in my area... Fiber isn't even available here and I found out I was paying $50 a month for up to 12 Mbps 🤦🏾♂️. Just ordered spectrum and it'll be here in 2 days and I'm paying $70 for 400 Mbps. I'll see how this goes

I played an online game with both at&t and xfinity. When I played with xfinity it only lagged a little bit. When I played with at&t it crashed 2 times

Wtf. I had both, and I’m not going back to at&t. We had the 60 mbps plan, and it took me a good minute to load a video and about 3 hours to download a video game. I switched to xfinity, and I take only a second to load a video, and maybe 30 minutes to download games

I never had att uverse because I lived in the middle of nowhere and couldn’t get cable so I had directv for a little bit of my life and then had an antenna for a few years tyen went back to directv I just like att uverse because grandma and grandma had it but now of days nobody has cable it’s all on the internet
Maybe you didn't take a look at the GigaB threshold for your what you subscribed. Either AT&T or COMCAST/Xfinity i got lag but the thing is that my signal will go down if I exceeded to the threshold of the remaining gigabyte. Just making myself not sounding like stupid to rant on this services. Try to check first before ranting why this is happening either switching if you don't know what's the main reason you'll still experience the inconvenience. ^^

I use Xfinity for gaming and even when the only device is my PC and all the TV's are off my mom is gone so her phone isn't on I still can't be on hypixel for more than 5 minutes and when I am on any server opening my inventory only leads to every item I move in my inventory to teleport back to its original place I can't open shulkers or chests without having to wait at least a minute thirty for the gui to load and don't even get me started when it comes to placing blocks
I have no contract plan with xfinity, best decision ever! You buy the modem, and only pay $45 a month, or $15 a week. No raised fees, works great on everything including my ps4. Btw, for ps4/xbox, change your security settings to the original and smooth gameplay!
I have worked as AT&T customer rep for a year in Convergys Bangalore,India . I would like to tell everyone that when you call the 1800 number or use the chat.. every representative has the authority to give a waiver of maximum $100 per chat or call.. the rep never tells you this.. only if you ask (2-3 times)he is supposed to give you. He would not give it to you right away..he is told to give you you the credit if you re persistent.. The late fee on your bills actually if you ask the rep he would definitely waive it off.. Once I had been scolded by my team leader for giving the highest credit.. $2500 I had given away as credit a month.. so please ask to get the waiver
Xfinity will jack your rates up on almost a monthly basis. They always have an excuse that the programming fee or something out of their control went up. They didn't charge for the modem for along time then they started charging for that. They will tell you one thing on the phone and then charge you something else. When you tell them their agent said it would be this amount they reply well I don't know why they told you that. I got rid of comcast today and going with ATT internet and directv now streaming tv and get more programs for about $44 less.
If you're a gamer and you want low latency/ping. Go for at&t it is more reliable and you don't freeze, but speeds are slower for downloads. if you want high speeds if you stream or download go with Xfinity but outages and speeds dropping to almost 0 happens a lot.
That all depends on your area. I can only speak from my experience. I had AT&T DSL and U-Verse for nearly about a decade. The service was reliable and we rarely had issues with it. however, it was just too slow. 18Mbps was the fastest they could offer in my house. We changed to Xfinity about a year and a half ago to the 150Mbps package and it has also been very reliable for me.
In my area AT&T charges $45 for 25 Mbps while Xfinity charges $50 for 200 Mbps.
My grandma has AT&T and on my xbox it is 2 megabyte per second

I really hope xfinity works for me. I’m switching from at&t to xfinity and we are gonna pay the same price BUT TRIPLE THE SPEED! I really hope the speed is amazing with xfinity! 3nigm4 I’ve had both (100 mb/s plan) I don’t see any difference on my phone at least so far, but idk if it just my Xbox or something, but when I play my game lags a little from time to time and when downloading games it downloads at like 15-60 mb/s which is pretty okay, but we paid for 100 mb/s, Xfinity is much faster with the 100 mb/s plan I had speeds of 90-150 or even higher sometimes and rarely experienced any lag. However you can only use a set amount of gigabytes before they start to charge you because you went over the limit, I Honestly don’t know the limit of the top of my head, AT&T’s limit is 1 terabyte (1000 gigabytes) which was way more than Xfinity’s.
Basically Xfinity is much smoother and faster from my experience so far, but you need to be careful not to go over your limit as they will charge you more. Just to let you know I had an Ethernet cable plugged into my Xbox making the WiFi travel faster to my Xbox, so if you don’t have it plugged to your Router with an Ethernet cable I wouldn’t know how fast Xfinity or AT&T would be. If you do get Xfinity the WiFi may slow down after a year or two so you might have to get your router replaced/get a whole new plan, I had my Xfinity WiFi for 8 months to about a year and it didn’t slow signs of slowing down, however one I had it for around 2- 2.5 years and it slowed down considerably to the point where we had to get a new plan. I’ve only had AT&T for about a week so idk if it’ll slow down.
Short answer: Xfinity is better performance wise like a lot better, especially when whatever your using is plugged into the router via Ethernet cable. Just get Xfinity, AT&T has been a scam so far.
3nigm4 I went from “50 mbps” from att to 170+ mbps with xfinity and we’re basically still paying the same thing. I was satisfied with my switch so if you’re interested go for it. If your att offers att fiber maybe just switch to that.

You never mentioned that you can just buy your own modem router so you don't have to pay per month. I get that this is to compare only the services, but extra info like this can entice someone to pick one over the other.
It depends on the provider. With AT&T, you're limited to the gateway they give you and that's it. With Comcast, you can buy your own modem.

Greatly depends on your area. In general, cable internet service is faster than DSL internet, BUT if you live in an area with fiber internet, that will be faster than either of the 2 other technologies.
Either i am in a the worst area possible for wifi or xfinity cable is conplete dog shit without having an 100+ ping however when i was with at&t i always had a ping of 38 to 50 and streaming was hella smooth as well

I am highly unsatisfied with xfinity. I called so many times to order internet and when I’m done telling what I want they said wait 3-5 days. So I waited and nothing came in that entire week. Then I called again, they said wait another 3-5 days. Still nothing. Then again I called and the man said oh sorry we still have not sent it yet. And to wait another fricking 3-5 days and Nothing.

Don't order any of them unless you have to. Which in most cases you have to order from one of them. But if you are in an area where you can get google fiber internet then do that its only 70 dollars a month and you get to waive the 300 dollars installment fee and its phone and cable with internet. I am paying 108 dollars with comcast. I am getting ripped off. I mean they don't even take me out to dinner first before they rip my arse a new one. Thanks comcast.
