    Exactly Lasse. I love Josh too. It's irritating to hear all these supposed Homme fans talk down to those of us that think that this rocks.I was a Kyuss fan since 1992 when I was just 15. I always thought that Josh was the heart of the band as he seemed to have the most influence. But I always thought the other musicians in the band were badass too. I've chosen to follow them all. It led me to Fu Manchu, Brant Bjork, Che, Unida, Hermano, and Queens of the Stone Age. It's all awesome.

      Shame that it turned out to be the opposite: Kyuss Lives! was all about the money. John and Brant especially were aggressive in their ways to gain control over the Kyuss brand and all of the music by wanting to release albums with the Kyuss name without informing Josh or Scott. Josh (supported by Scott) put a stop to this before things went out of control, as he deserved to as one of the main songwriters and band members. Shame it had to be through court. But as far as I've heard, they are on speaking terms again and decided to let begones be begones.

    Well, when I saw Kyuss Lives! they had Nick in the band still and were just amazing live. Let Josh go play watered down alternative radio rock. These guys tore it up and I fully support them. After seeing them - John and Brandt showed they are the heart of Kyuss.

AKA Demon Cleaner I love this band so Amazing. I can hear there sound in so many modern. I still think metalica should have went with Reeder.

    • @alpakia2
      @alpakia2 10 лет назад +9

      na dude you are dead wrong, the main lyricist and musical composer of kyuss is brant, since sons of kyuss, wretch and blues for the red sun, yes josh did his stuff but at the end thats why they split, cuz josh wanted all the spotlight for himself. brant is the master mind behind all this.

    • @ChaplainDMK
      @ChaplainDMK 9 лет назад +12

      martin o´ryan That's not really true and you know it. Kyuss was a very synergistic band, but Homme was still the biggest contributor. On all the albums he is credited with writing at least 3/4 of the songs. Bjork was definitely an important, maybe even leading songwriter for Blues, but not for Sky Valley or Wretch.
      Homme was also definitely responsible for Kyuss's instantly recognizable sound, it was his enormous bassy guitar tone that made the band instantly stand out, as did his sense of melody.

    • @alpakia2
      @alpakia2 9 лет назад +1

      Well i gotta be real and thats true too, i know his unique style and all that but goddamit he is a fucking douch and now a days a fucking pussy too but ye he was a huge part on kyuss sound.cheers bro

      How would you know that Josh wanted the "spotlight to himself"? Josh was a major contributor to the band known as Kyuss. Granted, the other guys would have written some material..here and there but Josh made that band, a once in a lifetime thing.

    • @alpakia2
      @alpakia2 9 лет назад

      na dude thats were you are wrong, brant was the father of sons of kyuss, now im not discrediting josh but dude brant was the one, he develope the stoner rock sound that we know today, and thats a fact dude you can read kyuss history and you will see, and besides all of this, fuck josh hommes, ye fuck him fucking asshole worring about money and vague things, just listen to his new stuff, dude...its fucking pop garbage whit a dirty sound nothing more, fuck him good i take the side of brant all the way baby.

      Josh V In most of the live shows of Kyuss I've seen, his voice just seemed off, but that could be the result of bad audio quality. His voice also seems to have gotten higher in Vista Chino and it dosent appeal to me. That being said, I'd prefer his vocal stylings over those of shitty radio rock bands.
