    Just started using the reminders app. Yesterday I added tasks to do today. I noticed at 9:00am I got a reminder notification. Is this how it works? Thanks!

    Let’s say I have a renewal of a very important document next year. Since it’s important it should be flagged.
    The problem for me is when I flag it, shows up in Flag list.
    Is there a way to have future flags not show up in flag list until the set day?

    • @Carl_Pullein
      @Carl_Pullein  Год назад

      This is why weekly planning is so important. You can add the date so you know its coming but only flag it in the week you need to do it.

      @@Carl_Pullein gotcha.

      I realized I was over complicating reminders. All I need is to know what needs to be done today. Some tasks get time alerts or location alerts, some don’t.
      What I did do is create a smart list called urgent. I filtered it with any priority. This doesn’t have do with daily tasks but future important tasks that could be done earlier than the dead mine date. For instance buy my wife a gift for her birthday(March 10) with a priority. This way I can always see it in the smart list and can buy a gift today if I want.
      So for me it doesn’t matter what list a task goes in. What’s important is setting a day and/or time and/or location.
      Reminders is for personal. I don’t have a business where I have work related projects or meetings.

    The reminders app does not remove smart date words from task name, e.g. when go to inbox and type "Take Louis for a walk today" and hit popup with suggested date, then 'today' word stays in my task name. But the date is set properly.
    Do you know why? The same on mac and iPhone as well.

    • @Carl_Pullein
      @Carl_Pullein  Год назад

      Yes. I noticed that too. I guess this is a work in progress for Apple.

    💪🙏 Carl: Amazing how freaking "NEGLIGENT" Apple has been to date or how Apple has "sat on," or been so freaking "lazy" developing their own in-house apps until now... Inevitably Apple will further "perfect" Apple Reminders and Apple Notes, and many task managers will then be "sher-locked" and DIE. This does not bode-well for stock in major task manager apps...

    • @Carl_Pullein
      @Carl_Pullein  Год назад +1

      Possibly, but then Apple always leaves frustrating things. We get used to them, but they don't helps us to enjoy a smooth experience.
