This was a long day. Take a trip from the South to the North of England and back with me, and discover an underrated seaside resort town with a grand seafront that really surprised me! It's a day out on the railways and roads of Britain for the motor trade.

That was a cheap train trip all the way from Scarborough! Nice.

If ever you have to go to Scarborough again take the M1 & then the A1m north & then the A64 signposted York & then straight to Scarborough it will be much quicker.

The furthest I get to drive is about 150 miles. The joys of delivering new leased cars to customers. :)

    It's known as 'Scary Barbara'.
Waterloo has become a fast food joint that also has some trains going to a few places.

That was a long train journey! Must have been a well paid job to make it worth doing without at least a partial return job.

I get paid per hour that I'm out from start to finish (including train), so yes long day = more pay!

Bit late to comment but if you ever go back. Visit Harbour Bar Cafe for knickerbocker glory. Best in the UK.
