For those who say this theme didn't fit obviously didn't watch the fight. Does nobody remember how technical the fight was while the ring was still there? It was a perfect theme for their warm up.
I love this theme. It captures the tension of the moment because at the time, everyone really thought Goku was their last hope. They were feeling out the fight and seeing if Goku actually stood a chance against Cell. No mistakes could be made or else he'd be a goner, and everyone knew it.
@wandering vagabond actually your wrong. He was using full power against goku. Tis why he gave cell a sensu bean. It wasn't till after he blew up and came back then he used his ultimate form against gohan
@@RandomComicEnjoyer no cell went full power vs ssj2 gohan. remember even goku couldnt see him when he moved full speed. Also cell should be able to use kaioken as well since goku used it on earth. So really goku had no hope against cell
@@FunkayMonkay149 no. Like I said cell had a zenkai boost when he fought gohan ssj2. He also went full power on cell cause they were pretty much at the same strength
Facts !!! the only reason those weaboos hate this ost is because one composer sued their precious funi and toei. But mainly funi but it doesn’t matter because this ost is king 👑 this was 90s DBZ whether or not they want to like it. This is what I grew up with yessir 99’ baby. Hearing a OST like this and looking at krillin, gohan, piccolo, vegeta, trunks, yamcha, and tien. Eyes gaze left to right at this fight made my 4 year old self know these niggas is boxing 🥊.
@@3rdwavemedia906 Hell yeah man! They had the timing down too. The music was badass and it was made in sync with the show. This fight and Goku vs Majin Vegeta are my two favorite fights from Z, mostly because the music was sick as fuuuuuuck!
The Faulconer Productions soundtrack captures the mystical feeling of DBZ so perfectly for me. Hearing this while Cell and Goku 'warmed up' above the ring at a level well above anyone else, the Z fighters' eyes struggling to keep up with the pace of the two strongest fighters in the universe (not counting Gohan). It added to the, again, mystical feel of it. Like it was something truly special being witnessed not just by the audience but by the characters. I loved the fight itself too, it might be the best from start to finish in terms of sheer action. Such fast paced and incredibly choreographed exchanges, but wrapped up in a package that doesn't have really any dragging moments.
This was my favorite fight of the entire series. Cell was the perfect villain, and I think he's deeply underrated compared to buu and freiza. I'd put him above both in terms of potential and demeanor. He's capable of anything sayains, freiza, or namekians can accomplish, that speaks volumes.
Uh, it's Freeza. Misdubbed translations spell it Frieza... Not Freiza. And Freeza is the best in my opinion. Just the sadisticness and pure evil really struck a chord and made me hate, yet love the calm and collected nature of him as if he's a cool guy.
Wow Orochi I’m very surprised about vast knowledge about anime fights. Indeed Gohan vs cell was cool and everything but This fight takes the cake . I love the way cell dodges with cell dodges with every little lunch it makes me aroused
Gohan vs Cell had more iconic, emotional and downright badass moments, but as an actual fight than just two characters taking it in turns to beat each other down, Goku vs Cell was better. The fact it pretty much ended as a draw shows just how evenly matched it was, and it really could have gone either way if Goku didn't call it off in the end.
This was the best fight of the Cell Saga. Gohan vs Cell was great because it was a pinnacle moment for Gohan, and finally seeing Cell get what was coming to him was wonderful. But as a fight it was very boring, Gohan just stomped Cell. This fight however was 2 master martial artists giving it their all
Cell held back roughly 10% of his power in order to fight Goku as evenly as possible. He craved a good fight. A side from both Vegeta and Frieza to want to fight Goku so badly.
Honestly this fight was more intense than gohans fight, for me anyways. I liked how goku had finally met his match and showed his desperate struggle for strength, it’s what makes the cell saga so memorable.
Nothing beats Bruce faulconers music matching each scene perfectly. Funimation was the best. People don’t realize how sounds can make such a difference and impact.
I come to say, this completely fits with the battle they have preformed for us. I never watched this show growing up, but at least I can say it sounds amazing to the ear.
one of the best tracks in the anime imo, something about it invokes a deep nostalgic feeling.its very endearing in a strange way like seeing how far Goku has come since the original DB and now clashing with galaxy busters
OMG! IVE LOOKED ALL OVER FOR THIS! WHY ISNT THERE AN ACTUAL TRACK FOR THIS!? First heard it when Frieza Powered up tp 100% against Goku and they went at it fighting over the crater of frieza's blast
Doc Hope There is. This is just the memorable part in a loop. I think the actual name is Taking It To The Air or Sky one of those two and you'll find it.
bro gohan vs cell has always been my fav because it was the very first dbz battle id seen but goku vs cell was epic this theme was a big boost to the cell saga #DbzRocks
This theme made me think that fighting with high level skill. Like best in the world type of skill fight. A fight like that is just like a dance theres beauty in it. Its truely an art form.
Yes, that's true, you need a pure heart and enough strength to manipulate the Spirit Bomb, but you don't necessarily need to be pure-GOOD, seeing as Kid Buu also managed to deflect it, and his heart was pure-evil, also being super strong. Goku overpowered him later, though, with the wish to restore his strength.
This music fits Goku vs. Cell perfectly, it sounds like he's giving it his all at his full strength, the peak of his abilities at the time. Yet no matter how hard he tries, he cant best Cell. After all his fights as a kid, against Piccolo, Nappa, Vegeta, the Ginyu Force and Frieza, Cell was the one he couldn't best. Never again would he be able to beat a villian by his power alone (Kid Buu doesn't quite count because the Spirit bomb was from everyone's energy).
That and they didn't even wait until the movie were Goku got a new striking feat. In his first battle pre-SSJG he punches a hole through King Kai's planet given the planets density and the volume of rock vaporized by the shockwave from Goku's punch that punch had enough force to destroy earth 9 times over at least.
That was a mistranslation they even covered that in the Death Battle man. I've read the manga also and in the Manga (which came first) it is INSTANT and had nothing to do with turning into light or whatever...he is able to freely travel between dimensions with it as well so Goku literally disappears and reappears someplace else.
Kid Buu basically toyed with Goku, until he turned SSJ3; however in the Manga Goku went straight to SSJ3. Kid Buu was in fact a tad bit stronger than Goku, and combined with his regeneration abilities, Goku's only hope was to combine his remaining power with the Spirit Bomb's energy.
This song actually played when Goku and Frieza were fighting on Namek. Frieza was at 100% at that point, but I think it is a better fit in the Cell Games.
@LightKiiraa Nope this plays when Frieza 100% fights Goku and then they do a bit of a chase. The theme played is actually longer in that scene then what is played here. I know because I didn't think this bit of music was played anywhere else but the frieza saga. =)
Goku vs Buu They were evenly matched until goku reached the point where he had to become super saiyan 3 so he can keep up with Kid buu...It is very hard to explain how Buu was able to hold off the spirit bomb....Buu was still more powerful than the Energy gathered for the spirit Bomb so he has able to hold it off....But i dont know if that is the reason why buu was able to Hold off the Spirit bomb its just my Theory
For those who say this theme didn't fit obviously didn't watch the fight. Does nobody remember how technical the fight was while the ring was still there? It was a perfect theme for their warm up.

Aaron Francis he hadn’t used many of his techniques, and if toriyama wanted him to win he would’ve, but he wanted gohan to win

What if Cell managed to take Buu's cells into his own?

When I was kid, long before RUclips, I bought the tape which had the episode this song was featured on just so I could listen to it.
This cut of the loop ends too soon. When the choir kicks in it gets even more epic.
